I was thinking the same thing, but I’m almost 40 and I don’t really have much in the way of that aging skin. I still get breakouts though so it’s not exactly fun. I’d take the oil if it didn’t mean pimples.

Just from experience and my cousin being an esthetician, for hair care and skin care especially you 100% get what you pay for. The ingredients alone are just unfortunately much better in high end stuff
I've been told that for skincare, just because some have more expensive or more rare ingredients, it doesn't necessarily mean they work better. A lot of the time it's just packaging, marketing and paying for a higher end brand name. Luckily, there's brands to fit everybody's different budgets and preferences :)
@@LeahWhispersASMR yeah sometimes that's true but really most of the time unfortunately it's not. At least that's what she tells me. My dermatologist has said the same. I wish it wasn't true cuz I'm cheap 🤣
@@lmt16 Me too! looool 🤣 I've been using cheaper drugstore brands since I started using moisturizers at 11 or 12 or something and I've never had a problem so I don't know... I just stick with them haha

The ordinary has this amazing retinoid serum that is about $7-$9 that should last you up to 2-3 months and it's perfect for aging skin with out the drying. Also I know you said you have dry skin, try adding a hyaluronic acid serum alone before moisturizer and your skin will love you

I have that as well for removing makeup! I forgot to bring it down too. I'm still pretty new to using it, but absolutely love it 😊

Hey Leah! I use almost the same exact Neutrogena face wash. Maybe they sell a different kind in the states? My bottle looks identical except for the green, and it’s also for sensitive skin. I know the pain of dry sensitive skin... and I remember you mentioning breakouts on your chin, which I also struggle with! Annoying when you have dry sensitive skin, because targeting breakouts usually just irritates it): my dermatologist is my best friend lol
Oh cool! Yeah, I've noticed that as well. The same products are sometimes packaged differently between the US and Canada. You're so lucky she's your best friend lol. Would she be horrified to know I tried the toothpaste hack last month on a breakout on my chin?? It worked loooool
