@@AmaraFaryal-ow5tt nothing new just prepare your topic and the 5 points. The examiner will ask you questions on two of your 5 points n 1 general question like means of transportation. Best of luck 🤞

Pearson’ test is different and I heard these tests can be v different depending which centre. Mine was nothung like that. Nothing to prepare in advance. They sit you at a pc and no paper, not any help, no repeating. It was 3 part test: 1. Listen with headphones about 30 sentences and repeat each after the speaker. 2. nd exercise is describe a picture in 10 seconds, whatever you see on it, some 10 photos or so, 3. Listen a story and answer 3 questions, about 5-6 stories. You have no clue if you passed or did enough, no clear metrics, you get results in 2 days. Didnt like this test, my english is above b1 but i was unsure whether or not i passed, annoying. I heard there are easier tests and this trinity college test sounds easier
Hi there, sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. I think you booked the wrong Test, or may be someone else booked for you. As you are aware of the fact that, there are different Visa categories having different English language requirements.

@@ghalibsenglishschool thanks, i passed it, so no further help needed, but it was a correct test, for nationality, basically on their website you click on nationality b1 test and that was it. I got my nationality btw :)
What is written on their web: PTE Home b1- a computer based test that measures English speaking and listening skills for UK life. It s accepted by the UK Home office for applications for citizenship and settlement (indefinite leave to remain).”- so that s the one I passed.

It seems there is an option to have this test dome on a computer or as a fact to face 'interview' Surely the facade to face option is easier ?

You have to attend the Trinity SELT Centre, where your exam is conducted by a Video call. Examiner would have a Topic discussion followed by a conversation. And like you said its very easy. Good Luck😊👍!!!
Do we have a listening test as well other than that? Like any English tape given to us to listen and then asking questions related to that afterwards?

I think the best would be to get advice from school. In home schooling you have to arrang with private tutors & will appear as private candidate in exam. You will have to do registration with Awarding Body (Exam Board).

if you’re applying for citizenship or to settle in the UK (known as ‘indefinite leave to remain’).
You can prove it by having either:
An English qualification at B1, B2, C1 or C2 level
A degree taught or researched in English

It doesn't work like that, there is no percentage criteria, however in this particular language test, your overall conversation skills are assessed based on your correct language use(Fluency and Coherence; Lexical Resource; Grammatical Range and Accuracy; and Pronunciation). No, thats not ok, its exam requirement, that all the candidates should have their topic form with them. If you know your topic very well still, download the Topic form, fill it & take it with you, you will be asked for your ID & Topic form at the exam centre. Good Luck😊👍!!!

Hi Anmol, you need to Pass both: Life in the UK Test & B1 Test for ILR or Citizenship, however, I would suggest try to clear Life in the UK Test first & then B1, as B1 is valid for 2 years.

Don't be Scared, Be Confident & be yourself.
Examiner will have a normal talk with you via a video call link on a tablet.
Part 1
He/She will discuss your topic so take it easy, and have a good discussion, but don't forget to ask examiner some questions.
Part 2 is Conversation phase

any topic from a choice of 6 topics

Some people says my family topic is not accepted in the b1 exam it’s tru or false?
