Isn’t kpop just regular pop but with a few korean words here and there? I hear more english than korean. They rap a lot of there’s a lot of electronic music in it but that’s about it. Kpop is mostly visuals, the audio is nothing unique, not enough to call it a style, a genre or whatever. That’s the reason behind its success though, it’s exotic and at the same time it’s the exact same stuff we listen to in the west so it didn’t scare people away by being too unique or experimental
@@legacymse7095 there is a spesific formula in kpop. intro, verse ,chorus, rap another optional verse, chorus, bridge and chorus with high notes. and they have a distinct sound that corporates multiple genre because it's produced by various of people, first handed by a foreign producer then handed over in korea. or those foreign producer goes to korea to produce in a certain agency. they are usually rich in progessions, in the percussions, the synths etc, in each part and little to no repetition. meanwhile most pops or jpop especially jpop because japan has tv ver or short ver, the full ver usually is just a repetition with a long ass interlude that most jpop songs has a 5 minute duration. meanwhile kpop usually has 3 to 4 mins duration. and kpop have distinct instruments too, but it changes with the trend. in jpop the staples are electric guitar, bass, drums, strings sometimes, or other orchestral instruments to contrast the band-ish sound. edit if you want anime ish kpop songs i recommend gfriend and dreamcatcher
