sometimes you dip when birding

- In the birding community, to "dip" means to not find the bird you were looking for and hoping to see (as I recently learned on our Sax-Zim Bog birding trip).
Austin and I went birding on Easter morning. We didn't see the brown thrasher or the blue-headed vireo that we were hoping to find, but we did find plenty of other birds, including fox sparrows, horned grebes, bufflehead, and even a loon.
All bird pictures in the video are by @austinsbirding (on instagram). Enjoy!
Always especially love the birding vlogs! Maybe you guys can get us a snowy owl this winter. You do a great job on your videos.
We haven’t seen a snowy owl yet this year, so it would be great to see one before the year ends!
Always enjoy the birding with Austin adventures! I'm guessing the next video will be eclipse themed(??)
I wish! Had to work today, sadly, but I was able to pop outside for the moment of totality, and that video clip will be in my next race training vlog! It was an incredible sight to see 🌙✨☀️
Thanks for the outdoor video. We like how you're mixing it up with your run and other videos. I wish y'all were here to tell me what's nested under my porch!
I think the outdoors will always be what I come back to, but it’s been fun capturing other memories!
I have a nest under my porch in Georgia...I think it is a swallow but can't be sure. The one clear photo I have isn't helping me. I need Austin!
@@darrellsheffield8283 He recommends trying the app, Merlin!
IDK if you have ever seen Survivorman but, I like the shots of you walking back to get the camera, they have the same vibes
I haven’t seen it! It’s fun to incorporate a bit of the “filming” process into the video itself
Rice gang gang, what’s cookin
