- ASMR Binaural VS Ambisonics A: which sounds the best?
I haven't use the Zoom H3-VR very often and wanted to do a quick test in an ASMR video to ask if you hear a difference between two different recording modes: binaural and ambisonics A. I think that it might depends on your sound system. There are four audio tracks for ambisonics so I guess you need a 4-speakers system to enjoy the recording. I must say that I don't know in details about this technology. At any rate, I hope you'll enjoy this short #asmr
What do you think? Do you hear any difference? :)

I think every is good for me ❤
I don’t know anything about the technicality behind the microphones, but I can tell you that the binaural option sounds way cleaner
I like bothh^^ great job!❤ you just got an new Sub!^^
I‘m listening with headphones, is it just placebo or does binaural recording have a higher sound quality?
I think ambispnics better
Binatural made me feel tingles. I felt like the triggers were inside my head. It was smooth.
that is asmr my friend. I remember the first time I had that feeling in primary school
@@GloomyNatesame
binatural
same
you mean binaural
Binaural when things touch the mic.
Ambisonic when they don't.
U said it the best
Best way to put it
Yup i agree with this comment
I would have said the opposite. Different preferences.

I’m a big binaural guy, I love 3d audio and I love binaural mic touching
I’m gonna have to go with binaural because it makes everything so gentle and it’s so satisfying
I think binaural is good, it holds more sound and mix it together, but the Ambisonics A is pretty good too! I fell like the Amb. A gets more of the real sound
I think ambisonics includes more lower bass sounds would provides more intense tingles to me. Binaural also doesn’t have the precise tapping sound I enjoy as much either.
I agree
@@nj9566 me too

Same
Its the other way around actaully. Binaural captures the bassier frequencies more from a wider range it seems. Im pretty sure though, its just the difference between mono vs stereo.
Am I the only one who likes ambisonic better cause it sounds crisper?gives me more tingles
I agree, though from it seems we’re the odd ones out. I wondered if it’s because I’m autistic w/ Misophonia 🤷♀️

I like it as well, its clearer and every sound is heightened. Binaural sounds kind of under water.
It's the opposite for me. I enjoy the more fuller, heavier/dense, solid sound like the tapping. It has a thicker meatier sound.
Ur not the only one here.
The ambisonic is a new term for me, didn’t know there was a difference, the tingles felt more intense with that affect!
Binaural gives it a more smooth sound and allows all of the sounds to mix well. (In my opinion)👍
Edit: I usually don’t like it when people say “I’m famous mom” but, thanks for all the likes. I really appreciate it😨😁😊
With my earphones, binaural also sounded softer and just better overall...
Ambisonics A though is a lot smoother, like with the pencils and jars, binaural does let the sounds mix together good though👍
@@PierreGASMR good
@@PierreGASMRI agree
Binaural seems to include more lower pitch noises. I wonder why. There might be other differences but its hard to tell
Ambisonic actually tingled me 🤩
I feel like if you were to briefly blend from binaural to ambisonic then back again, similar to opening a cutoff filter, it could be really nice. Both give great tingles.
That's an idea. I could make a full video using sounds A, B and then a mix of both, which would mean layered as I cannot record both ambi and binaural at the same time ^^
@@PierreGASMRThat would be perfect
The last one is soooo gooooood😱🤯😮😲🙊😯😨🙀😧😦🙈🙊🐒🙉🐵🦧🦧🦧🦧🦧🦧
Omg the ambisonic glass tapping was soooo good. Please do more! 🥴
Ambisonics although a bit higher pitched & louder in the volume with my headphones was very one dimensional. There was no movement in the sound what so ever.
The binaural, on the other hand, was very full of movement & full of life. Yes, it's a bit quieter, but I could tell exactly where the item was at all times, even with my eyes closed. I love binaural asmr videos.
I would choose binaural every day of the week. Thanks Pierre, keep up the great work!
