Not happy GE with the lack of some kind of instruction manual whether by booklet or UA-cam.

I have this microwave and love it!! But where can I buy more of the crispy trays? I’d like to have more than one. Looked on GE website but couldn’t find.

I've had this JES1109 in use since last March. I'm confused on using Metal pans & rack in the "Combo" mode, if it is using microwave energy (metal would be a no-no, yet manual implies to do so)
With the Air-Fry mode, the rack it is very close to the top to be turning objects is impossible without removing, also the plate & rack is very HOT at that point.. I even wait for it to cool afterward remove the plate. (Great Fish & chips though on AF5, I don't turn them) Turning or removing the hot tray/rack seems like an accident waiting to happen... too tight an area to be working with mitts.
Seems that much steam is generated in use in Microwave, never seen this on other microwaves, is this normal?
I've had the fan stay on after microwave use, never seen this on a microwave.
Grey on black contrast on keys makes them a bit hard to read.
Would like to know how to do a frozen bake to rise Pizza in this, but instructions not very clear.
Otherwise this unit seems fine, a bit smaller than what I had replaced. Although I'm not cooking for an army.
I am totally lost how to use it. this video shows the tall rack for air frying is put on glass plate for microwaving? wont that damage the glass plate. I want to do my own airy fry setting for example if i want to air fry at 400 degress for 15 minutes what is the sequence of events that go on. thanks

@@BlazeHN I sent them a message and they did respond to the email. Answers to my questions is yes it does rotate. No way to turn it off. and they do have a parts department that you could reorder the baskets and the pan (they are expensive to reorder) the small pan that came with the microwave 4 in 1 to buy as a part was $65.00.

As for the basket, we have a basket that we sell for our separate air fry units which is (WC28X20480) but we do not recommend using that for this particular unit. I just bought a ge 5 in 1 . Paid $235 for it and then I realize that I have to download and print a user manual. I will never consider buying ge product again.

new here. There is a short rack with plastic tips. Is this to be used in air fryer cooking or just something on counter top for hot pan?
The microwave does come with two wire oven racks that you can use to help air circulate around foods for even heat distribution. (These racks aren’t to be used for normal microwave cooking.) More information about the racks is available in the manual, linked here: spklr.io/6053WaEU .
My question is about the little plastic rips. should they be removed before using it for Air Fry.
The rubber tips can be left on the short rack when cooking. However, this rack is best used in combination and convection cooking. We recommend the taller rack for air fry.

We'll be happy to clear up any confusion. When pressing the "timer" button, it only sets an alarm clock. If you're trying to cook food then you'll select the cooking option you want. So for example "Convection", then you'll want to select the "Cook time" button, and enter the time you want, then press start to begin. You can find these instructions on page 10 of the manual.

To answer your second question, if you want to set a timer, just hit timer, enter 12, then hit timer again and it'll set for 12 minutes.

The panel is not lighted and I am old and have hard time reading. Anyway to turn on lights in panel?

Anyone know if you can use a different crisper pan? Replacement is $65 which is almost 1/2 the cost of the actual microwave
Hi - Thanks for asking such a great question. Any cookware used with Air Fry mode should be broil safe. A dark, solid baking pan with low rimmed sides, such as a sheet pan, is recommended for use with Air Fry. The darker pan absorbs more heat and promotes better browning and crisping. A baking basket or grid can be used as well. If you do use a basket or other frying type of vessel, make sure you put a broil-safe pan on the rack underneath it to catch any drippings. Is smoke supposed to come out

If you are lucky, the microwave itself will just burn up, then you can get a decent one that you can read, and know how to use. I hate this thing. waste of money.
I absolutely hate this apiance. I gave away a perfectly good microwave and toaster/convection oven.Wish I had kept them but wanted to have more space in my kitchen.

Extremely disappointed in this product. The control panel, which is not backlit, is printed in gray against black, making it very difficult to read during the day and impossible to read without a flashlight in the evening. The video is very deceptive in this regard. Plenty of other options out there, do not purchase this.

That's a very long time to be "sorry" and "understanding" without addressing the issue. While you're busy feeling sorry for us, take a look at the paltry downloadable manual for this machine. After reading it thoroughly I have no idea how to properly operate the microwave's functions. Incomplete instructions, no examples as to how to prepare a meal, no links to online demonstrations for use. I have a cheap crock pot purchased at a drug store that included all of those things, plus a recipe book. I have changed my plans for purchasing a new GE range as a result of this reply of yours. What happened to GE?
