Bill, I'm with you that I expected more of a WOW factor with Michigan's OC, but the reality is that's much easier said than done. I mean, pulling a retread OC who was a HC somewhere isn't exactly a guarantee. Like, do I really want Mike Locksley? Is that that much more exciting? Lindsey is experienced, competent, and a professional. His style is adaptable. Moore will set the agenda. Moore has his own knowledge and concepts to incorporate if need be. And obviously he wants to feature more passing, probably even more than when he was OC. I was skeptical about him wanting to throw more given what he did at Penn State last year, but then I saw him at Indiana try to throw with Davis Warren on first down every drive, so I think he's trying to force it. (Didn't make that mistake in Columbus.) And for the whole group: I agree that "Would Ohio State be better off on the road?!" is just hot-take artistry for attention. BUT! You are being overly dismissive of it. It's not _that_ wild. No one is saying fans would boo them out of the tunnel. The point is that the crowd will be anxious and uptight, like their coach, and the team will pick up on that energy. You say the fans will only boo if the play is poor. Is going three and out on the first two drives too early to boo? Especially if they are down 7-0? Because that might happen. It basically did in the Michigan game. A whole lot of booing in a close game. If you go on the road, it's a different energy. You're feeding off the crowd as the away team, playing to shut them up. Come out, punch the home team in the mouth, and boom, you're the ones in control of the crowd. Also, don't forget that it will be very cold, and Ohio State hates the elements.
The cutting in line thing sounded like a Curb your Enthusiasm episode, haha love you fellas
Love having the gang together!
Bill, the Rankin/Bass Christmas collection is the best. No notes.
