The best, most old school, footage I've ever seen. Kinda before his day in the tnt series, and big events. Very humble beginnings, much respect for Dennis Anderson for staying that way his whole life, humble and never forgets where he came from
The Mural on those rear door panels was so sweet! I realize he had to remove them for air flow to keep the temp down, but man that was cool. Too bad they've never been able to recreate that aspect of the truck. I guess that's part of what makes Grandma such a legend!
@@mikekilhoffer8540it was intentional, “Skool” is a slang term kinda relating to badass stuff, like, the cool kids at school might write “Skool sucks.” In this case, the old school is cool, as in the monster trucks, so he spelled it “Skool” instead
Dennis should rebuilt it. Instead of letting it rust away in front of his business. I was there years ago. He was there and a good friend of mine asked him why he never rebuilt it. He was like never had the time or money. Me and my wife and friends of ours was like yeah right u got money to build other monster trucks and mud trucks. And yes it's for sale. @@charliered420 we seen that when we was there about a year ago and Dennis was getting ready to go to an event and his boys was getting there monster trucks ready. Trust me when they start tuem up u will be needing earplugs cause they are dam loud.

On the bright side, They now hang on the wall in Digger's Dungeon, N.C.
It’s a display peace at the grave digger home base
Facts @@bustyrandit
Never seen that footage before.
Thanks ,
I always loved this digger. Always have. Always will!
Yea I hate to say it but I always thought the Ford body digger was better looking.
I personally prefer the longer wheelbase recreation they use in the anniversary encores.
So badass my favorite version of the grave digger
No one talking about the 64 2 door impala he crushed but back then it was just another car even in 87.
Back then those cars were considered junk but nowadays it's different haha
Others in that lineup are starting to get appreciated too, times certainly change
This guy has been a beast since day one with grave digger.
I remember seeing him for the first time in Richmond colosseum . 1987 or 88. I was 9 years old , best time of my childhood life
This is the truck I grew up watching as a kid on tv
This is Westport Massachusetts I was sitting in the announcers booth he almost flipped over on lol great times
Tyler, I was there also. Westport Fair Grounds, Westport MA.
I wish they would smash cars now. They don’t do that anymore.
I know. It’s so boring without crush cars! 😒
What the hell do they do now then??
@@BaltazarMartinez727 hit dirt jumps of all shapes and sizes. It's the most boring shit ever.
So why did they stop
@@JayBelAir420 I guess junkyards became more sentimental and made crush cars more pricey.
BAD TO THE BONE FOREVER.
Monster truck Classic old skool is the best
You spelled “School” wrong.

He changed the driveshaft for the crowd. That is OG
This is beyond cool , this is awesome
Wow neat footage!
Cool sight seeing old school (my personal thought best one of the fleet) run in the mud.
Thank you for sharing.
The best Monster Truck of all time.
Happy 5th anniversary grave digger
I remember seeing Gravedigger and Bigfoot in Philly at the Spectrum years ago! It was so loud in there.
Already breaking shit! Good man!
Legend since the beginning
I was there that day .never forget it .. helped wash it after the mud bog .. Grave Digger fan sense .
brian field that’s a cool story
The originator of the freestyle long before it became the attraction. This footage is incredible.
As a kid I was sad when they switched the body to a chevy, the Ford looked so much meaner.

I heard he said he won't restore it because of his late friend, who made the spooky mural. Fixing it up would lose his original work.
@@charliered420 that's what I was told on there page.
@@Jesse_Jessie_James Well, at the same time, the artwork would also go away if left to rust. It's already starting to fade.

That 64 Impala would be worth more now than the monster truck is lol
Probably not
@@j4y_37_____3 Exactly
How? A monster truck is specially made, not exactly more common than a 64 Impala
I doubt it with grave digger on the side it has increased prob quadruple that amount since grave digger is a legend now
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT,S DIGGER TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME , FUCK YEAH THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS.
this is old monster truck grave digger grandma
Nice to see, the Beginning,of a Famous MonsterTruck!! Metro Detroit Loves you guys!!! G
Love it but the OG one is red but still very cool
The red one was converted into this one back then
@@joyoustye2326 the red mud truck was a different truck. The blue and silver grain truck, technically #1, was turned into Grandma.
Grave Digger 1
Anyone else here after finding out this truck is going to be restored? 😎
Where did you hear that?
That poor 64 impala
Thank God someone else seen that hurt my feelings. I'm over here and can't afford to buy one and they are out there crushing them in the 80'$
I love it grave digger is my all time favorite
Now it's all rusted in a field.
Kinda sux
Yeah he said hes gonna let it rust in peace
This film quality reminds me of trailer park boys

I wasn't born then amazing to see what was in the world back then
15 ton axles?
Greyowl weight rated to support 15 tons.
Greyowl They’re 5 ton axles

I believe that this was the first ever freestyle run.
That frint driveshaft just bangin around everywhere. Lol

The real deal
My brother actually got to meet the original grave digger driver
Wow
Man he drove over 64 impala , it hurts
Take a shot everytime he says "Dennis". I double dog dare you.
Tbh I thought monster trucks back then would sound way different idk why
Dennis Anderson und Grave Digger
😱 64 2 door impala last car crushed.
Who cares
OSDCrusher people who like old cars
I have owned and thoroughly enjoy antique automobiles. However still don't care if a monster truck crushes one
Yeah, I'm more worried about him hurting the poor panel wagon more than the car but back then it wasn't really a classic yet like it is nowadays.
Whatever grave digger #1 is better
1987.
I like grave digger panel truck
I wonder how many classic cars he destroyed in his career?
Or just junk cars in general
@@Goon_Lagoon69420 for sure
