A great discovery ...congratulations sir this is the biggest contribution to biofloc . I am suraj,21 years old 12th dropout and directly into biofloc ,trainee of mr. Purshottam Kumar Sir batch 13 of april 7 2019 ,I have been doing since last year first batch 4800 mortality out of 5200 fishes and second batch 200 mortality out of 5000 yet this batch has been successful and now the size is 250 gms I will definitely implement this technique in next 12 tanks. This innovative way of yours will definitely help all to achieve higher biomass in the tanks. Increasing biomass always posed an challenge in biofloc. This may make things easier for all to control excess biofloc not only during initial days but also tackle burgeoning biomass during the later days. first of all big congrats for this great innovation. for my better understanding i would like to ask, if this technique can clear waste food and extra flock then will it be left any sludge left to remove? or do we need any extra method to remove sludge/waste jelly like thing from fish body/ smells bad THICK water? how often we should do it?
Whatever comes out from your drain normally without using airlift can be lifted higher using air lift on your drain pipe
I wonder if when dried the sludge would be good as a supplement in dog food?

What is the performance of your invention can we increase fish 🐟 in tank based on this technique.
Water can't be crystal clear since the fish would keep adding to the waste so we need RAS or biofloc technique to control ammonia.

The performance is excellent . once you understand Biofloc concept like they do in other countries and some places in India too Biofloc is any day better . If you Invent a better and cheaper technique in harvesting Biofloc's I would be very happy if you don't keep it to your selfless and share it with all .

I am really very sorry to inform you that this technique was already developed in 2010 by Prof. Rey. I have read his research document on this topic. It's main target is to control turbidity.
One more thing, drying process of floc is still complicated, due to easy degradable protein content of microbial communities.
An Australian conpany is making low cost protein by converting waste water nutrients to floc then harvest them.
One most important point, Filtration is not the best technique to harvest floc. Because most harvested items are uneaten feed, semidigested fed or undigested feed. You could get a very few quantity of microbial community by filtration. Better you study Reynold's number theory, as well as Stroke's Law to get proper information of floc harvesting technique.
Floc is aggregate of microbial community as well as algae, live and dead cells, detritus, uneaten feed and organic matters.
Also try to study floc formation mechanism, then you can easily understand that your technique is not proper.
Prof. Rey has developed proper technique to harvest floc. He is co-author of Prof. Yoram Avnimelech's book "BIOFLOC TECHNOLOGY- A PRACTICAL GUIDEBOOK.
My intention is not to hurt you, but to correct your technique. 🙏

How can the tiny pipe inserted on the big pipe makes water to flow up and back to the tank (the airlift technique)?
How was it installed?
The black air pipe is inserted right up to the bottom of drain pipe inside and with air pressure rebounding back up you are able to lift the water back into the tank

A good way to remove TSS but its reuse as feed is doubtful. It can be an excellent farm manure.
My friend don't doubt because this converting it to again to fish feed was recommended by Dr yoram himself and not by me.
Instead of making a settling tank I'd rather make this kind of technique

Shouldn't high pressure water hit the surface of the tank? Or instead did you just optimise by reducing the biomass, as you mentioned.
Is that filter just a cloth?
Besides additional aeration the air lift system should run continuously. The nylon Saree ( Filter ) is put only when biomass (TSS) is be removed
