I'm really enjoying your reactions! One suggestion would be, at least with Dimash, to play the video until the end. You are missing out on a pivotal reason why Dears love him -- his personality, his humility, and his graciousness. The answer to this is integrity and seeing someone listening what is happening NOW ... NOT ignoring the now to go "can't wait for when he goes up.... Or he's going to do this or that in a minute" The piece of music IS as it is in that second.... Not what it will be. The same as Dimash is when he is singing. A standard keyboard represents 7 octaves. If, and I believe I have heard Dimash’s D8, that would be the next “D” note beyond the standard keyboard. Dimash is a true unicorn. His performance skills, vocal agility, stage presence, technique and showmanship are truly exceptional. He’s an all around star. Yes, much of what he does can be learned but I would suggest that very few people would be willing to commit to the intensive work and practice required to achieve it. Cap that off with strong anatomy and interest for someone to recognize the talent in themselves and then develop that gift. Exquisite. Great video sir.

Let me be absolutely honest, as a man, Dimash has put tears in my eyes and I am not ashamed in the slightest. I understand the manly thing but you know as men we have emotions too.
Dimash is a storyteller who uses his entire arsenal (technique, vocal range, body expression, style...) as a resource to involve the audience in the story he presents. When we pay attention to the lyrics, the story behind it, the feeling that it can wake up, then we understand that everything he does is not for personal exaltation, but to captivate and elevate what he is singing! When Dimash sings, it becomes the music itself!
I like very much your pretty genuine reactions. This is what we,all Dears, want from a newcomers. We all have been listening to him for a long long time and we will never have enough. At least Me. His voice and his music became my morning and evening mantra. I don’t believe that somebody like him will appear soon. Dimash is extremely versatile. Some of his sides that we already know are still ahead of you. He has songs that he composed himself. He's less likely to write texts himself. But he is mostly involved in creating the songs. This song is from the early days and a cover of a song by the band he performed with. He totally turned it into his song, which he mostly does when he covert songs. But now he makes his own songs much more often, often together with other composers. His goal is to kidnap people into better worlds and to make sure that they are fine. I think he's doing a great job.

For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

My entire musical education has come from watching vocal coaches react to Dimash! I love the way he shows emotion also. But some of his songs are so sad that I can't watch them as often as I want to! I believe the A5 business is just counting the octaves on the piano, so a C2 would be the 2nd C on the piano, so very very low while the C6 would be the sixth C and very very high. Someone who knows more can correct this for me and add to my musical education!

He attended The Singer in China in 2017 and he was the first foreign singer attending it. He came second only because of blatant favoritism and it was later explained they were not ready to give first spot to a foreign singer. The following year they changed the rules and started allowing foreign winners. Anyway, just for your info, Dimash stopped attending any competitions since 2019. I mean he is literally technically the best singer in the world and is ten times more talented and musically more knowledgeable than any judge, so it was a long overdue decision. Now he only acts as a jury member at competitions, not as a competitor. And since then he has been working on his career and working with great composers like Igor Krutoy who is a famous Russian composer who came out of retirement just to compose new music for Dimash (he composed Olimpico, Know, Stranger , I Miss You, Ave Maria all for Dimash). Dimash does write his own music but not usually the lyrics. Two great examples are Unforgettable Day which he wrote in his teens and more recently War and Peace. I’d love you to react to both please ♥️🇬🇧
Some trivia about this song: It was an original by the band A-Studio (the keyboard player and guitarist are members), also from Kazakhstan, and their now-deceased lead singer is one of DImash's idols - he listens to the singers solo work on his down time. I imagine performing this song was a great privilege for him.

