The high school next to the elementary school I used to go to once had like 1980s or 1990s wheel lock fire alarms on the California code. They have new fire alarms now; still on the California code. I hate California code personally. They had that code too at my old elementary school and it sounded loud and ugly.
The freshman school in my city originally had a weird system that involved system sensor MASS horns and remote strobes and now they’re moving to wheelock ZNS’s district wide and now because of the weird fire alarm setup, they have ZRS strobes and ZNS remote horns in place of the remote horns and remote strobes. I imagine ZNS remote horns are extremely rare.
Of course nowadays, Wheelock only makes those exclusively for Siemens. Everyone else has to use the Exceders. But I do remember the assisted living place my late grandmother lived in for a while had ZNS horn/strobes and remote strobes on a Gamewell-FCI system, original to the building's 2008 construction.
Those are in my school, but they may need to be looked at sometime because I don't think they are supposed to pause for over 8 seconds when on code three. Even the strobes stopped flashing for that long. Update: now they are set to pulse
@@kylesmassproductions6374 probably renovation or fa upgrades. My school district is also moving away from wheelock and going system sensor. By the time they finished all the construction and FA upgrades to the schools . It’s going All System sensor (except one of the high schools). And next year they are going to replace the only simplex system in my school district in a high school with notifier system of some kind. My middle school (soon to be my high school) also got some fa upgrades. Putting in new l-series speaker strobes in the new wings and renovated areas of the school.(the school system is all advances except for the portables, expanded, and renovated areas). Too bad they replaced the System. It looks like it would be 2 types of systems for my district. A notifier system with spectalert advances or l-series if not those classics. At least there going notifier not est. (as of I think of it we probably went to the same district) (and I live in happy valley)
@@kylesmassproductions6374 yep. I think the l-series will be more common the the spectalert advances. I have seen several systems installed with l-series. I Actually like the L-Series. In my area spectalert advances invading every signal building like the plague. At lest the indoor ones are discontinued but the outdoor ones are still being made. I can see it being installed in Outside of downtown Portland but downtown Portland has a lot of Simplex.
I wanna say the college I'm attending has a few of these in different buildings, funny as someone who grew up afraid of fire alarms also interested me in learning about how they work (more specifically fire lights which are the ones in school, at least that's what their "unofficial" name is. but anyways this brand is my second favorite, Siemens has been around for some time! I feel like there are others besides Siemens are am I wrong?
I have seen this alarm many times in a real building and I heard this alarm in a real building before because I was in a facility that had these and they were doing drills and then this was the alarm that was installed in that building so I heard it many times.
I have a request for a system, my school has white wheelock exceeders, white wheelock AS’s, white spectralaert advance and the pull stations are RSG T bars the smoke detecters are System sensor 2151
I love those wheelock and fire alarms
Me too
My favorite fire alarm brand

Hello !
A question:
Can I put this alarm with a fire pull button and connect it to the 120 v power to make practice of evacuation ??
12 volts or 24 volts, PLEASE do not use 120v as it is way too much and it WILL fry your devices.
Ok thanks !!
My high school and middle school got the same ones but red but my elementary school had 2901 9846 on a light plate on March time

are you sure the smokes are 2151's? those are conventional smokes, Most system sensor smoke detectors look the same
@Jeff Hopper
I just assumed it was cause it looks like 2151.
