- Welcome to our Kitchen Renovation REVEAL! We moved into our 1930s 3 bed detached house in Bournemouth last year, but finally decided to rip out the kitchen on Boxing Day 2020. It took 11 weeks, mostly done by my partner Benji in-between his full time job! We went with Howdens for our supplier, Karndean for the flooring, and then saved a lot of money on labour. It turned out even better than we imagined, it really is an amazing transformation. Today we discuss design choices, what the process was like, things that didn't work so well and everything in between. Enjoy! Brogan & Benji x

I was the same always thought I’d have wanted an island but the kitchen looks amazing now, yous have added so much value to the appearance of the space!

I love the "Bonnie's bedroom" idea. This is a fantastic way for her to have her own space but be out of the way of a busy kitchen. It is always hard to keep a dog bed/area near a light colored wall no matter how clean you keep them. This way you can hide a bit of that from view. Fantastic idea!

What a beautiful kitchen!! Benjy, you get a medal for all your hard work. And both of you worked really well together on making all of those decisions and sticking with what would work best for you. I shudder to think about the types of things that might be missed for months or years by others doing this kind of process but not having such a hands-on approach. Beautiful! Such hard work! We did our kitchen ourselves (apart from adding a window). Ceiling, walls, counter, plumbing, electrics, floors. We used a vinyl plank floor as well. Easy to install and looks great!

I could relate to so much in this video! Doing our own house renovation currently, have gone with Howdens for the kitchen (we originally chose the Fairford Dove Grey too but when we got to go to the show room my husband wanted a slightly darker grey so have gone for different cabinets) and we are going for an LVT floor. Have had 15 million samples of flooring come through and it is such a tricky decision!! You guys have really transformed your space and Benji has done a phenomenal job. You can really tell you guys are such a great team. X
We were SO close to going darker (as you can see in the clips in the showroom!), they are both so lush. I don't know why but the samples just don't help at all hahah. Thank you so much!! Wishing you the best with yours too! xx

The kitchen looks beautiful! I helped pay for my dad to get a new kitchen towards the end of 2019 I think it was and honestly the difference is unreal! I love mine & my dad’s kitchen now!

Wow it’s just gorgeous 😍 I always thought I wanted an island then we moved into our new house in October which has an island and I just hate it! Our kitchen also just doesn’t have the space for it. I love what you’ve done with the breakfast bar coming out and using that area for your hob and oven! Definitely something I’m going to look at for ours when we can redo it.
