Catrigg Force and Stainforth Waterfalls

- The Waterfalls were the main attraction for us to visit rather than doing a walk. It was one of the most delightful areas visited. Worth it to capture as a film. Stainforth is a small village north of Settle with a pay and display car park.
Michael's walk combined Catrigg Force with Stainforth Force waterfalls. The latter on the other side of Stainforth. Both spectacular to see and worth a return visit to see the annual salmon jumping upstream.

This is absolutely beautiful. I just love the waterfalls and the stepped gorge. And to think it has taken thousands of years for the river to cut through the hills like that. Simply spectacular. I love the cinematography and the music. I really enjoyed this vlog. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hello Chris. I am usually up today with my responses. So can't believe I missed your comments so long ago. My apologies for this oversight. Thank you so much.
This looks like a beautiful place! I’ve not been to Yorkshire much only to visit York one Christmas. I would love to go - these villages and the scenery is amazing!! Thanks for sharing 🥰
Hi 'Walking Miles'. Yes. I thought this small village very quaint to visit. it's new to me as well. We had intended doing a longer walk in the area, but enjoyed the two waterfalls so much we stayed longer than intended. Thanks so much.👍
Just beautiful, but anywhere in the Yorkshire Dales would be to me! The rushing waters took my breath away at first. Smart woman not getting too close to the edge on wet slippery rocks. ❤
Thanks Andee. To actually stand there and witness these waterfalls was awesome. The Yorkshire Dales has it's own beauty and so much to offer to anyone visiting.
I won't let guilt get in the way; it seems I travel to these wonderful places while you two do all of the work :) Thanks for sharing!
That was an amusing response, made me smile. But it doesn't feel like work, as much enjoyed at the time. Thanks for watching. 🎼👍
What a really beautiful walk! Those waterfalls are fantastic. I loved the way you filmed the falls along with Michael in longshot, particularly Catrigg Force, which gave a really good perspective of how big the falls are. I've been to Stainforth Force myself, a lovely set of falls again. As always with your soundtracks, "Water Ripples" is a great piece of music and was a great accompaniment to the shots of the falls. Have a great week 👍
Hi Patrick. Hope you are well. We didn't actually do the full intended walk, because of spending so long at the waterfalls. Also both my cameras malfunctioned towards the end. I am glad the short bit I did film panned out as it did. My music 'Water Ripples' was a combination of synths with flute melody arrangement. As always I do appreciate your support and comments. Thanks Patrick.👍
Hi Shanita and Michael another Delightful video. I enjoyed your music to accompany your film too and Michaels Knowledge of the local area was invaluable also .keep up the good work atb Glenn it’s a 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️from me
Thats so good to hear Glenn. Thanks for comments. Michael is indeed a fountain of knowledge on our walks. Glad my music suited the film too. 👍🥾
Such a impressive and fascinating waterfalls. Interesting to must and visit. Kind regards and have a blessed day.
Hi Joel. Yes. I recommend a visit to see these waterfalls. I wasn't expecting to see such majestic scenes, and to capture on camera too. Thanks for watching.
A lovely film showcasing the waterfalls at Stainforth. When I was a lad I used to stay in the youth hostel at Stainforth which has now closed alas. I have timed it right to see the leaping salmon too a couple of times. It really is something special to see. Best wishes, Chris
I didn't know there was a youth hostel in Stainforth. It's so small with pub on the bridge we crossed. Is it August time when the salmon jump the rapids? Thanks as always, for support and comments. Best wishes Chris.
@@CountrysideWalking The best time for the salmon is October, especially after heavy rain when the Ribble is running high. It is easier for them to get up the falls.
@@ChrisJB Thanks Chris for the season of salmon jumping. It would be nice to return then.
Wonderful waterfalls, and the movement in the music matches the movement and sounds of the water so well.
Not sure why but I love dry stone walls covered in moss, I could devote a whole video to them.
I'm in the Ribble Valley next week so might get chance to visit those falls.
Yes. The wall covered in moss next to Ribble River, (and along the road) had the most luminous green colour to capture on film. Glad you like the music which came together quicker than usual. I am sure you will enjoy the Ribble Valley, we often visit the area.
Very beautiful place
Thanks so much
First time I've seen these falls on a Video. Definitely on a 'to visit list' now, though I may need to bring the soundtrack 'water ripples' with me for the full effect, as the tune is just a perfect match. 😊
I am sure you will be impressed to visit and see these waterfalls. You are welcome to take my soundtrack 'Water Ripples' with you for special effects. 💦 Many thanks Nick. 🙂
Enjoyed your film Michael & seneta
a what a lovely walk and a very impressive waterfall too! Nice music that fits the visuals too! Your style reminds me of the solitary rambler (Patrick) I like his easy style which just like yours makes for good watching with a tea 🫖
Happy to support you 🤝🔔😊 Very best wishes Simon 🙏🏼😊
Thanks for your support. Much appreciated. I have followed 'Solitary Rambler' for a while. He has been very supportive in sharing my channel with others as well. Best wishes to you too. Shanita 👍🥾
