I'm glad they kept the undertail exhaust. I wish they made it a single sided swingarm too, but all in all, im glad that this bike got an update.
Euro bike only lmao
whats the reason for undertail exhausts? (except for aesthetic reasons).
@@IversonGR warm your butt during winter
@@IversonGRwind/ air pressure helps with the exhaust function & the exhaust creates less wind drag, more aerodynamic
Prob would've made it even heavier. But yeah, at least it'd be down-low weight and it would've looked sick.
Was eagerly waiting for this video. Now it’s not only Kawasaki keeping the 600 alive
Suzuki??
@@RomVladSuzuki only sells the 600 & 750s in select regions..
@@saifaldin_ they sell them in the US.
@@monkmoto1887 Yes.. that’s why I wrote ‘select regions’. A lot of countries don’t get them anymore. In my country we only get the gsx-r 1000 (well, how much of those left, anyway)
Literally only Yamaha stopped making the 600 what are you talking about.
I would scoop one of these up in a heartbeat. I love my 2007, but these look phenomenal
Ordered mine yesterday, can't wait for new season
@@zggggg.How much money is ?
@@antoniycholakov6443 13990€
@@zggggg. yeah where you from and how much is it?
@@tbn.z900 Lithuania. 13990€
They gave me little discount, so I will pay 13700€
I appreciate your 600 videos. I have been following you since I got my 08 CBR in around 2015. I knew I got the right bike after I watched your videos.
Any Japanese 600 is right bike, you can't go wrong with any of them.
If they sell it here in the United States, I will buy it.
Hi Hero, one major point if it does make it to the States is the price. This bike has been on sale in Australia since release. However, at the asking price it simply doesn’t sell. My rough calculation to USD will see it at approximately $20,000 before taxes and other associated costs. It’s a massive price differential to the previous model and for that amount my money goes elsewhere. Even after owning a couple of these over the years. Where team green have been able to still remain price competitive.
I was going to talk about price but I just couldn't find anything reliable... I tried doing a conversion like you did and found a ridiculous price of around 18-20k which I just cannot see them asking that much for this bike. It's a really cool bike but I just couldn't see spending over $14k for it and even at that price its fairly high. We will have to wait and see though.
@@HeroRR it will be interesting to see the US price. The sea freight increase compared to shipping to Australia is more expensive though.
Yeah I neverstood how this is worth 30k aud. For that price you could get a previous 1000cc SP version which comes better kitted I'd say. Even team greens 600 is under 20k aud and has more power.
@@scottyang9016 Absolutely 💯
@@HeroRRI have ordered this bike last week, price 13990€ (~15250$)
LOVE the look of tail exhausts
I agree FULLY with You on the new one! A.) WHY NOT have a fuel-gauge on this!?!?! and B.) THEY SHOULD'VE put the turn-signals for this new one, back on the Mirrors!!! Where they are now,was just NOT THINKING AT ALL! Also,I'm not liking the "specs" on this new one,as You already said, your 2008 already makes more power than the new one,and weighs LESS!?!!? C'MON Honda! I'm SURE I could very easily go out and pick up a slightly USED ZX-6 Kawi and be just as impressed!
It’s worth mentioning that winglets have more to do with speed than power. This bike is capable of 160mph and winglets will definitely provide some downforce. Disappointed they removed the fuel gauge though.
im sure you can/will get a fuel readout of the tft
I would think so too, but the poster said no fuel gauge @@seneormoneybags
@@halcyon1017 yeah let's hope the TFT got it somwhere. honestly if they don't want fuel gagues why not just make fuel lights. like have green light for full/allot of fuel yellow for half tank and then red for low fuel and flashing red for fuel reserve. they could even split up the colours like dark green then light green then dark yellow then light yellow and then red and flashing red for reserve. that would just be 1 little light on the TFT
Winglets on any streetbike is a joke but posers and kids think it's super cool lmao
Yeah, that should be the bare minimum on a 2024 bike@@savagememes873
I have an 09 600RR, love the looks of the new one but will probably will pass on it if it does come to the US. Too many electronics, and the loss of the fuel gauge (especially in a completely electronic dash) is a big head scratcher. Would rather have fuel gauge than gear indicator for street riding.