Glad to welcome you as a new Dear. Yes, Dimash is the MASTER of portraying the meaning and emotion behind each song. He draws us in and touches our souls. "Sinful Passion" is one of my favorites, it's just gorgeous. Dimash does have a Master's Degree in music composition and has written a few songs, but this one was written by the group who's accompanying him in the video. They put out a completely different, pop-rock version many years ago. Dimash reworked it into this masterpiece. I have watched a few of your reaction videos, and have a bit of unsolicited advice. You said you were trying to hold back your emotions. I noticed that, but Dears are watching reaction videos because they want to see your full, honest emotional reaction to his performances. Trying to be stoic and holding back your emotion defeats the purpose. Take it from a female...we think the strongest, most attractive men are the ones who display their emotions openly and honestly. I absolutely agree. Why would we watch someone that just sits there and calmly says "oh yeah, he sounds nice". I cried when I heard it, but I can't get back that blown away feeling a second time myself on the same song..this is where you come in!!

One thing you might want to get into the habit of doing with Dimash videos and that is to play them to the very end. He oftentimes speaks afterwards, as he did with this one. His words show what kind of a person he is besides an unbelievable singer and shows so much why Dears are so crazy about him. His personality, his kindness, his generosity, his sweetness, his appreciative natures, etc., all contribute to the reason we all love him so much. Love your reaction, you explained what I and many others feel, I also never really understood range or musical notes or anything technical about singing. I am,. however, a lot better informed than I used to be, and that is due totally to the many, many Dears (Dimash's fans, of which I am one) who have a much greater knowledge and don't mind sharing that knowledge. Please don't feel that you have to "react" in any way, just let the beautiful music and vocals and emotions wash over you. Oh and by the way, you are not the only one that feels hypnotised by this wonder of a man, not only because of his perfect vocals, but also the emotions he uses his whole body and voice to convey those feelings to his audience. A2 is the second octave A note, a nice low baritone note, perhaps even more of a bass singer's note. D8 is slightly off the top of a standard 88 key piano - just one note above. Crazy high. Something like a runner up world's record for men and actually a world record for a male high note during a performance.

This performance was in 2018, at the New Wave singing contest hosted by Igor Krutoy. You can see Igor at the end of the performance, giving him a standing ovation. That was the beginning of their friendship and cooperation, and from that partnership came some wonderful songs yet for you to watch; “Olympico”, “Passione”, “Your Love”, all originals, and you have already seen Strangers and Ave Maria; then some covers by Dimash of many of Krutoy songs. Dimash has written a few songs that we know of; Qairan Elim”, “Unforgettable Day”, “War and Peace”; “My beauty”; he usually has a good idea of how he wants it to sound, and his best friend Erlan Bekchurin is his arranger and a genius in his own right. The Krutoy songs are arranged by Mr Krutoy, and usually Erlan has a say in it also. I would suggest that you listen to “Sinful Passion Moscow Fan Cam”. To me it is the best version, even better than this one you just listened to. No need to react, just enjoy!
Dimash have a degree in music composition. He composed a few songs and has an active involvement in arrangements of musical scores with the composers he works with. He also take a old song and it his own with new arrangements along with his friend and music arranger, Erlan Belchurin. To hear Dimash's C#8 to D8 whistle notes (one note OFF the piano), you might want to react to "Unforgettable Day" (Gakku version). Dimash came in 2nd in the "Singer 2017" competition, because the winner, Sandy Lam, was a Chinese gal with a 30-year+ career, and a huge following that got her a lot more votes. No real hanky-panky (I don't believe), just the fact that Dimash was a foreign invitee to the competition, and unknown in China.

Regarding the emcee saying that Dimash "won" at the Chinese competition, I've noticed that several countries on the opposite side of the planet from the U.S. often use such wording to mean winning a prize. Dimash won 2nd Place, so you could say he won, just not the top prize. But here in the U.S., saying someone "won" is usually understood to mean that person won the top prize/1st Place. Just a cultural misunderstanding, I assume. Can any Russian dears confirm if my assumption is correct, regarding Russian usage ? Great reaction, btw.
A2 to D8 means he covers the entire piano and then some! I have been following him for over 2 1/2 years,And heHas not penned any lyrics that I know of but he has composed several of the songs that he sings. You are correct he lost the first place in the Chinese contest called The Singer by a ridiculous 2,000ths of a point. But he was clearly the viewing audience and the actual audience’s favorite throughout the 14 week competition. He became a star overnight with his first performance on the first night of SOS And needed bodyguards the next day. However, he seems to be able to travel by himself at times without bodyguards i.e. arriving in Beijing China about a week ago. His interpreter showed up because his Chinese is not great. Again, he speaks fluent Kazakh, Russian and is very good at English now. Because his accent is so adorable, we English speakers call his English translations, Dinglish. I cannot think of a song that you will react to when you are not in shock and awe. Don’t worry about sticking to your list because you cannot go wrong with any song that you choose to react to. The dears will not lead you astray.

