      @@hudson8865 glad it may have helped. With us growing a lot of low quality bio mass on the Gulf Coast I feel like mowing is an important tool/option..

      You left the brush for quail and birds yet you mowed that so they have no cover to survive. 4 worst things for grass land birds is a brush hog no brushy fence lines and chemical fertilizer. All turkey and quail decline can be liked to those 3 things

      @@Andrew-sanders yup, agreed. What you’re not seeing in the video are the hedgerows that we leave standing on the inside perimeter of the paddocks.
      The other thing is that the quail can be found heavier in the areas about 2 weeks after mowing bc they have room to maneuver since we mowed the thicket of Winged Loosestrife, Vasey Grass, Goldenrod, etc that strangle out the low growing grasses. If we don’t have grass for the cattle no we loose money and can’t pay the bills. Our quail populations are so far responding well to our management..