Fairly nice looking bike, but that front indicator placement is weird..😅 The main selling point of the cbr600 has always been superb handling and balance, and if those are retained, this will be a very nice bike to own. Alas, the dealership in my country decided to price this bike (well, the previous 2,3 iterations) very close to the litre bikes. 🤷♂️
I have been riding RC51s for almost 20 years. Not once I have missed the fuel gauge.
like you i'll not be swapping my 2008 cbr600rr for this but it is a huge step forward on the current model and it's great to see Honda continuing to evolve the bike when other manufacturers are pulling out of the 600 class. i do really like the new bike, even the winglets but can't see the sense in removing the fuel gauge, where was the thinking on that one lol
It's the same bike since 2007 with upgraded looks. They did it once in 2013 (a decade ago) and now second refresh. It doesn't make sense at all to "upgrade" for the same bike unless yours is trashed and you want the same bike because you love it that much.
Thanks for the video, always informative.
What company did you use for the turn signals integrated mirrors on your bike?
Thanks
I love it!
Thank you Honda for not giving up on us guys who love to carve canyon roads.!!
In Australia the 600RR is a whopping $27,000 (AUD) while the 636R is only $17,000 (AUD). However I f you bought a low mileage 07-08 Honda 600RR (Currently $7,000) and spent some money on it, you’d arguably have a better bike.
This. Id love a CBR but went with. 2024 zx6r.
Honda in Australia have completely lost the plot. Made worse in that we only receive the neutered learner version of the 650R. Let's hope they find some sense for next year but to be honest I am not all that hopeful.
I have a 05 with some money put into it, absolutely love it.
I'd rather get an MT-09SP and spend money to make it into a naked race bike. Or wait for the R9.
Wow I was planning to buy a used r6, but honda really step up their game with this one!
As you stated. Remove the multi catalytic converter stock system and lose 30 pounds. Then full inconel exhaust system with tune and you are at 130-135 rear wheel. Honda left a ton of HP on the table for tuners.
Love to see the beauty in INDIA 😍
Hi heroRR , I saw a lot of ugly bikes at this year Eicma, regarding headlights and front aesthetic, but this was absolutely an exception, in the top 5
I hope this upcoming version stays true to the 2nd and 3rd generation's strengths of a flawlessly supple chassis, near-perfect suspension dynamics mixed in with a powerful but not overly aggressive power delivery. It's what made the CBR600RR's limits so easily approachable for so long. I guess only time will tell.
best case if it doesn't come to the US... you can always order the bodywork from Europe and it will fit.. I did that last year with my 09.
I'm super hyped about the new CBR600RR. Too bad the times are hard. Had this been released in 2021 or 2022, i belive it would have sold out Quick. But right now, people are selling of everything they can to keep their house. If i had the cash, i'd windmill slam it down and order one instantly.
I only wish Honda would say what is the reason for the exclusion of the fuel quantity indicator. I was under the impression that present day integration would make that an easy to incorporate feature. Great video!!!
God I love the looks of this bike. The exhaust location is top drawer. The original was way ahead of it's time looks wise. This version now matches for me. Superb
I just sold my very first bike which was a z750 abs from 2012. after riding nakeds for so long I almost wanted to go the for something more subtle but I am now set on learning the ways of supersports. I really hoped yamaha would release the r9 this year.... Was supprised to see the zx6r and the cbr 600 rr getting released in europe again. I must say the cbr600rr in black is stunning. First choice on my list!
I just really hope it comes out in the US 🤞
It's not
For now@@williamdavis4809
God the color on the 08 is beautiful.
And honestly i think winglets look sick.
no mention of the factory quickshifter? Would love to see an SP version with electronic suspension brembo brakes etc..
This new model has been available in Australia for a couple of years. Problem is it's priced the same as the R1 and ZX-10R. Sheesh!
Is this model the same as the Aussie version or will it be cheaper?
@@sputnik5991 It's the same as the Aussie version which has been on sale since 21. As is the norm, prices are cheaper overseas. It would need to be. Who would pay 12k more than the ZX-6R?
Guess where that cost is going? Emissions bureaucrats. When you buy one of these, a big chunk of that money is going to the Euro5 taxation bureaucrats. And you get less performance and more weight.
Yay.
never been a real Honda guy but I started riding in 93 when the F2 was the hot 600cc and all the young guys talk about the hurricane aka the F1 600 Honda has really had great 600cc bikes
With a new ZX6R 636 from Kawasaki, a new CBR600RR and a new Daytona 660 spied out the 600cc sportbike middleweight market is looking bright again.
great video thanks, as its is an RR for the road... I wish they would add a firmware update to the TFT firmware that adds a fuel indicator, even if there isn't a fuel sensor in the tank im sure they could make a light go on as soon as its hits a certain mileage per trip based on the engines average MPG values. like when its close to 2liters left, fuel light on... I love it but damn... fuel gauge like on the kawasaki wouldve been great.