I think the Russians, being right next to China, have gotten used to calling them on their BS. So the Chinese "He won, but we can't admit it" stance is nullified by the Russians' "I'm tired of your garbage" stance. Dimash could care less. His career launched.

A standard keyboard represents 7 octaves. If, and I believe I have heard Dimash’s D8, that would be the next “D” note beyond the standard keyboard. Dimash is a true unicorn. His performance skills, vocal agility, stage presence, technique and showmanship are truly exceptional. He’s an all around star. Yes, much of what he does can be learned but I would suggest that very few people would be willing to commit to the intensive work and practice required to achieve it. Cap that off with strong anatomy and interest for someone to recognize the talent in themselves and then develop that gift. Exquisite. Great video sir.

Dimash is extremely versatile. Some of his sides that we already know are still ahead of you. He has songs that he composed himself. He's less likely to write texts himself. But he is mostly involved in creating the songs. This song is from the early days and a cover of a song by the band he performed with. He totally turned it into his song, which he mostly does when he covert songs. But now he makes his own songs much more often, often together with other composers.
His goal is to kidnap people into better worlds and to make sure that they are fine. I think he's doing a great job.

For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. My entire musical education has come from watching vocal coaches react to Dimash! I love the way he shows emotion also. But some of his songs are so sad that I can't watch them as often as I want to! I believe the A5 business is just counting the octaves on the piano, so a C2 would be the 2nd C on the piano, so very very low while the C6 would be the sixth C and very very high. Someone who knows more can correct this for me and add to my musical education!

He attended The Singer in China in 2017 and he was the first foreign singer attending it. He came second only because of blatant favoritism and it was later explained they were not ready to give first spot to a foreign singer. The following year they changed the rules and started allowing foreign winners. Anyway, just for your info, Dimash stopped attending any competitions since 2019. I mean he is literally technically the best singer in the world and is ten times more talented and musically more knowledgeable than any judge, so it was a long overdue decision. Now he only acts as a jury member at competitions, not as a competitor. And since then he has been working on his career and working with great composers like Igor Krutoy who is a famous Russian composer who came out of retirement just to compose new music for Dimash (he composed Olimpico, Know, Stranger , I Miss You, Ave Maria all for Dimash). Some trivia about this song: It was an original by the band A-Studio (the keyboard player and guitarist are members), also from Kazakhstan, and their now-deceased lead singer is one of DImash's idols - he listens to the singers solo work on his down time. Glad to welcome you as a new Dear. Yes, Dimash is the MASTER of portraying the meaning and emotion behind each song. He draws us in and touches our souls. "Sinful Passion" is one of my favorites, it's just gorgeous. Dimash does have a Master's Degree in music composition and has written a few songs, but this one was written by the group who's accompanying him in the video. They put out a completely different, pop-rock version many years ago. Dimash reworked it into this masterpiece.
I have watched a few of your reaction videos, and have a bit of unsolicited advice. You said you were trying to hold back your emotions. I noticed that, but Dears are watching reaction videos because they want to see your full, honest emotional reaction to his performances. Trying to be stoic and holding back your emotion defeats the purpose. Take it from a female...we think the strongest, most attractive men are the ones who display their emotions openly and honestly. I really enjoy your intelligent reactions! I like that you go back a few seconds when you pause as to keep the continuity of the previous note. One thing you might want to get into the habit of doing with Dimash videos and that is to play them to the very end. He oftentimes speaks afterwards, as he did with this one. His words show what kind of a person he is besides an unbelievable singer and shows so much why Dears are so crazy about him. Love your reaction, you explained what I and many others feel, I also never really understood range or musical notes or anything technical about singing. I am,. however, a lot better informed than I used to be, and that is due totally to the many, many Dears (Dimash's fans, of which I am one) who have a much greater knowledge and don't mind sharing that knowledge. Please don't feel that you have to "react" in any way, just let the beautiful music and vocals and emotions wash over you. Oh and by the way, you are not the only one that feels hypnotised by this wonder of a man, not only because of his perfect vocals, but also the emotions he uses his whole body and voice to convey those feelings to his audience. A2 is the second octave A note, a nice low baritone note, perhaps even more of a bass singer's note.
D8 is slightly off the top of a standard 88 key piano - just one note above. Crazy high. Something like a runner up world's record for men and actually a world record for a male high note during a performance.

