Phoenix are probably the hungriest team for the title these last 2 seasons. it eluded them last year. This year they keep on going full speed ahead. Godlen state found new inspiration this season also. Jokic has been playing the season of his life probably. Jazz , Mavs and Grizzlies also firing on all cylinders.
On the other hand we have the Lakers...

The play at 3:57 sums up the lakers. Zero effort, just happy to move up the court when a guy is open in the corner and Bradley makes about 10% effort to close out. I can stomach players who aren’t talented enough, there is NO EXCUSE for lack of effort.
Younger and quicker Suns outscore Lakers by 40 points in the paint. I was surprised LeBron gave up so early at 0:41 to rest instead of getting back on defense, leading to a 5 on 4 Suns advantage.
The best basketball players of all time, the GOAT if you will, makes their teammates better by example. Flopping, quitting in games and on teammates, standing around, pointing fingers . Is not leadership.

He'll drop 50 the next game and people will forget all about his non-committal on defense. That's been his thing for a while now.
This is what amazes me so much about LeBron and the media narrative. I watched NBA TV and in the highlights of the Lakers Suns game the commentator said "a rare turnover by LeBron" after he passed the ball to an op. LeBron is number 1 on the NBA all-time Turnovers list, and averages 3.5 TO for his career. The only other player in the TurnOver Top 10 who averages more is Russel Westbrook. LeBron is playing statsheet basketball. No defense, only some chase-down blocks for stats and the highlightreel and offense. You can't win with your leader showing no effort. But nonetheless all the time you hear on ESPN, etc. "LeBron is the only one trying ... No one plays hard except LeBron..." I'm balling myself and I watched some of their games and he wasn't showing effort in any of them. Teams are even going at LeBron knowing he is a liability on defense and he never closes out to the perimeter shooter even in clutch time. I really don't understand this. Does he own the media or what?

When they were manhandling the Lakers, who's the Center and who's the pointguard? We all know Westbrook is a lost cause but, who plays all those positions I mentioned?
LeBron... Looks good for his stats, but puts other ppl out of position and takes doesn't allow them to get a rhythm, so that's y his teammates throughout his entire career has been very inconsistent... It's his style of play and reluctance to allow for others to control the offense

I swear I keep saying this every game but I'm so impressed by this Suns team, everyone in that team has been playing well and knowing that this team is still winning games without CP3 (and previously without Booker) is scary. It seems like the only teams who've really tested the Suns this year is Bucks and Warriors. I'm excited to see this team in the playoffs, especially when CP3 returns.