Very tempted to get one of these. They're incredibly well priced.
I'm very excited, and it's on top of my list. It could even be a second bike. Thanks for the video.
The engine break tuner is awesome! But they need to have a Fuel capacity on the display.
We are here for Honda. I own two different CBRs and I love them to bits. I love the colour scheme of these Hondas. It’s exceptional
🤔 wait did you say no fuel gauge with this display ? Makes no sense to have setting options for this and that but no info on fuel.
I really do hope that Honda releases this CBR600RR to the U.S as Kawasaki seems to be the only Japanese manufacturer still bringing something new to the market for the 600cc class. I mean it is Euro 5 compliant which is a good sign. I really believe that many people here in the states would buy this bike immediately when it hits the showroom floor !! It's a stunning looking bike that keeps the classic under-tail exhaust but has the modern electronic features and rider-assists. We DESPERATELY need a competitor to the ZX-6R, so I hope Honda listens and brings this to the U.S.
Price will be higher than zx6r for sure (atleast $2.5-3k)
Honda is very disillusioned with the US market. Americans don’t buy Honda sport bikes anymore. The Africa Twin was the last commercial success that they had here, with the bulk of their sales coming by commuter minded riders buying the 471cc platform. This info comes from a single dealership though, so your region may vary.
Well researched and presented..
As soon as I saw the reveal video for it at Ecima I knew it wad only a matter of time before we got this video.
I sold my 09, 13K miles, heavily modified when money got tight. Thanks sleepy Joe for that.
I plan on buying the new 600rr when they come out. Had to redo forks, brakes, fluids, radiator, fuel pump, deal w a rusty tank, new cables etc. Lots of upkeep I’d rather skip on this next one.
Feature I’d like to see, US availability lol
I plan on buy then rebuying later if they add cruise control and a fuel gauge, they could've just made that stupid side stand sign as a light like on an aprilia rs660 and had room on aft for fuel gauge but its honda so there's always a dumb decision with them. I do dig that 6 axis imu though gotta give them props for that and the heated grips option.
Truly, a weird time to get into motorcycling for me. So many new and weird beginner bikes. 2 new 600s getting refreshes in NA
I was gonna pull the trigger on the 24 ZX6R but I guess I’ll wait for the 24 CBR600 and then make my decision.
Looks incredible! But no fuel indicator. Ouch.
Damn ok so I need a lowrider ST, speed triple RR, and this CBR600
Hopefully this bike will be on display at the NEC motorbike show.
I have a 2013 CBR600RR Repsol that I'll never sell, but if Honda of NA brings this to American shores, I'll be buying this updated model and retiring my 2013. I really hope they announce that I'll be coming here. I'll be among the first to buy it.
Removed the fuel indicator! I would not purchase any bike without one. Unless i was going to make it strictly a track bike.
man they need to make the wings the turn signals thats just a no brainer there
Track riders would take off the turn signals. Then they have no more wings.
Good stuff bro 😎
Keeping my 09 CBR 600RR. I don't need more fancy tech.
Like design 2024 bit 2007 - 2009 red - black is so perfection.
GIVE ME MY GOSH DARN FUEL GAUGE JAPAN... hahaha epic bike can confirm o7
does the undertail exhaust make a problem for luggage because of heat or something like that?
Looking at the power and torque figures it looks like Honda gained a bit more up top at the cost of midrange as peak torque comes on really high. I hope I´m wrong but it looks like it might be peaky a la R6 when the CBR was always known to be a torquey 600. The looks are killer, love this new aesthetic.
They ditch the fuel gauge why ZX6R bringing back onto the new one. It's a deal breaker for me.
Then again I usually hunt older bikes because it's better than the new ones
It doesn't have a trunk. Which sports bike does??
