Theater Talk presents a preview of the upcoming New York theater season, featuring Adam Feldman of "Time Out New York," Jesse Green of "New York Magazine," and Michael Musto of Out.com. They debate whether the season will be dominated by new musicals adapted from movies like "Bullets Over Broadway," "Rocky," and "The Bridges of Madison County," or by original musicals such as "If/Then," "Violet" and "Beautiful." They also talk about promising new plays including Bryan Cranston playing LBJ in "All The Way," James Lapine's adaptation of Moss Hart's memoir "Act One" and Harvey Fierstein's intriguing new work about cross-dressers, "Casa Valentina."

"Curtains" with David Hyde Pierce is the last original musical comedy that I can remember, however the behind the scenes of "Spiderman: The Musical" could be seen as a comedy. I always thought someone should write a play about the failure of "Spiderman the Musical".
Three egotistical, misogynists sit around trashing EVERYTHING! They are so rude to Susan particularly her co-host Michael--what a condescending jerk. The only one worth listening to is Adam. He actually has something cogent to say.
Why nothing on Gentleman's guide or mice and men?
Shakespeare didn't create most of his own plots. It's not where it comes from but what you do with it....
These smug snobs make fun of Bryan Cranston, and he went on to win the Tony and the show was a hit. They couldn't find their asses with flashlight.
