Mate I have been waiting for you to demo this so good! Kemper really need to get you to demo everything, so good thank you 👏🏻
Kudos, you're a great Kemper's salesman, you deserve a bonus from them!
Thanks! I just updated to the Beta and loaded. It sounds amazing with my PRS Hollowbody. Great tip that the neck pickup works the best.
I'm a Kemper newbie and this is really helpful and informative. Thank you.
I loved the acoustic sound u created. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ok I want the Kemper now
Thanks so much, HW!
Dear HW, your vid convinced me to try the Kemper acoustic pre out - very thankful greetings from Germany , jo xxx
Well done video and that sounds pretty darn good! 😎👍
Incredible !!!! Very impressive!
Thx HW, great great work !
Def the best acoustic sim I have ever heard
Unreal, great playing. Can't wait till this comes out of beta
OK.....Great Demo as ALWAYS!! As a FOH guy.....man...this would TOTALLY work. What about no longer worrying about feedback from an Acoustic on stage! KILLER!!! THANKS HW!!!
Really nicely done demo and explanation. I've been struggling to get good Kemper AS sound on my PRS. I'll try some of your advice for sure! At the start of your video you mention putting a compressor BOTH pre-and post, but in the video you only do the pre, no mention of the post. Is it exactly the same settings just in X or MOD slot? (Keep up the great work!)
Fun fact: part of why banana candy doesn't taste all that convincing is because it was meant to emulate the flavor of Gros Michel bananas (the most common variety by far before Panama Disease hit). We're all used to the Cavendish banana which apparently tastes somewhat different
Man that really does sound good. I just got my Kemper stage a week ago, and since I'm running through a guitar cab I'm still slowly tweaking a few patches but I really need to check those out!
I've been using my Epi EX84 mod'd with a Graphtech Ghostbridge into an acoustic amp for my acoustic sounds for rock/metal live play. Heck, I've used it for some 'acoustic' gigs with a singer buddy of mine (I get some weird looks and a lot of questions about it 😋). It sounds virtually indistinguishable from a piezzo-equipped acoustic guitar.
But that sim you're using, at least at UA-cam quality, sounds more like a mic'd acoustic 😁 I might be able to ditch the acoustic amp and A/B box set-up too now that I have the Kemper. What an exciting new piece of gear.
Just beginning to look at getting a kemper. Do you recommend that rig with the Kemper cabinet for small venue live playing? 🤔
Nice playing there :)
The Kemper is close to 10 years old now and it is still a great piece of technology. Look at all the gear that came out back then that isn't around anymore.
Very cool. How would you simulate a 12-string electric acoustic?
Holy shit! This is convincing! 👌
Contennt is good. Keeep UP with good wooork
Is there actually a way to use Kemper Profiler with acoustic guitar? If yes do you have any acoustic amps profiles?
Thanks HW, there are some Avalon preamp profiles that i use for my acoustic rig that are amazing , I wonder if you pair it with this if it would add body and warmth ?
Hello, thx you it's sound amazing ! but where can i find the preset "Acoustic sim" which is between the first comp and the eq ? Instead there is a wah phaser !!! thank you
I'm recording an "acoustic" album on Monday and was half considering using my Fishman Aura Spectrum, but now I'll be using my Kemper instead thanks to you mate. Damn, it's one fine tone you've dialed in there. Glad you uploaded!
I love this tone. I was trying to get the profile but I get an error when I go to the link in the description. Any suggestions to get this profile?
Would love to see you do this with the Goldie Strat!!!
Can you make it available for tonex pls
Videeo isss cool. Keeep UP with solid woork
This patch didn't at all sound acoustic like this thru my stereo tube power amp...HOWEVER, it is the baddest ass electric clean tone I now own. I've been wanting a transparent clean tone that will bring out the tone of my power amp when I run direct into it. THIS is the sound I'm looking for. Paste in a little Micro Pitch from the Jump patch and BOOM...killer cleans! The best I have!
If I play a guitar with single coils (for example a strat using neck pickup), how should I modify the parameters to make the profile sound right? Because you say it works with neck humbucker mostly. Thanks :) btw great job
I havent tried it, but my instinct says use 4th position (neck&middle pickup) and also try to turn down the tone a little bit.
Thats how i played acoustic elements of songs, before i got an proper acoustic, and for me this sounded the most alike
In today's episode, HW accidentally writes an Opeth ballad.
HW how do you use it with Kemper Kabinet? Which settings? Kone on/off? Monitor on/off? Speaker selection?
Is there a link to download your profile
I cannot locate the download for this acoustic simulator file. Could you please share it?
I googled and I cannot still find a download for this.
I even went to Kemper and looked through their downloads. Please help thank you.
Thank you very much for this excellent review. This amp is out of this world. The end of the search ... unfortunately but understandably not cheap. Amazing technology indeed. And it could improve even further ... The fact to be able to use the same guitar even for acoustic is too exciting. I do not like to switch guitars. At all.
Please try it with a solid body with a piezo pick-up. I would love to hear the difference with magnetic pick-ups. Kind regards, gino
I’ve done the test with acoustic amp profiles and channel strip/mic pre profiles including Neve. It sounds awful. There is massive additional noise especially. i raised this with CK and he confirmed the AS is definitely not intended to be used with anything active in the Amp/Cab section.
I also suggested a built in Compressor and we had a discussion about why Kemper don’t include a compressor (like having amp compression in the amp block). CK argued that it isn’t needed because an electric guitar doesn’t have anything like the dynamic range of an acoustic or electric with under-saddle piezo. I did quite a bit of A/B testing with the AS and PRS22 piezo and eventually had to conclude he was right.
@@jtn191 I know, but the point I was trying to make is that, if you don't use the amp block (as CK recommends), then all of the parameters in it aren't available anyway.
Hey i'm using a LP Std from 1996 with i guess 490R/498T-HB buld in ... now i have some Problems with this AC Sim ... i dont know why but i have some unpleasant crackling while playing with normal attack and picking ... i tried to change clean sense an some EQ adjust settings but fail , hm ... maybe i made some wrong issues on the stage ? ... can you help my ?
The link is not working😢
Wow 😮
Oi tone junkie tv muito legal gosto muito de Céu vídeo 👍
It sounds like an acoustic DI, there is NO body. I think there needs to be an IR made of a guitar body. I'm going to do it myself and see if I can dial that in.
i downloaded this patch.i am using my kpa through my line 6 dt 25 fx return.the patch sounds much more different than that you play.i could not understand the reason...
gürhan Bilek what guitar are you using? Pickups make a huge different with this
WOW!!!
I think this is more correctly labeled as a "piezo simulator" instead of an "acoustic" one. Not a sound I prefer, but nice to have the option
Its a great addition, although I experienced some weird crackling in some higher frequencies when using a capo so couldn't replace my acoustic for that gig. With some finetuning it will be perfect though
this video made me pick up my guitar after 7 months
Impresionante! Buen trabajo.
Sounds like they emulated the nasty piezo sound which is the worst. That is not what an actual acoustic guitar sounds like. It's better than nothing though and better than having to bring another pedal or an acoustic guitar to an electric gig where you need that acoustic sound for a couple of songs.
I'm so glad this thing is finally here!
Tried everything to do this live and now I finally have a good solution:

No one really needs an acoustic in the mix. An acoustic is just for looks! Especially in P&W. Haha but it sounds great!
Still doesn’t sound real. Shame
Actually sounds good enough to fit into a dense mix and be convincing as a real acoustic guitar. We'll definitely be using this once it's out of beta!
