- Vintage Guitar Oldenburg and Tobias Hoffmann present a Epiphone Sorrento 1962 limited edition. More infos at: www.vintage-gui...
The guitar shown was played through a Fender Pro Amp from 1959 and recorded with a Shure SM57 (left) and a Sennheiser 409 (right) . The backing tracks were recorded into a Fame Twin Looper on the same instrument right before the recording of each video. We used the Origin Revival Drive and a Greer Amp Ghetto Stomp for overdrive sounds. We used the Strymon Flint for Reverb and the Electro Harmonix Freeze for additional loops.
Tobias Hoffmann is a award winning guitar player from cologne, germany. He combines the sounds of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Surf and some experimental stuff. Check him out:

I have owned the 1966 Sorrento since 1983! Very comfy neck and I love mini humbuckers more than HB!
Such a monster player, every demo is superb.
Very delicate touch, great tone and playing!
Hey….that was great. Wish I could play mine like that. What a mood made from something so harmonically simple! Damn!
Sweet sounding guitar.
Great sound, perfectly played. Tobias make the best out of it !
I needed to make a comment about The playing , Well done!
Came for the guitar test, stayed for the music and guitarplaying.
Thats a nice guitar. I was due for a new Quest anyway
With humbuckers why is there so much hum?
I've got one of those, need to replace the bridge with Gotoh or something, it rattles and the first string wore a groove in the saddle causing "sitar effect", instead of clean sounding. Great guitar otherwise, thanks for sharing!
Mine does the same, if you find a fix please post!