Love your videos and love the CBR600RR. I currently have the 2012 CBR 600RR and looking forward to purchasing a state of the art model. This new model looks fantastic and has everything I'm looking for in a new bike except a fuel gauge. However, I need both a gear indicator and a fuel gauge on the display so I will not be purchasing this model. I guess you don't need a fuel gauge on a race bike, but I'll be riding mine on the street and rarely on the track. Honda you have customers who love this bike but only ride it on the street - Fans of the CBR 600 RR and use it for no practical purposes except for pure fun and enjoyment with no desire to ever race it; so we need a fuel gauge as well. I would pay the 15,000.00 for this bike if it had a fuel gauge. Thanks HeroRR for the video. Cheers.
I currently have my beloved mostly original 73 cb500 four. Delkevic exhaust, jetted, valved, and tuned. Modern rubber, modern fork springs and ikon rear shocks, front brakes upgraded.. the rest of the bike is completely original and beautiful. It's the original middle weight super sport.
I'm looking for either a 600rr or an f4i. My unicorn is an RC51 or an unmolested 929.
I had a 73 500 with a 550 top end mikuni carbs kerker g F our into one…
For having some money into my 07 , and the body style of the 07, i still cant see a reason why i would ever get a different year 600. 07-08 is just far and away the best cbr 🤷🏿♂️
This is the only one I’d pick over the 08- ‘12
Why? It’s around 30lbs heavier.
@@EyeForKnowledge. I wear close to nothing myself I doubt that 30lbs would make a difference for me and I like how it looks? Like damn.
@@ExtremelyOnlineGuy Have you seen the 40th anniversary ninjas? 🤤🤤🤤. The throwback colorway is super sexxxy. And to each their own. But adding 30lbs seems silly.
@@EyeForKnowledge. I have! They do look amazing, I wish Honda would bring back the G4’s specifically for the retro vibes man. And tbh it really won’t affect me much. I’m on a bike, faster than most cars and it looks better than the current gen 600rr we have. Win win in my book
@@ExtremelyOnlineGuy What bike are you on now? I got the ‘18 CBR 600. I love the current gen of the CBR600. If for no other reason that they have none of these rider aides, ABS or anything else. It’s you and the bike. As it should be. And nothing to worry about with computers or sensors going bad which I’m certain will be expensive to fix.
Also, the CBR600 has that classic supersport look. Razor sharp lines and a mean/aggressive profile. All the other bikes just look too busy. Especially the R6/R1 and NInjas. Albeit the new ZX’s do look sick in that colorway!
The only feature they should add to the 2024 CBR is me 😂
Awesome bike
I miss my 06 cbr, loved that bike
Looks great, in fact my favorite in the looks department. However, if I were to buy a new 600, I’m going for the Kawasaki.
Sadly, we’ve already reached peak 600 a while ago, which saddens me. 600s are my favorite class of motorcycle. I have an ‘01 F4i which I just love. Still revs hard, and pulls like a train.
Yeah it's unfortunate but I agree with you that the class peaked years ago and now prices are climbing for marginally better bikes with regulated engines.
i think the 750s are where it's att. 600 are slightly to slow but liter bikes are to much. so my opinion is that the 750 that suzuki is making is kind of the middle ground and best of both worlds. i think the manufacturers should just abandon then 600cc class and move to making 700-750 proper sports bikes. if people want a 600 then they can just buy a used one which is better anyway. there ain't much i wouldn't do for a Bmw S750RR. i'm not gay but for one of those it's worth it to have to sitt on a doughnut for a month
@@savagememes873you're definitely gay lmao
@@savagememes873sounds gay to me
So essentially this 2024 model is the same as the 2022/2023 that’s already been released in Asia and Australia? It appears the only difference is the matte black tank and front section just above the headlights? I’m I right in making this assumption?
Quickshifter/blipper?
Yes
Glad honda is still making these
Got one on order
It's coming I heard from the dealership we're getting the 600 fireblade next year
The uptail exhaust adds top speed by as much as 8%.
Whats with big manufacturers not including fuel gauge in 2024 man
Honda needs to keep the fire blade but phase out the cbr1000rr and add a CBR V4
Beautiful bike but I want the fuel gauge back..I'll figure out what gear I'm in
I really appreciate the fuel gauge on my 08.
Drop the sillytown wings and this is very welcomed! Sportbikes are getting killed by the year. Very nice to see that the CBR600RR lives on!
buying it and importing it
ive just bought the cbr650r here in the UK as it was the closest thing to a cbr600 I could have got new, I know what I'm getting next.
Will buy for sure!
I wonder of its coming to the UK
If abs is included in new model weight specs, it's not heavier than 2007 model.
