@@wiseguy308 Guns are precise tools. You can't dremel the barrel and cylindet inside because you may change all the notches and grooves, the bullet could hit the frame and blow up in your hand.

@@memesandpepe3796 Yeah, he could've got on his horse, rode all the way to the shop, bought a cleaning kit and just wipe the rust off. The gun would automatically get repaired instantly and ready to fire.
I doubt the barrel is salvageable any way. Considering the level of rust, pitting and that it still had a squib stuck in it I'd bet money that the barrel needs to be reamed out and completely re-lined along with all the chambers. It's utterly unsafe to fire even after this restoration otherwise. Oh and the head spacing and cylinder alignment are probably fucked too.
Hopefully, you intended this to be a non-firing restoration ONLY! With all that grinding, you've likely removed much of the rifling at each end of the barrel, along with the tight tolerances required for such a weapon to properly function in a safe manner (Actually, the rust probably did more to the tolerances than you did). Please, DO NOT try to fire this weapon, or any others you have restored in this manner! BTW, excellent looking grips!

You would basically come home with a new gun because you would have to replace all the parts.
It’s ruined now
@@2fast4ulsr ...may i ask .why would you say that?
Ye ole gunsmith
@@wiseguy308 Guns are precise tools. You can't dremel the barrel and cylindet inside because you may change all the notches and grooves, the bullet could hit the frame and blow up in your hand.

I found this restoration, VERY relaxing to watch. Thank you and great job!!
Woahh thats so antique it will be so awesome that you've restored this
Amazing work. Truly beautiful gun at the end of the restoration.
shooting weapon* not gun
If you look close enough when he pulls the trigger the cylinder does not turn with every trigger pull so there is still something mechanically broken maybe the arm that spins the cylinder. So it will not fire.
if you manualy load and spin it would it fire?
@@phoenixkotsapa2099 yes but I wouldn't recommend it the timing has to be precise otherwise it will fire but out of linear accordance with the forcing cone and could potentially blow up the revolver
Parabéns! Ficou zero km!! 👏👏👏
Ficou legal, não gosto d armas

I’m mostly amazed by how he was able to put it back together

Adora quando o UA-cam me recomenda coisas desse tipo.

A real fine job there. Congrats. Have you fired that beauty since posting it last year?
Very interesting restoration. Never seen that mechanism before. And the removal of rust was like magic! Very nice looking platina on it afterwards!
Spoke to soon! xD
Nice job restoring it it will look good on display but since you ground out the barrel and cylinder I wouldn't suggest trying to fire it and besides the cylinder didn't rotate but it will make great Wall art
besides the non rotating cylinder, if there is enough meat on the gun couldn't you bore and hone it out to a bigger caliber?
The gun was broken, but material removal due to polishing is complete non issue.
Strange that everything you restore is rusted exactly the same way, as though with a combination of vinegar, salt and hydrogen peroxide.
I agree with u...the rust doesn't even a little of the metal...
and how he doesnt restore, he removes said rust and modifies
Dude this is impressive, I wish I knew what you knew.
This is totally incredible! 100% pure art
Rusty train track : exists
This guy : that ought to be a thousand sword axe and knife worth of metal...
The revolver is a British Webley Mark 4.
I don't think I was the only one who clenched teeth when he passed the dremel inside the barrel and cylinder
He should've used an actual gun cleaning kit
@@memesandpepe3796 Yeah, he could've got on his horse, rode all the way to the shop, bought a cleaning kit and just wipe the rust off. The gun would automatically get repaired instantly and ready to fire.
I doubt the barrel is salvageable any way. Considering the level of rust, pitting and that it still had a squib stuck in it I'd bet money that the barrel needs to be reamed out and completely re-lined along with all the chambers. It's utterly unsafe to fire even after this restoration otherwise. Oh and the head spacing and cylinder alignment are probably fucked too.

This guy: why in the hell are there assault rifles and swords here?
Rusted iron chain:*exists*
This guy:damn who put such a nice katana in the middle of the road
2:27😲 its awesome man!!
Amazing but I was waiting that you are going to fire with this gun......
wow, the grips really sealed the deal. nice job!
Is there any safe way to restore a gun to working once it gets that rusted, or is it just a loss?
Patrick Lanclos shudup
No It would fire just fine. The fact a round was stuck anyway means it needed a good layer taken off. Fire all your guns. He only removes a layer thinner then a sheet of paper.
The boring inside the barrel would be just fine it is made deep into it anyway
@@Josh-kk8fd Exactly This gun fires a low pressure round (38 S&W) It would fire just fine.
Ahhhh yes! I’ve been looking for a “VINTAGE SHOOTING WEAPON” restoration vid for a while. MUCH better than the lame “gun” restorations
Ugggghhhh....those brass handles- yuk!
