Jordaline: "Katie, if you're watching this-"
Katie: "I know you didn't just insinuate that I don't watch every single thing you ever post. I love you. You are my reality tv. You are my Real Housewives. My attention is WRAPT"
I am so down. That sounds like so much fun. We have a lil sprint for each volume? So CUTE!!! And then later do a Patreon buddy movie watch of the movie?????
I'm reading Chlorine by Jade Song for the nuerodivergent prompt. It's about a girl who believes she's turning into a mermaid and that turns into body horror
I feel the exact same way about men writing extreme horror lmao 😅😭 I can’t read it anymore, I’m done
The minute you said he was f*ing a pig, all I could think of was “squeal like a piggggg”
You’ll either understand that reference or you won’t but I’m hella laughing.
You can totally tell when a man writes extreme horror. I should've dnfed cows for the same reason because it was triggering.
How to get the readers attention... have him "f*** a pig" no sir, no thank you 😅. Thanks for the video and new books to read info! I laughed out loud at showing people your Uterus comment 😂, you crack me up! And Happy early Halloween from the Mistress of Horror 😈🖤🖤
omg ur little vampire mug is the cutest thing i've ever seeeeeeen
"did you see i just tapped my boob" i can't with youuuuuuuu😂😂😂
You should write that book!! I think good readers make good writers. I can only imagine how great your books would be😊
I actually loved They All Died Screaming. Dont get me wrong, it was disgusting in so many ways but I'm so glad I read it. Surprisingly, to me anyway, there were multiple scenes where it seemed Kristopher Triana was actually being quite female positive. For example a man called a woman a slut. The other man basically said "if she's a slut, so am I. Why is it ok for me but not her?" I had been wanting to read Reception for a while but maybe ill skip it. I love your cozy apartment 🙂.
IM BINGING YOUR VIDEOS QUEEN ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ love the vlogs and cooking portions 🥰🥰🥰🥰🔥🔥🔥🔥
Was great catching up on the Jordaline videos I had to watch!
You’ve got me interested in picking up both The September House and Reception.
I understand what you mean about extreme horror. I'm interested in the genre but I don't want to run into SA.
I love your cute decorations btw ❤ Bring on the spooky season!
I read First Day of Spring because Katie Colton sold me on it in a year end wrap up video a couple of years ago. It’s written by a child psychologist. I feel like it gives a balanced look at mental health and would fit the neurodivergent prompt. There’s horror but like real life shit you would find horrific mixed with the sad realities of life. Don’t take my word for it though! Ask Katie! It was a 5 star read.
Your Halloween decor is so cute. Loved the vlog!
Jordaline nailing those compliments😊😍
Really like your hair at the end 😍loving the Halloween decorations 😄🎃🎃x
I Was thinking "she needs to read reception" and you did. It's a great book pretty crazy. I also have the same thing I find it hard to listen to a audiobook if it's a male doing the storytelling.
Jordaline!! I'm hooked on Sasaki and Miyano anime. Finished it in 2 days and also watched the movie 😌 I wasn't a fan of the manga though.. weirdly I loved the anime more and I want more of them now.. I get it now😬
I live for Jordaline's motivational/praise spiels, makes me feel like I'm not a POS for a couple of seconds :D
Great vlog 📚☕🎃🍂🍁🥧🍎🍄👻🦇🔪🪦🕸️
Oh you so have to write that! I am so curious about that book now, surprisingly the ending of my cannibal book, The Hunger, also left me like uhhhh what?! I did find some new favs during the readathon, but Into the Drowning Deep with Our Wives Under the Sea, and Plain Bad Heroines was not like a smart choice 😅
You should do a collaboration with how too train your Gavin
So far I’ve read Black Sheep by Rachel Harrison (had fun), There’s No Way I’d Die First by Lisa Springer (hated it lol), and The Devil Takes You Home by Gabino Iglesias for the book you’re afraid to read prompt (liked it???). Currently reading Benny Rose, the Cannibal King by Hailey Piper, and then I’m gonna start Rouge by Mona Awad.
I’ve read Reception before and also loved it until the ending. It felt like the author didn’t know how to end it.
SPOILER
Basically it was all a hallucination by the mentally ill main character who really did eat her sister on her wedding day. It felt like that “it was all a dream” cop out and I hated it 😂
I. Love. Your. Channel!
Day 2 of requesting you do ASMR 😍😍😍
I dnfed they all died screaming too. I didn't like that book at all. I gave extreme horror a break and got into carlton mellick. The character development in the books I read by him were awesome. The cuddly holocaust was so good
I DNF'd "They All Died Screaming". It wasn't too disturbing for me it was just stupid. I didn't care about any of the characters, it was unnecessarily gross and I could tell I wasn't going to like it
This is completely random BUUT at 18:05, is that find your way back by Beyoncé playing on the background? It was driving me nuts trying to figure out why it sounded so familiar
Maybe Reception's groom inherits from his wife of 5 minutes? Just say evil clowns attacked?
I am not into extreme horror
I'm interested in extreme horror, but haven't been able to find anything that appeals to me yet.
I feel like a lot of male authors just use that subgenre as an outlet to project their own violent, misogynist, fascist, etc. views unfortunately. :(
Sea caumissar-the absence of pain. Really good
@@bayoumuddah thank you for the recc! i actually just added a different sea caumissar book to my list so I'll definitely be checking this one out!! ❤
I love books from a guy's POV more. And then I'm like I'm not a man but maybe I resonate with not feeling oppressed or some s*it I don't know I just feel that guy's POV is just the most general/unencumbered
