Great reviews. I like the level of detail. The one reason I like you reviews is the fact even with how disappointed you are with scag you hold them at a high bar and compare all to them so it add an element of true honesty. But I agree with you the bobcat even if they are going to leave them out clean them.up and make it look like you don't. My 15 year old cub was cleaner and I am not as detail oriented as you. No my liberty I am another level on that one because I really want it to last. The bobcat dealer near me just would not get back to me the only dealer I could get grat responce to was my scag dealer. They are a small shop but what great customer service. I picked mine up at the end of the day on a saterday and the only one still at the dealer was a young gal and she offered to hold the tip trailer up for me slwhile I loaded. Now if I thought it was necessary I would have had her back the mower on while I held it. But I will say in my experience you can have a product that is the best and if the dealer sucks you will be disappointed and you can have a product that is only ok and if the dealer is great they will make sure you happy with it. I have found over the years the manufacturer's do not have customer service. At least from most of them. I love my scag but mine was set up perfect from the start so I have had to do very little to it.. again I love the fact that you are picky and go to great lengths to find the faults. Many of which are completely ok to deal with however if you factor in price it should have all the quality of the scag ➕️
Sounds like you have an awesome dealer! like I said before I had scag fever in the beginning. One of the worst feelings in the world is when you purchase a machine like this and have an issue and reach out to the dealer and they are non-existent, so I reached out to scag directly and they didn't want anything to do with it. This was before I started publishing videos. I'm just a simple end user that wants a quality product and neither my dealer or scag could deliver it unfortunately, not once, but with three brand new scags purchased in one years time. It is what it is, and I will continue to give my opinion on any machine that falls onto my lap, not in a negative way per se, but pointing out areas in which they could improve upon. Usually it's minor like me pointing out how they could have routed the wires better for example, by adding a few extra tie wraps here and there to prevent premature failures. If my scags were built right from the get-go, you wouldn't see half of these videos and I would still have a Scag in my garage.

They don't make a lot of products you buy, they make a lot of products you buy better. Have you ever heard of that? Just curious.
Majority of dealers i've seen has mowers sitting outside resulting in rust, and faded plastic dry rotted rubber. Those who bring them in and out hopefully they tow them in neutral because running them for short stints everyday would be bad for the motor and hydros. Machine fresh out of the crate expect to pay full msrp.
If i can find one, looks like they are an hour or more away. it's not like a dealer is going to invite me on their property to rip their machines a new one lol. while that's not my main objective sometimes it happens. my main goal is to go look at all the different machines and express my findings, so that hopefully someone that is interested can watch them and get a closer look to make a more informed purchase decision :)
Bobcat z3000 is a toy compared to the John Deere z700 series. Even the 3400 is a poor comparison to the JD. Plus my dealer has sitting out in the rain and it’s already rusted.
The 3000 is the entry level residential model in my book. 3500 has commercial pieces but has some weak points also. I looked at a deere 9 series but the staff ran me off because they know about my videos. Oh well, they lost a sale. Just as well because I discovered hustler and pulled the trigger and haven't looked back since. I have a ton of videos of ask the issues with 4 brand new scags, that's what sent me on this 3 year goose chase to begin with.
After sleeping on this, my decision is final. If I'm going to pay full-spank for a 2022 then it needs to be brand new. Not one that's been sitting out in the sun for almost a year, and definitely not a leftover 2020 or 2021 model. Two bobcat dealers have quoted me 2022 MSRP prices on 2021 models. Even then, the 2023 models are right around the corner. Sadly they treat their zero turns like excavators.

@@galaxyphone7784 cash prices speak volume, some brands you'll get 10% off list, some like bad boy are 20% on average. i'm leaning towards a vanguard at this point, kawasaki has refused to respond to my emails. the fr, fs, fx, and ft according to kawasaki all have the same bottom end. there's olny minor changes up top including the throttle linkage, carb parts, and engine shroud, and air filters. and of course it's a horsepower numbers game. ever notice the FX is 1 HP less than the FR? goto kawasaki engines and look at all the fx engines, even the fr, the 651 691 and 730 are all the same block, bore and stroke. when you get into the fx series there's a problem child called a fx730v which is very common. i've read thread after thread where they are getting a little over 1000 hours on a kawa before they have trouble in the valve and rocker department. i'm not a certified mechanic, but some of these guys are and that's what they are seeing. any FX canister filter is superior to the FR and FS. infact the only difference is one of them comes with a prefilter wrapped around the airfilter. i could make a video about this but would take some time to cover all engines. if i were to get an FX today, it would be an FX751V. it's the entry level 850cc with an external oil cooler, just what I need here in texas but that's just me being picky :) there are EFI versions of the FT, and their filter is supped to be the best, not needing to be replaced for 250 hours or something, but it's still too new to know for sure.

I quit shopping for a zero turn. Too much smoke and mirrors, all these dealers don't even know what year model they have and they're charging too much for it. One more point, the Bota deck is 5" deep, the Cat 4.5", not sure if it'll make a significant difference in tall, wet terrain.
By the end of the day, I'm looking for a reliable machine, the resell value is also on my list, you never know these days.
Sounds like you secretly know you want a bobcat. I love mine. I paid 5,000 for zt2000 and after shopping around it was the beefiest mower for 5k and under.
I quit shopping for a zero turn. Too much smoke and mirrors, all these dealers don't even know what year model they have and they're charging too much for it. I think scag makes probably the beefiest mower. but after owning four brand new ones, they all had problems, The way scag communicates down to their dealers and on to their customers is ridiculous. It's their way or the highway. And any Scag built around covid season is going to have problems.
