GENIUS!!!!! I have a 94 year old grandma that is legally blind that I help out. I brought her a regular dry erase board and "LIST" her appointments due to not being able to find a big enough calendar in the stores. This will allow me to have both options. Thanks so much for this awesome idea.

I switched to using Wet Erase markers. You can find them at Target & on Amazon. They never smudge when kept dry & come right off with a wet paper towel no matter how long you leave it. I also use them on Tupperware. The ink washes right off in the dishwasher! I'm totally hooked!!! My one caveat is that if the container you write on sweats, the ink does run but that happened to me with the dry erase ones too. XD

Your timing is incredible. I just walked away from a $15 version of this today at Target, thinking to myself, surely I can make a better version for less. And boom, there you are. Thank you for the great ideas!

Pretty calendar! I love the size & colors! Helpful hint especially as the kids get older and have a lot of activities & appointments: Assign each person in the family a different color marker. They have them at $Tree!👍 As always great video & ideas!

I love your channel because when I need something and want to save money I can usually find it here. I almost bought a dry erase calendar for my fridge but none of them were exactly what I wanted. With this idea I can create exactly what I need. THANK YOU!

WAY cool idea! I found that a little hand sanitizer on a kleenex tissue removes the dry erase from my daughters, letter tracing books (glossy pages). I love the idea by making it BIG. These real cheap calendars never leave enough space (or enough for a family of 5)! :)

Hey Kathryn! I've been meaning to tell you and actually send you a picture BUT you can get those free marble samples from the mini kitchen displays at Lowe's or home depot and make cool labels with them. they already have a hole at the top so I was thinking of just sticking on a label and boom. they are sturdy and perfect. just a tip! I thought of you when I saw them.
    did this make sense? lol

I'd love it if at some point you make a type of cheapy chore chart, especially one that can be interchanged. My boyfriend's children live with us part time and I know my son is only 14 months old but soon enough he'll have itty bitty little things to do around the house to 'help out' too so I want to try and make a type of chore chart for these munchkins!

Fabulous! Thank you for that great tip. I always buy my glass front frames from the thrift store. AND you can get some great dry erase markers from the Dollar Tree.

I love making things out of poster frames!
You know those t-shirt graphic walls in walmart? I reset those for the company I work for, and instead of throwing away the old graphics, I saved ones with characters that my nephew liked, and used a poster frame to make a poster collage as a gift to him!

    Awesome Ideas as Always !!
I use dry-erase markers on the fridge, wipes clean off and stays current.
quick note : if you do get ink on something, like Sharpie on a table or counter top or wall,
Lysol disinfecting spray will dissolve the ink. usually in the first spray and wipe. if not, in 2 sprays it should clean up completely. I was completely amazed.

Two additional recommendations: Wet erase markers can be great if you struggle with things smearing easily, like when you go to write on another day. Fairly inexpensive ones can be found all over, but I found a nice set on Amazon. Also, if there are still issues with remaining marker residue, cheap dollar store rubbing alcohol works great. =) Thanks for sharing, I've been wanting to see this pinterest idea brought to life. =) Hope you and your family are doing very well.

So that's a good excuse to just take whatever? They are complimentary for people who plan to buy paint... if you are just taking them to make a project like this with no plans to make a purchase, it's stealing.

Amanda Reed Do you eat free samples with no intention of buying the product? How is it stealing if it's free. There is no price, its free I'm not saying to go crazy and take it all but a couple paint chips here and there is no problem...they're frre

Love this idea! I think I may use a small crafting punch to make a hole in the paint chip instead of the white construction paper, saves a step :-).
Also, it's so over the top for the one or two people that feel the need to complain about using paint chips. Get over it people! She has already said that she did buy paint. Even if she did not, who cares...they're free! If the leadership teams at these stores were loosing any sleep over people taking their FREE paint chips, I'm sure you'd see something in writing prohibiting it. SMH.
