you're right with 'Milli Vanilli' - they were the guys who don't sing by themselves but were just performing on stage. With any of their songs. The singing voice was the one of the producer himself, Frank Farian, who passed away just some days ago, on January 23th, 2024 (aged 82).
But the weird thing is both could really sing actually. It's not they were bad at singing
1:35 is the song from Werner Beinhart. The singer of the band "Torfrock", that performed this song, is Klaus Büchner, who also was the voice actor of Werner in the cartoon.
In Germany Xavier Naidoo (the guy with the unique voice) is known for one of the Singers whose Songs are the hardest to sing in Germany. In German Music Shows (just like German Version of Americas got Talent, X Factor, etc.) the judges are always like: "You really wanna sing this Song? Its really difficult.". He has so many good Songs that it would be worth to listen to them. :)
PS: Some of the songs are titled as German songs, although in this case it is only about the German-speaking countries. So Germany, Switzerland and Austria. DJ Bobo is Swiss, Falco is Austrian, etc.
Yes, Milli Vanilli was the group that was not singing.
And the song of Werner is from the movie "Werner - Beinhart".
The song "Das Boot" is a remake of the soundtrack of the movie, as it the 90's Techno and Electro remade anything, like Marusha with "Over the rainbow".

I edit the videos and read all the comments, which help. I'm also a bit obsess with statistics, for example in sport I'm a little bit of a encyclopedia, lol!

The short music clips are a bit annoying, cause you don't get a good impression of the songs, but I understand it's not easy with the copyrights and stuff. But yeah, as other people mentioned, maybe you could pick some of the songs you liked in the recaps, to react to them fully. Die Ärzte - Schrei nach Liebe is a very impressive song (and video) for example (it was in this 90s clip ^^) Anyway, you have a new subscriber here =)

If you need suggestions for German songs, let me (us viewers) know. Silbermond is a very successful band in Germany for example, that only appeared once in all those recaps, which is quite strange tbh. They had several number 1 hits and are still active (since 1998).

No, the guys in this video clip are "The Real Milli Vanilli) singing the song "Keep on Runnin'" and were the guys behind the (fake) Milli Vanilli - Rob and Fab who (not) sang "Girl you know it's true".

Hello, hope you had a nice day. Xavier Naidoo is one of the best singers in Germany, don't mention what he said. Rammstein's singer, Till Lindemann, is not guilty, because no one is guilty until it is proofed. The attorney of law had no point that Till or any of band have done illegal things. So they have stopped the investigation. The conclusion is that there was no illegal behaviour.

BTW: Is it very expensive to live there?!
Thailand can be cheap or expensive depending on location and lifestyle. Our house is less than $200 a month split with our coloc. Food is by far the biggest expense. If you are alone you can be very comfortable for 1.5k usd a month, some foreigners live on 1k a month. It depend on your lifestyle pretty much. I've seen people spend as low as $700 and some 5k plus a month.

Gosh! This was my youth, and I forgot about so many of these songs. I liked them all except for Xavier Naidoo, whose voice I found unbearable, I always switched channels when they played him on the radio. I bookmarked this video and will re-download as many of these songs as possible. Thank you very much!

Yes, "Milli Vanilli" was the popular group, that was found "guilty" of having dancers faking the singing, while someone other sang. There was also a suicide involved. Sad story, the music was quite good. The successful German manager/musician/producer, who was responsible for this mess (Frank Farian), just died two weeks ago in Miami at age of 82. He has also managed "Boney M."...
Frank also produced La bouche (also in this video). Melanie Thornton(the singer of la bouche) died in plane crash im 2001.

Many mistakes, Dj Bobo is swiss not german, Modo is italian, Enigma (romanian by Michael Cretu), Falco is austrian, Lou Bega is auf african and italian Ancestry not even a german passport.

Xavier Naidoo was probably one of the guys the video creator was distancing himself from, because for a long while he was a conspiracy theorist. He apologized for that now, but he said a lot of weird stuff. Maybe they were also distancing themselves from Rammstein, cause Till Lindemann had a scandal. There were claims by several women that he drugged them and brutally did stuff with them, but the judges declared him not guilty after looking into it, so I trust in the court verdict.
