Hi Keely, what a wonderful soap, sometimes the simple designs ones turn out stunning. Some of the flora and fauna you mention I have not heard of, could be since I'm on the other side of the world. Would you be interested in putting up photos sometimes? It would be interesting to see what you are talking about, I really enjoyed when you showed the echidna in your yard.
Oh my, that swirl is fantastic! I enjoyed the Eucalyptus information. I've never seen a eucalyptus tree in real life, so that's cool you have them all over.
Love the facts. Had no idea there were so many sorts of eucalyptus. That honeys sounds amazing too. The inside reminds me of eucalyptus plants lol Lovely soap 👌🏻
Beautiful! It’s so elegant looking and perfect colour choice. I think the proportions are spot on. I always end up with too much colour...lesson learnt 💕
Soy and Shea haha, yes you’re right. So much in soapmaking is tricky...which is why it’s such fun and very addictive 🤣🤣. I love your videos, they’re just so informative and full of inspiration. 💕
@soyandshea Stunning drop swirl Keeley, well done. Eucalyptus fragrance is so refreshing and I love the colour choice for this soap. With soap making, you never quite know what the end result will be, but this one is a winner. Last week I tried Unicorn Farts fragrance oil and there was no info on how it reacted in CP soap. Turns out it dis-colours really badly :( , so well done on having your soap colours stay true. Look forward to the weekend's video :)
Hello, I'm in Melbourne and would've to try to recreate this soap as I love this scent idea. I'm new to all this and don't know how much essential oil to add to a recipe, can you help?
So pretty! Do you find the humidity here in Brisbane is one of the big reasons you blend the soap for such a short time? I know Katie blends for around 30 seconds and it’s quite hot in Texas
Thank you 🌱 There would be so many reasons why blending time is different. If I make a bigger batch, like a slab, I blend a little longer. Katie's batches are big so would need longer. Oils also behave and trace differently. The Shea butter in my recipe traces quicker so less stick blending is needed. If I don't add shea, I blend longer. And yes, i have found humidity plays a big part. In winter, I can soap at any time of day but in Summer, I have to make them before 6:30am or after 8:30pm or they set up quick.
Beautiful soap! I'm still learning, and I didn't know that you could mix your EO with kaolin clay and let it sit for awhile. I'd heard that kaolin helps retain EO scent, but didn't know to actually mix the two! Thanks for that info, do you do that with all your EO batches?
Thank you 🌱 luckily it's only for a couple of months and cleara up not long after getting home. I always forget to take antihistamines until too late 😆
What kind of plant is it that makes you sneeze? I don’t recognize the word you are saying. My ears and brain don’t hear so well anymore🤷♀️ LOL. The soap is sooo pretty.
@@clayjunctionwithkids3274 I set the soapcalc to 5% so a blend of my oils make up the superfat. If you want a specific oil as the superfat set the calculator to 0% and then chose any of the oils to supefat with by adding the extra 5%

Hello, I'm in Melbourne and would've to try to recreate this soap as I love this scent idea. I'm new to all this and don't know how much essential oil to add to a recipe, can you help?
The best place to start is on eocalc.com as this will tell you usage rates
So pretty! Do you find the humidity here in Brisbane is one of the big reasons you blend the soap for such a short time? I know Katie blends for around 30 seconds and it’s quite hot in Texas

Hi Keely I've wanted to do a eucalyptus soap essential oil but I don't know how much to use
I used Eocalc.com to double check the usage amount 🌱 it will give you varying amounts depending on how strong you want it
I know this is old but one question. How much essential oils did you use in this project?
I used the essential oil calculator which told me how much I could safely add
Beautiful soap! I'm still learning, and I didn't know that you could mix your EO with kaolin clay and let it sit for awhile. I'd heard that kaolin helps retain EO scent, but didn't know to actually mix the two! Thanks for that info, do you do that with all your EO batches?
Thank you 🌱 I've only just started doing it after advice from another viewer. It really anchors the EO into the soap
Do you use 5 % essential oils? Or less. Thank you
I always check the usage rates of the oils to determine how much can be safely used. Not all blends are safe at 5%
Hi Keeley, What a beautiful soap. You always make a nice soap. Can I ask, how many ounces does your mold hold?
Thank you 🌱 my moulds are 2.5kg which is about 88 ounces
Very nice 😊
Sounds like you need some antihistamines so you can continue your walks
Thank you 🌱 luckily it's only for a couple of months and cleara up not long after getting home. I always forget to take antihistamines until too late 😆
I have to take antihistamines every single day....apparently I’m allergic to dust
@@susanmoyle8143 that must be a nightmare 😔
It is, there are tissue boxes all around my house, in my car and pack in my handbag...gotta be prepared, then springtime? I just grab a toilet roll
What kind of plant is it that makes you sneeze? I don’t recognize the word you are saying. My ears and brain don’t hear so well anymore🤷♀️ LOL. The soap is sooo pretty.
The ones that make me sneeze the most are Wattles. They usually have yellow fluffy flowers that look like little pom poms
I wonder if they are what we call “ragweed?” Your Australian name sounds nicer🥰
@@daydreambeliever6603 I just googled Ragweed and they are different 😁 wattles are big trees
Wat is 5 % superfat
Yes I generally always use a 5% SF
Which oil should we use for superfatting

That does look like a hanger swirl
I was very surprised at how it come out
