  • After the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941 the United States built 10 concentration camps. (War Relocation Centers). Over 110 thousand Japanese Americans were stripped of their civil rights, uprooted from their homes and taken to these camps. Manzanar is located near Lone pine California on the 395hwy. Its a great historic site just to drive through.

Very well made video! Done with balance and accurate information. There definitely could have been arguments made at the time that the fanaticism and treachery of the Japanese enemy might manifest itself in the hearts of Japanese-Americans. The Empire of Japan had just burned alive and drowned 3,000 American boys as they slept during an unprovoked sneak attack at Pearl Harbor as America was actively engaged in peaceful negotiations with them. An internal war of sabotage and spying were of the utmost concern. Would it have occurred? We will never know for sure because of the actions taken at places like Manzanar. War is truly hell and the innocent always suffer with the guilty. In fact they say "Innocence is the first casualty of warfare." Interesting video.
