Awesome message! We as parents tend to forget that we are people and we perform our best when we’re at our best! Those babies are just too adorable! They sold me 😀! New subbie!
Thanks! Really appreciate that! We are all trying our best as parents and it helps that the kids are innately adorable! 😂 lol
Great video, man!! Really love your first point! We forget that parenting our child properly first starts with the parent. Soooo good, man!
Thanks Andrei! Often times, it’s our own emotions (losing the ‘cool’) that causes the biggest problems when it comes to parenting.
@@DaddyDirective, it really is! At times, it is so hard to keep in check and remember they are children.
yup! We have to remember to be the responsible adult even when they make it really really hard 😅 I think one of the best way to increase our odds is to get enough sleep when ever possible 🤣 i am a pretty easy going guy but i know my fuses become VERY short when I am lacking sleep lol
@@DaddyDirective, ha!! Same! If I’m tired, it’s not pretty. lol. I can handle a lot in life and even from my kids, but if I’m exhausted, I’m done.
@@onedadsperspective1506 so so true with me too! Oh and when I am really really starving. “HANGRY” is a real thing! It’s scientifically proven! 😂👍
What is the "ONE RULE" that you ALWAYS try to abide by as a parent?
Parent your child as if your child were a younger version of yourself.
@@onedadsperspective1506 that is a GREAT approach. One of the reason we can be our children’s greatest advocate is because it is usually easier to be able to relate to what they are going through and relate to their shortcomings that is a result of certain personality trait or physical traits that we passed onto them. Even to this age, I am still surprised at times by finding how similar I am to my dad!
@@DaddyDirective, absolutely, man! It’ll be the same way with the twins. You’ll see a little bit of you and your wife in them. Its such a weird feeling! lol
Oh absolutely! I see it every day with my twins. I am enamoured by them when they show traits that mimic my own but at the same time I worry about the possible drawbacks from those traits at the back of my head because i lived through them already during my younger years. I don’t think we can ever truly stop worrying about our kids even when they grow up!
@@DaddyDirective, YES!! I know what it was like to be a teenager with the qualities that my kids appear to have. Times are different, but I do worry for them.
