    Being a former MF mechanic, and Massey being the best you could buy back then, the Case IH, is by far the best there is simply due to design and efficiency. The NH is too complicated but seem to separate crops pretty good. AGCO needs more dealership networks. Deere is overrated. My pick is the CASEIH. You have a very nice machine there. Check out Welker farms. They just checked out a new 7250 automated in corn in Wisconsin. It was a beast!! Just my opinions and nothing personal against any brand. Lol

    Wow, the single point unloading auger you describe sounds almost identical to the style I have thought about in my mind. I never went as far as putting it on paper like you but have thought about it a lot. I will take it even a step further I had thought about possible making it where the unloading system could slide to the left or right of the bin to help reduce on length but kind of scrapped that idea in my head because of moving parts.

    I was kind of surprised when they swiched the side opening on the AFX 8010 combines back to the center ladder design. But from everything I had read everyone liked the center ladder like you. I been around the old 1440 and 1660 combines but its been years. You are right they where easier to service. The 5140,6140, and 7140 is suppose to be more like the old Axial Flow designs.

    Get rid of that rock trap you will be.much happier. Adjust the stripper plates on the top shaft and it will not be jumping the chain on the sprocket. We have customers that cut 2000'acres of rice with one machine and no feeder bearing issues. Been with case 18 years and only.changed a hand full of feeder bearings. We take care of over 100 combines.. Sprocket wear is a chain issue. Do not over adjust the chain and keep the stripper plates and polly skids proper... Most importantly get rid of the rock trap will be well worth your time. I have removed alot of them..

    I can remember reading about the bi-rotor as a young kid I think was in the Farm Journal. I have been seeing on the internet it was suppose to come up for auction. I have also thought about removing the steering wheel from a combine. Believe it or not though some people do not like a joystick type of steering. My dad does not like running my skidsteer because of that and refused to have a zero turn mower because of that. If I remember correctly the original bi-rotor was painted a white color and was in an IH axial flow combine. He then moved up to the two track design. It will be interesting how the new Fendt combine turns out. The guys that harvest our fields at one time had three 580R Lexion combines. The good point at that time they where made nothing could touch them as far as capacity but ended up switching back to Deeres because of way better resale and service. SInce then the Lexion dealer has growed a lot so service and resale Im sure has got better. Now running 3 S690's and one S680. I use to run an old Case crab Steer 2670 when I was younger. It sure was nice to climb up hills as you describe. One thing for sure its going to be interesting to see the future of how combines get bigger and change in styling.

    At was a very interesting review. Thanks for taking the time. Damn that's a nice look'n red rim deer in the back. I'm looking forward to hear what farming folks have to say about the Fendt 9T, Others than the price. Cheers

    The Versatile or Rostselmash combine has the rotating rotor cage like the birotor did. They're a little crudely built tho, looks like they are put together in a welding shop

      I looked at it at farm progress show... its probably not a bad combine - but your spot on - crudely built

    People need to give gleaner combines a better look. Lightest combine on the market, fewest moving parts, fewest amount of pulleys and belts, natural- flow rotor that produces some the best grain samples on the market. I saw one of your videos about the gleaner. Do not knock it until you try it. My family has been using gleaners ever since the 1970’s and still are today.

      I have looked them over... no thanks - absolutely no freaking way in hell would I consider one... every machine has pros and cons and every machine has some sort of engineering marvel .. but gleaner as whole, nope!

    What did you think of the john deere rotor and concave design

    • @Blackearthexcavationandtiling
      @Blackearthexcavationandtiling  3 роки тому

      John deere rotors and concave compared to the case suck .. case rotors do a much better job .. only way to get a JD to do as well is to put xpr concaves in them

      @@autocat9371 We went from Red Flag ship combine (8240)- to a late S680 deere ... the deer has some great features - however, the rotor / sieves on the deer lack in comparison to the CIH .... to do it all over - probably would have stayed red ... Im not happy with the rotor separation the deer does - its hard to set & doesn't have the capacity the CIH did .... Deere X9 machines are suppose to be better - so we shall see
