FYI - adding 1/2 cup of vinegar (plain or whatever flavor/odor you choose) into the No. 1 (urine) container eliminates any odor - also a spray bottle with diluted vinegar (10:1) helps with cleanliness and odor; just spray into the urine bowl and let drain into the No. 1 container or wipe down with tissue paper and toss the tissue in the No. 2 bucket (or in a trash bin if you wish).
Input that most of the videos tell at some point, although often glossed over: >For us US residents over 50, I believe 5 liters is approximately 5.3 Quarts or 21 Cups. >As with many other separator composting toilets, including the Trelino, one must "sit forward" for peeing and "sit aftward" for pooping. It seems rather normal for this style. >Also, most videos mention spraying before going in order to lubricate flow into the container, much like you would put a bit of H2O in the toilet bowl of a regular camper toilet before going, and again afterward to assure there is no lingering waste. Again, normal activity. This is also much like the effect of keeping water in your bathroom toilet and flushing it afterward. >If you adjust your wiping habit and put used tissue into a separate bag that gets emptied regularly/daily, it will save space in the #2 container and allow the medium to cover more waste, more efficiently. >Their wood chips are not the only medium you can use. Again, different videos make different suggestions. The fact is, they are nice enough to include anything to get you started - two bags of it even.
For emergencies its ok, but not as a daily toilet. The euroboz size is too tiny for that. Peeing is ok, but pooping is not ok on the Boxio. Too much “business” 😅 The clips to hold the optional undertray are falling off the whole time making it unusable.
I read the Boxio is a German company WHEN will Americans start buying products MADE IN THE USA instead of foreign made products??? The Throne is a wonderful composting toilet better engineered and better quality than the Boxio and it's PROUDLY MADE IN THE STATE OF IDAHO, USA.....
While I love American made, here is why people go for the other units: The Boxio complete toilet kit was under $200, as is the Trobolo. The Trelino was $375 complete. The Throne DIY parts only KIT(supply your own base container) was $190 The Throne kit, assembled with container, was over $700 --AND-- It is HUGE - it will not hide discretely in the corner of a cargo, passenger or family van -- it needs a bathroom -- plus an electrical connection for the extraction fan. Would I like to have the money to afford one and have the space for one? Sure, but I don't have either.
@@trishallenson4691 absolutely 😊 it's uncomfortable, think sitting on a Lego. The space between the urine separator and the solid bin doest quite work and you are either getting urine in the solids or solids in the urine area. It is disgusting to clean, the urine tank isn't quite right to empty the handle appears to be in the wrong place for emptying it fully. Too many reasons I can go on and on I'd be happier with a urine separator on a 5-gallon pail
@sandrastoffel Reading/watching videos, most have said to sit forward for liquids and back for solids. I agree the placement of the handle and emptying are inconvenient for dumping, but anything else would ave added to complexity of design. As for cleaning, it is no better and no worse than any other separating composting toilet and is vastly better than any non-separating toilets.

Thanks for the video, John!
Seeing a lot of Boxio products right now…nice concepts but they’re pricey! Thanks for the demo!
To the point. Nice features but it needs to be wider.
Thank you so much for this! 🙏
2.45 sec can u make this deposit at your locol council offices
Great informative video thank you

Hows the height to sit down and get up from ?
With the extra box below it's very comfortable
It's a pricey milk crate.
I bet yours leaks 🤔🧨💥
and REASONABLY priced. These toliets are OUT OF CONTROL with how much they cost.
You are exactly right it's probably $10 worth of materials tops. Think sitting on a Lego that's how good it feels 😂😂😂
It is not for a bigger person and it tip over so easy. Trelino is a better quality toilet but it cost $.
nice milkcrate

Sure, but I don't have either.
Oh, and it is made from recycled products/plastic.
Do not buy this. Buyer remorse here 😢
Would you share your thoughts about why??
