My first fight . I was like 6/7. At the bus stop with middle schoolers. As I'm bi-racial, they teased the hell outta me saying I wasn't black enough and I reminded them of King Kong with my afro (yes.. I'm that old. Shuddup.) I was a kid, so I had a couple of tears. That was the permission three of them needed to get physical. I fought back. I lost. I ran back home where dad was off work that day. He saw my blood and cuts. He asked, who won. I told him the truth and he preceded to take me BACK TO THE BUS STOP, where the bus hadn't arrived yet. He made me point out the ones who beat the dog piss outta me. I did. Dad called the boys over, asked if they did this to me. We in the hood, so off course they said yeah. My old man then told them FIGHT HIM AGAIN, in front of him. Say less. I was shook. They began to pound my a$$ like I was a piñata. My dad broke it up then without a word, took me home. He cleaned me, GROUNDED ME, then kept me home that day. He made a couple of phone calls. My uncle came over that night. He was the tri-state middle weight boxer who didn't compete cause he was the precursor to Mike Tyson. The weekend came and a guy my Dad knew, who was a Tunnel Rat during Vietnam, began to teach me martial arts. For the next few years I became stronger than I looked and and NEVER LOST A FIGHT since. My brother used to always test his theory that I was Goku or somebody. I hated fighting cause after you put a couple of folks into the dirt, humiliated, or in the hospital, I just didn't want. But my brother was the playboy of the streets. No female was safe from his charms nor his will to get those buns from her. Lets say, a few time boyfriends didn't like him smashing their girls.