I’m highly considering putting $10K down on a 2025 CBR600RR since I already have a 2021 NC750X DCT & a 2016 BMW S1KRR.
I love the new update hopefully it will make its way to the US I would buy one
Greatest motorcycle ever created? You said Suzuki SV 650 wrong :D
I LOVE the 2007-08 600RR models, are the best, no doubt. But man, the 2024 model looks amazing too!
Red and black 10/10
My first bike was a 2003 cbr600rr in 2003.
I'd buy the R6 Race over this bike all day, even in the HRC race kit version. Its been getting loss after loss in racing, followed by several engine failures. Then you add the cbr1000rr sc77 electronics and its going to be a serious mess. I once loved honda, but after owning both platforms, the Yamaha is superior as a bike in every way.
Is this model coming to the US?
No.
Love having the fuel gauge on my cbr
Am i crazy for preferring the look of the OG 2003 CBR600RR? I might also be biased cause I own it but after the 2007 CBR model i've felt all the models that came after have had a somewhat meh aesthetics.
Yeah they look horrible compared to the 2007 version
If it doesn’t have a fuel gauge does it have a reserve switch?
In some photos you can see simple yellow gas light at the left side of the screen, also on the dash "low fuel" indicator.
Just bought one today!
are you from north America? ive heard they dont sell them here but its listed on the website which confuses me
@@whythatbro I am
Always wanted to have a CBR600RR. But after having a Daytona675, I would not buy another bike with under seat exhaust. And interestingly, this is the feature Honda refused to change for 20 years. I wish the next Gixxer will be a good looking bike.
Could you elaborate on the flaws of under seat exhaust? Thanks
sure. 1. Higher center of gravity. I've taken off similar undertails, they are HEAVY! I just don't want anything that heavy to be that high up. 2. They are hot, physically. especially in summer and in traffic. Not the exhaust itself, but the leader pipe going up next to your leg. You will feel it. 3. They are harder to keep clean. a normal plastic fender can be wiped clean, these with their heated surface reacting to whatever might be splashed onto them by the rear wheel will look nasty very fast, and permanently so. 4. If you want any after market, the options are usually more limited as they need to fit the form therefore model specific. 5. Aesthetics. personally I like pointy minimalist tails on sportbikes. These are just too big in volume for my taste.@@whatnever
@@motojc thanks very much for such an informative comment! I asked from the standpoint of insufficient experience - i really like these kinds of exhausts aesthetically, but dont have any experience with them.
Seems like the main problematic points are the first three, and especially the first one as it may affect the driving experience. In which situations does the weight at a high point plays a role? I guess that it may affect suspension travel while adding the throttle and braking and to a lesser degree in the corners? But is this something that really makes a difference if bike engineering is proper? And if u get intimate with the bike - as must be the case in order to really properly drive any bike - you learn to compensate for any kind of specific characteristic which i guess every model has independently of exhaust position.
If they put an IMU in there they better have space for a UR-me as well.
In Europe?
I'd buy used. It's just not worth it for a few extra electronics when your getting such similar if not better performance from an older model. My favorite bike I ever owned was an 07 600RR. ❤
The US will never get this.
Now has quick shifter ❤
Isn’t that the fuel gauge at the top of the screen?
I think that's gear switch indicator
So its still the only modern "600" with under 100rwhp? Booo. 118hp @ the crank is a tad low. Stoopid Euro5. But u gitta say that 2024 RR looks pretty damn nice. Its sharp. I like it. Prior to this 2024 model, the 636 was the best "600." Even though the TC is analog, its got great brakes and plenty of power (136hp @ the crank/114rwhp stock) along with the great Kawasaki ABS. Ive been waiting for an 6-Axis IMU and honestly i really thought it would have been the 636 to get it, because... Kawasaki. I bet the new ZX6R will come with a IMU in the near future now. Wish they would update it. Thanks to the Euro5 emissions, my 2014 636 packs more power & therefor is raising back up in value. Honda's are known for their smooth running reliable motors. I really enjoy being a Sales Manager at a Yamaha, Kawasaki and Honda dealership. Oh and I cannot co firm or deny, but your suspicions of the new baby blade coming to the States is well warranted
Was really expecting to hear that it was going to be released in the states 😔
I just bought a 2023 600RR because I panicked that we wont get another chance to buy in the states. Plus I had a gnarly crash on the track with my 05 600RR😂
Rumors have it, the new CBR600rr updates aren’t coming to USA ?