Thanks for your detailed feedback! I might make a full video using this setup, binaural recording. And also use the soft spoken, as whisperings aren't recorded that well with this mic. I think that the close visual and the binaural sounds, plus my voice sometimes might make a good video ^^
@@PierreGASMR your welcome & I agree.
I like the binaural☺️☺️
You are the only asmrtist that im ok with soft spoken asmr
Sound of pencil and empty small bottles tingles the most
Those plastic cup thingys!! They are the one to break my tingle immunity after so many years!!
I love that the most replayed part is the part where theres a random unintelligible whispers jumpscare
I just tested this mic again in Binaural mode, and OMG, it's a lifesaver! I've finally achieved the sound quality I've been searching for. It appears that Ambisonic mode gives the sensation of sounds happening around your head, while Binaural mode makes it feel like the sounds are occurring inside your head and closer to your ears. Thank you again for sharing this video!
I was feeling the ambisonics
Binaural for sure. Those felt 100% positional, like they were actually inside my head
I know headphones are better for asmr, but I often listen without and binaural effect comes through beautifully while ambisonics doesn't give any directional feelings (at least with my set up)
I also don't have any special setup... but maybe someone who is using a 4-speakers setup or something like this will hear things differently ^^
Your videos are like a peaceful melody, 🎶🌟 where I find my inner remedy. 🌸 Your gentle sounds are like a calming symphony, 🎶 they take me to a world of pure harmony. 💭 Thank you for creating such a calming space, 🙏 your ASMR helps me unwind.
50/50. 𝐈 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐥.
You took my ears through different portals. The different sounds are calming
Didnt know they were different. I like Ambisonics A
While I do enjoy them both, the binaural is by far one my favorite trigger sounds. There's something about it that reminds me of sitting at my desk from elementary school and up when a teacher, or visitor, would go around individually to each student and show an item(s) from a presentation, or things like lice checks because they always gave me tingles, especially when I knew I was next it would start, then go full on when they were whispering and showing you the things etc.
Binural
声カッコ良すぎて惚れる…
Binaural. There's a deeper timber to the sound, as well as a stronger directional isolation that makes my head go all funny.
I would chose both of them.
Mainly it depends on the object chosen.
First and second object would prefer binaural, the other 3 the other type seems to get me more tingles
Binaural sounds more visceral
Binural just sounds way more gentle and slow but the other type sounds more fast and agreesIve which I don’t like I also love your videos keep up the good work 🙂
i dont get tingles at all from ambisonics a
I think mastering certain sounds with and for both ambisonics and binural can make them go their full potential
Binaural all the way!
During recording I didn't notice any difference but while editing I also thought that, with my super cheap earphones, binaural sounded better.
Binaural Sound gives me best tingle...I dont know why but binaural sounds giving a very relaxed sleepy vibe....😴😴
Binaural
I like the ambionics sound better but I like when the sound can move from ear to ear
Definitely binaural, I feel like it blocks a lot of the background noise
Could you do another one of this? I watched the long version too. I really enjoy the mic, triggers and that switching modes.
I liked the first two sounds with the wool looking thing.
They all sound amazing😮
That mic is top notch never seen it before. I like that
The ambi is smoother and "cleaner" but the binaural messiness gives more "impacts" witch is what gives me tingles
binaural feels a lot more crisp to me, very tingly
those little jars hit a spot omg
God the two both are equally great in different ways for me
Binaural give me the chills, it sounds so cozy🙂
They are so different, it is really hard to tell! Sometimes one sounds better and sometimes the other sounds better. In the vid sometimes binaural was quieter than the ambisonics version.
I think binaural is sound that goes from left to right ear depending on where the sound is coming from and ambisonics is even audio on both sides no matter where the sounds are coming from
AmibisonicsA for low pitch sounds, binaural for high pitched sounds 😊
Liked how the ambisonics changed things up a bit👍🏻
I usually hate when stuff is on the mic or scratching the mic or whatever but this is the first time i don’t mind it with the first one 😮
I like them both I don't have headphones so to me one sounds louder and more aggressive and the other sounds more quiet and calm:)
They both sound great, but I got a lot more directionality out of the binaural - as in, I could really hear the sounds moving around my head. Always loved that sensation.
