How is it you play that high at 2:43 ?
Like you're playing in the 1st position but one octave higher
the magic of the harmonics, I play the guitar so it's way more easier to do them there... just placing gently the fingers over the strings (not pressing) in either 5, 7, 9 or 12th frets and play them. But you can modify if you keep pressed in 1st fret you have to place one finger in 13th fret and play it with the same hand, if it's pressed on the 2nd do it in the 14th and so on
In violin it's the same principle... but you don't have frets that serve you as a guide... It's all about the distance of the vibrant section of the string, harmonic are in ½, ⅓, ¼, 1/5 (the last one I don't remember) but there you have the harmonics ±explained

Perfect fourths, open string is third finger natural harmonic, for others notes, first finger with a perfect fourth in whatever position you're in will create the artificial harmonic

Well, i just got to say that this is one of the few really good interpretations of Gade's Tango Jalousie. Why? Because Simone plays it with dignity and because she keeps the alluring humour to a perfect minimum. It's all too easy to play this piece with an overexagerated emotion, but Gade would not have wanted this. This is a Tango, and should be played with respect and dignity.... -and yes, i'm a dane ;-)
Most popular mainstream performances don't maintain an over exaggerated passion.

Love how she "forms" the beginning , and her tune is truly warm and beautyful . You GOT TO have natural temperament , to play this ,and she has ! :) So this is really good entertaining ........I will say bravo to Simone Porter :)
