I also have this guitar. It's a great guitar. I tried something for fun to see if the setup of the pickups was really changing the tone. I bought a regular pick guard and reinstalled the pickups right side up and with the normal angle for the bridge pickup. OMG It sounds different. For my taste It sounded way better after the change. Those vintage 65 pickups are awesome. I also have an American Special Strat and this Hendrix model made in Mexico is way better. The way It came with the reverse pickups also sounded really good. It's a matter of taste and it also sounded more like Hendrix. It's my favorite Strat.
@Wayne Willis thank you...I really do appreciate the feedback! I'm not paid by anyone...it's a tiny channel for now...at some point I may be....and if I am...I'll disclose it. One thing I assure you, though....if I don't like a product...I won't demo it.
All I can say is wow. That Strat sounds great and should help sell a few more today. As for the switch, I seem to hit it and change the tone too. That is the only complaint I have on my Strat, and still think it's the best electric guitar ever invented.
@MrAlsfan5 and that pesky spring? The only other complaint I forgot was the middle pick up....it gets in the way too at times....but I agree...what great guitars! Oh by the way...we have an absolutely AMAZING video coming this Thursday! Wednesday's video is good too.....but just wait!!
@@RockHardRiffs Ahh, color me intrigued. Yeh, I forgot about that spring, lol. Other than that, I love that Strat, though I have to admit loving all my guitars. Each one has a different sound, and I play them to try and sound like the artists that use them.
@@MrAlsfan5 read Luc's comment....great stuff. Yes that's why I have different guitars too...it's all about the tone! Believe me...you are REALLY GONNA DIG Thursdays video...I now have a second part to it, as well. I'm thinking of moving Sunday's video to Monday so it would be Monday thru Friday for videos. Opinion?
@@RockHardRiffs If you do it in two parts, then you can do the old radio/TV announcer routine of "Tune in tomorrow for the exciting conclusion of". Actually, either way is cool avec mois. (my entire French vocabulary) This keeps getting better and I am really looking forward to that video no matter whether it's done as one or two parts. I myself would like to see it in one video, but maybe because I am 72 and am afraid to miss out on anything.
@@MrAlsfan5 I didn't have any choice. I edited the original footage and made it into a finished video. I later got more footage and it's too late to add it to the original...plus actually I think you might like it in 2 parts...maybe more. Tomorrow's is good too....listen to the Epiphone Casino boom in a 'how to play' video.

@Luc Fontaine great comment! Very cool! I'm going to pin this. Rock on my man!
Really enjoying your videos. The bigger channels are just full of infomercials trying to sell products.
