This is another powerful video Yabba! A timely topic for the diaspora. Fear is what is keeping many of us in the diaspora. Crime is everywhere. Look at the knife crime epidemic in London and how we are sadly losing young men with bright future! Sometimes we are too hard on ourselves as Africans. We need to focus on our strengths, not on our weaknesses. We are more powerful than we portray. God bless Ghana and mother Africa as well as all brothers a d sisters in the diaspora!
I've recently found your channel, and am now watching back through old videos. Not sure if you'll see this comment, since it's an old video, but this is a VERY important topic, and I find that your commentary on other issues is also very thoughtful and excellent. I also did hear some people say, "This is Ghana" on my recent trip. One big problem for Ghana is the negative narrative that is driven by the news companies there. Compared to most parts of the world, Ghana is safer, including the US. The elderly normally fall victim to the narratives the fastest, in my experience, so we have to work extra hard with them. They watch too much news, and the news always focuses on the bad. As they say in the news business, "if it bleeds, it leads". We need news companies on board to help change the narrative.
Hi Browncoat, Yes we read all messages. Thank you for yours 😊 Absolutely, the News channels are filled with negative narratives. We can only hope that we have more of these honest conversations.
@@GhanaBound 💯% agree! I'm glad to have found your channel. I think your channel is one of the top few for real and relevant information for those considering moving. Keep up the great work!
Is Ghana safe? This question was not directly answered. Lots of defecting and examples are given. If a native of Ghana is saying, "This is Ghana" there is a reason. Everywhere there is the good, the bad, and the ugly. If there is crime, then there is crime. Everyone is vulnerable. Being safe has to be kept in perspective because at anytime, and anywhere one can become a victim.
Well said Yaba! This narrative needs to change. I can tell you countless stories of my safety and the safety of others being breached here in the UK. I’m glad you said it 👏🏾❤️❤️
Good topic. Yes I have heard some stories about home owners having to pop of their gun at night when they feel there may be an intruder. Are people allowed to own guns? Generally I have heard it is safe. Safe for women, men and kids.
Hi, yes, March is a good time to come to Ghana. Generally, prices for flights have come down by then and the party season is over. (although here in Ghana every weekend is rocking 😎) Ghana is a very safe country.
You couldn't have address this issue any better Yaba..👏👏🙏🇬🇭❤