On the second time through, certain sounds are clearly better with ambisonic, some binaural. The ambi got really nice quality no matter what - the binaural was more hit and miss
Binaural gives me chills behind my spine
Binaural addict here!! And you made a new subscriber ;0)
Both are great
I personally think the first one, is far more crisp. Good for videos focused on listening to you speak. Whereas to make a more passive ASMR sound the binaural is better
I love how ambisonic felt like someone was scratching my brain with a toothpick to remove the small rocks
I don’t get tingles and I couldn’t tell the difference in the sounds, but I liked them both!
Ambisonics A for me!! 😻💖
Binaural gives me tingles from within
Ambisonic gives me tingles up in my head
I just can't decide which is better because both makes me feel goodd,, I think binaural is like a reverbed with a deeper & smoother sound than ambisonic and is what most asmrists use I think!
With both earbuds in, binaural gives better directionality, which I like better. With just one in, it doesn’t matter too much, but the binaural does goes quieter as it moves away.
you are the king of asmr i just slept i woke up 4 hrs dpa sleeping with your asmr 😅
Thank you! Glad my videos help you. And... Saitama! :D
@@PierreGASMR :)
That first Binural fabric sound, I need more of that sound 😢
Ambisonics A got me drooling. 😴
Ambasonic is so tingly
And binural too but some of the props can be very raw and doesnt goes to my tingle immune
Def ambisonics A i got shivers down my spin from it, it made me so sleepy
Binaural on the first trigger was amazing!
For me, ambisonics is great for watching something and feeling up close, and binural is great for wanting to feel like you're a part of what you're wathcing.
They are both relaxing, but I got more tingles from the binaural mics
I like the binaural more for things that are moving around the microphone, but if it’s staying still I think I prefer the ambisonic
For clicking, scratching or popping sounds - BINAURAL is the best.
For me at least
For distant triggers the ambisonic and for closer to the mic the binaural.
Beard looks great, asmr is a def bonus
Binaural felt like stuff was happening around my head. Ambisonic felt so distant I couldn't FEEL it to get tingles
it tingles my back
For distant sounds like tapping, ambisonics, for closer sounds like scratching, binaural.
Both are amazing in their own ways
I'm shocked, that everyone loves the binaural 😂😂😂 after hearing it I thought that soooo obvouisly ambisonics😂 That shows how everyone has a different taste😍
I like switching between them
I really like the binaural sounds
For me it just kept getting better
I like both back to back
Binaural has better sound clarity when the source is from the left or right. However, the ambisonics does better at making sounds feel like they are coming from the front and back while still having distinguishable sounds on the sides.
Overall, the sensitivity of the binaural's sensitivity is optimal for tingly sounds, but ambisonics is better for omnidirectional sounds.
Cant say which one is better. But combination of both works great.
Holy cow Underrated asmr! Totally earned my sub sir!🫶🏻
Pencils ✏️ and the containers 🫙 at the end 😍😌 💆♀️ #binaural
binaural for all of them (except maybe the last one) the ambisonic a sound makes it sound very airy/dry and unnatural. binaural balances the sound better and more realistically in my opinion. very smooth.
Binaural, 100%. Felt like the sounds were happening around my head, rather than just a sort of stereo sound.
Number 4 was my favorite
I like bianural because of the slight fluctuations in sound really stir up my brain soup
I prefer the binaural but I really liked the ambisonic with the glass phials.
I like Ambisonic more personally;
-More surround sound, 3d is the best way I can describe it.
-Distance is more correctly tuned
-It sounds more natural
Binaural definitely has better bass which is some people’s thing though
Both sounds great..but on the color pencil the A sounded better
