That’s crazy I love LS’s but if I had to pick another motor it would be that motor that’s insane looking great job though
Fr when u find the engine mounts I'm need them for a sbc swap
Chevy mounts?
If you check out my latest video (coming soon) I show what I did for the JZ mounts for this chassis
What????? Nice man, definitely original.
Nice!...been thinking about a 2J in our chevelle...its an original inline 6 car so it seems more appropriate than an LS
Follow long and see how mine goes haha
It honestly seemed bit tougher until I test fitted the engine. Really doesn't seem like it'll be too crazy
Awesome man I’m trying to get my hands on an 06 Envoy 4.2 Atlas Motor to put in my 73 Nova
Hey how is it going I have a 1970 nova four door and I was actually really interested in puttin a 1j in it I wasn’t sure if anyone has done it before but I’m not sure what to do with the harness
I'm just going to try and keep it simple, largely keep the stock harness intact. I'm planning on a standalone later on anyways do I don't want to get too far into this one
How are you doing the motor mounts?
Lukcily the JZ mounts are pretty simple, and I cam use the top half of them since it's basically a single bolt hole almost straight down.
Then just make some pedestal for them to attach to the chassis somewhere.
That's the next step, i have to clearance some stuff on the firewall first though...
@@jamesmcmahan5502 sorry I didn't see this haha, go check out my Instagram 😁 @new_spin
Hey is this a front sump or rear sump? I know my inline 6 is rear, but was wondering if a front sump 2j fits.
My buddy has put a 2jz in a Nova. 8 second car. ua-cam.com/video/nZRcEDf9i_Y/v-deo.html. Good luck with your build.
Hey really happy to have found your channel. I subscribed. I’m doing a 2JZ swap into my 65 Nova (actually a Pontiac Acadian Canso) Just acquired the short block and have the rest of the parts coming. I will be watching to save myself some headaches. Thanks for posting
That's awesome!
I've seen a few 1st/2nd gen Novas etc that have been JZ swapped. There may be more info out there for your chassis than mine even haha
@@new_spin I just started searching for info and yours was the first that popped up