This performance was in 2018, at the New Wave singing contest hosted by Igor Krutoy. You can see Igor at the end of the performance, giving him a standing ovation. That was the beginning of their friendship and cooperation, and from that partnership came some wonderful songs yet for you to watch; “Olympico”, “Passione”, “Your Love”, all originals, and you have already seen Strangers and Ave Maria; then some covers by Dimash of many of Krutoy songs.
Dimash has written a few songs that we know of; Qairan Elim”, “Unforgettable Day”, “War and Peace”; “My beauty”; he usually has a good idea of how he wants it to sound, and his best friend Erlan Bekchurin is his arranger and a genius in his own right. The Krutoy songs are arranged by Mr Krutoy, and usually Erlan has a say in it also.
I would suggest that you listen to “Sinful Passion Moscow Fan Cam”. To me it is the best version, even better than this one you just listened to. No need to react, just enjoy!
Dimash have a degree in music composition. He composed a few songs and has an active involvement in arrangements of musical scores with the composers he works with. He also take a old song and it his own with new arrangements along with his friend and music arranger, Erlan Belchurin. Some of Dimash composed songs -- Unforgettable Day, War and Peace, Give me your Love, Be with me, Regrets, My Star, and few other I don't remember, you can check his bibliography. 👍👍👍👍

To hear Dimash's C#8 to D8 whistle notes (one note OFF the piano), you might want to react to "Unforgettable Day" (Gakku version). Dimash came in 2nd in the "Singer 2017" competition, because the winner, Sandy Lam, was a Chinese gal with a 30-year+ career, and a huge following that got her a lot more votes. No real hanky-panky (I don't believe), just the fact that Dimash was a foreign invitee to the competition, and unknown in China.

Regarding the emcee saying that Dimash "won" at the Chinese competition, I've noticed that several countries on the opposite side of the planet from the U.S. often use such wording to mean winning a prize. Dimash won 2nd Place, so you could say he won, just not the top prize. But here in the U.S., saying someone "won" is usually understood to mean that person won the top prize/1st Place. Just a cultural misunderstanding, I assume. Can any Russian dears confirm if my assumption is correct, regarding Russian usage ? Great reaction, btw.
A2 to D8 means he covers the entire piano and then some! I have been following him for over 2 1/2 years,And heHas not penned any lyrics that I know of but he has composed several of the songs that he sings. You are correct he lost the first place in the Chinese contest called The Singer by a ridiculous 2,000ths of a point. But he was clearly the viewing audience and the actual audience’s favorite throughout the 14 week competition. He became a star overnight with his first performance on the first night of SOS And needed bodyguards the next day. However, he seems to be able to travel by himself at times without bodyguards i.e. arriving in Beijing China about a week ago. His interpreter showed up because his Chinese is not great. Again, he speaks fluent Kazakh, Russian and is very good at English now. Because his accent is so adorable, we English speakers call his English translations, Dinglish. I cannot think of a song that you will react to when you are not in shock and awe. Don’t worry about sticking to your list because you cannot go wrong with any song that you choose to react to. The dears will not lead you astray.

This song was actually really easy but then he rearranged it and made it incredibly complex. Thank goodness he did because the origional is quite boring.
