- My nostalgic love for Super Powers has driven me to this McFarlane Toys reboot, but a few significant flaws have made me skeptical of its potential. Will the Batwing redeem wave 1? We need chrome vac Cyborg, Shazam, man-bat, riddler, catwoman, bizarro, reverse flash, supergirl. That's the first ones I blurt out on Instinct.
Informative video. Yes, for now at least, the new 'Super Powers' BATWING does save this Mcfarlane line. So far, the Mcfarlane retro lines have been on the disappointing side. Also, as you showed, the 1984 'SP' figs are a little smaller and fit even better into this new BATWING.
Green Lantern is the fourth figure of the first wave. No other figures are listed on his card back. He’s part of the fully stocked Super Powers floor display, and shouldn’t be a chase. He should be available as the other three, once everyone who bought the first three calms down about seeing him.

I'd dispute that as you see Green Lantern on the cardbacks and as the assortment for wave 2. 👍

I've been through two Batwings already and need a third. Having a canopy break issue on the hinge. Same place both times.
The vehicles are definitely the highlight so far, very disappointing that the figures aren't in the same scale as the original line, I feel at some level like I'm being trolled by McFarlane,
If they r afraid of spring super powers....not worth it eh? Then throw in a batarang...or maybe light up eyes like ol Darkseid sp for Supes, Zod, Darkseid....even Cyborg could use a light up red eye. But for Cyborg, gimme that vac chrome. U gotta do the vac chrome....call it deluxe, charge more....but gimme that Cyborg w chrome and attachments ASAP, please.
Seems to me like the vehicles were made with the original size figures in mind.

Green Lantern isn't a chase or 2nd wave, He is in wave 1 all are in wave 1 and at Walmart their is a display bin that all of them along with the new Black Adam figures come in on.

You are right about the chests being puffed up, ... no holes in the feet for pegs for stands
( the good news is the newest figures have them)
...the capes are a little of a disappointment with the hole in them and the material... but we can hope things work themselves out and everything gets even better.!! Thumbs up.!!
Thanks for the great feedback! I've recently found the latest figures (so I think I have everything on the pegs so far), and before I've even opened them, I feel there's an improvement. Of course, each will get their own videos soon enough!
The Batwing canapy will break
So far, so good...
I'm digging how they match up. I really want to get one and weather it up as a vehicle for one of my Damian Wayne figures - like he got it out of mothballs and stole it from his dad

Be careful opening the canopy on that Batwing. It opens too fast and breaks off easily.

Finally found Supermobile and Darkseid this morning and John Stewart! San Diego.
A friend had a John Stewart sighting here in Phoenix, too! He's out there!
GL is part of what I assume is an ongoing wave 2 alongside flash and the Batman who laughs (photos showing up of those hitting Walmarts)
Unlike wave 1 where it shows the complete wave on the card back the next 3 just add themselves to the back.
Now there are leaked photos ,possibly factory photos, of 2 figures from I assume wave 3. Reverse flash and a modern looking Wonder Woman.
Those other batman figures in the toy isle would probably look good with that Batwing..

Not sure if this answers your question but the cross-sell on the back of the Superman, Batman, and Darkseid cards features only those three figures, while John's card shows a pic of him added in with them. Presumably, as the line continues, this will become an ever-growing group portrait. Wave 1? Wave 2? It just isn't clear to me.
Getting mixed reports...we'll just have to see how it shakes out!
is there value in the future for this set / wave ? -batman, superman, darkseid, batmobile..
If you're asking if these figures are an investment...I don't think my parents would've thought so of the original Super Powers in the '80s, so you NEVER know -- but, the point of Just Open It is to open and enjoy these toys!
