These are the from the gates 48-52 which can be used by both domestic & international. Quite rare to have a youtube video showing this part as most international flights arrive through 53 & up.
Hi, great informative video. I am flying from Australia to Seattle on Air Canada with a transit at Vancouver airport. Air Canada seem to say that my bags will be checked through to Seattle, is that correct? Do I go through US customs in Vancouver before my connection or when I get to Seattle following my flight. I'm finding it hard to get a straight answer. Any advice will be much appreciated. Tks.
You will clear US customs in Vancouver. Your bags should be checked all the way to Seattle but check the tags when you check in just in case, and if for any reason US customs challenge you in your bags then they may call them. Just follow the signs for US connections when you arrive. Hope this helps.
Just so you know UA-cam has a function to add translations to your video title and description so that you don't need multiple languages in one video; the title and description display in the language that the viewer has in their settings
Thanks for this video. We are connecting in Vancouver on our way to Toronto, so I am wondering if we would have to recheck-in our bags after immigration at the Vancouver airport? if we take the Canada Connections route, would we be bypassing certain steps?
Depends on the airline. When you get to the Canada connections there is a panel that shows you which airlines can connect directly, others need to pick up their bags. There will be people at the connections machines that can let you know.
I am flying from Hong Kong to Vancouver then to Edmonton? And it’s all Air Canada. Do I have to pick up baggage/ luggage in YVR arriving from Hong Kong?
I’ve been to Thailand I’ve been to Malaysia I’ve been to Singapore. I’ve been to Australia and New Zealand and Fiji and Tahiti and India and Burma and Vancouver is the worst airport experience I’ve ever had
Really helpful, thank you

Is there a NEXUS lane in the domestic connections area for arriving international passengers?

Hi - if you have a domestic connecting flight from YVR, do you have to get your luggage in YVR already or in your final destination? Thanks!
If you have a domestic connection you will need to collect your bag in Vancouver, clear customs then check them in again to your final destination.
@@ehabweb thanks a lot!

Says a lot since YVR is possibly the best in all of North America at the moment, with YUL a far 2nd contender.
Really...don't get me started on Malaysian directions 😂
