  • Taft was the hand-picked successor to the monolithic Teddy Roosevelt. What did he do in office? Besides being famous for being overweight, he was also the only president to become a Supreme Court Justice. What else did he do? What did he and Teddy eventually fight about? Let's take a look!

Though he was less INFLUENTIAL, Taft could be arguably proposed as a better President than Roosevelt from a policy standpoint. He was still progressive for the time in all the right areas, but also had a more respectful restraint toward using executive power than Roosevelt did. I think Taft is underrated as hell.

I find it fascinating that the first 2 mins of this less than impressive bio focuses on his weight, really? Taft may not have been one of the best Presidents but he was a great Supreme Court Justice, and lets face it Taft is much better than other Presidents that came after him.

William Howard Taft has weighed as many as 350 pounds in 1913. Thankfully, I have not yet lived up to his weight peak. I hope that doesn’t happen for me, because I’m like a little over 300 pounds and I want to lose weight because I’ve been eating lots of carbs in the recent years of my life and I’ve been resting too much. I gotta cut down on both of those and do more physical activity. In fact, I am 22 and it’s a perfect age for me to lose weight.

@@emilypurcell1085 He was a shit president similar in some respects to what Trump is today, although Trump isnt even worthy of carrying Taft's jock strap because at least Taft finished school and could read.
Taft killed progressivism and went after conservation, busting up what Roosevelt had put in to save our resources.
He could be considered the key to turning the Republican party into what it is today, and all the corruption that followed the conservative route that turned its back on the people it is suppose to serve.
