iPhone 16 Pro vs Pro Max: The Hardest Decision Ever!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 вер 2024
- iPhone 16 Pro vs iPhone 16 Pro Max is a a really tough decision this year because both phones are basically equal, other than screen size and battery life, making the iPhone 16 Pro the best smaller pro phone since the iPhone 13 Pro, and also the Pro Max is the biggest and best yet. Which is right for you?

I don't use any other device except my phone. Neither a tablet nor a laptop/desktop. That extra screen size and battery is the reason I prefer it over the pro, it feels like a multi device
Just like my cousin, only her iPhone and nothing else 😂!
And she has an iPad that's a paper weight 🤣🤣🤣
I agree if you don’t have a tablet the Max is a no brainer. I got the Pro because I have a IPad Pro 11 in
One vote for the Pro.
I went with the standard pro this year as a tow truck operator on the move all day I just didn’t want to walk around with a 6.9 inch tablet in my pocket.
You’ll be good with that charger in the truck. I don’t ever plug in my 16 pro max 😂
keep the 6.3, better in the hand and pocket. if you need more battery just get a magsafe battery pack or battery bank from anker or ESR. why get a bigger phone just for battery and be uncomfortable
Talk to em
The only reason to get the bigger one is if you really love a huge screen.
6.5 is the perfect size … hope they bring it back …. Maybe the Pro or regular IPhone if they make the SE 6.1
I have the 6.3, if i need a bigger screen i pick up my ipad for big screen, multi tasking split screen etc
That’s why I went with the Pro since I already have a Ipad
I think it’s a pretty straight forward decision. If you want a bigger screen and the best battery then it’s pro max. If you like a smaller phone and want a battery that will easily get you through a day with quite heavy use then the standard Pro is the choice.
For you, because of content recording then it’s the pro max (for the battery)
I went with the iPhone 16 Pro because it got closer to the 6'5" territory. The iPhone 11 Pro Max is my All-Time favorite size phone.
Same! The 11 pm was really the best and I’m nostalgic for it, so I went with the regular pro.
@@Mimiscellaneous I hope Apple will eventually make a 6'5" in Pro
I like the pro size so much more but I just can’t give up the battery. I’m used to easily getting 10+ hours of SOT only charging to 80% on both my current phones. I don’t feel like the pro will give me the same battery life.
You’re on your phone for over 10 hours a day??
Get off your phone a bit. Get some air

15PM to 16P here. I consume most of my media on an iPad and have a MBP and PC for computing needs. I don’t miss the size at all and you can always carry a slim battery pack if you need extra juice
Was always on Max before, and my 15 Pro was no Max. This year i did go back to Pro Max and glad i did..just better and after all Folds it don´t even feel Large. :)
Z fold 6 for multimedia experience and regular 16 pro for apple services/ camera.
Why downgrade to a Samsung though?
@@alexpiptom I carry both the iPhone is my main line. I had the 15 pro max and thought it was too big for me. With the fold 6 along my side I have a mini tablet with me 😂
ProMax for the much larger battery.
And more money 😂 200$
@@amitrathorerathore3967 128Gb more storage… and a 6.9 inch screen… so stop whining…
@@amitrathorerathore3967$100 more retail and I say that’s worth it.
@@ThePianist51 u like big size 🤔 hmm are u gay 6.9 inch
“Much bigger” 😂
I'm going back to a 6.3" display next time I upgrade. I have a 6.7" screen right now.
Me too but in a long time to come
I find the Pro Max clumsy to handle
Looks clumsy as well; that's why I switched from the 15pm to the 16pro.
Yup
Go with pro max if you want best battery life!
Easy decision pro max just cause battery alone lol
With my eyes being crap I always get the bigger phone. Considering battery go big.
I think the 16 Pro Max is perfect - the camera bump helps hold it 👌✨ I can see the 17 being 7”
You said your wife prefers the max sized phone, not quite sure about your kids (probably depends). But would that affect your decisions on which to keep?
I kept the pro for a few days and sent it back. I want the max lol and my battery life on the pro was not that great unfortunately. I do the same stuff on my devices so I don’t understand with the bigger battery why it wasn’t so great but it’s all good. I enjoyed it while I had it but the max will forever be for me ❤
I went from a pro max phone down to a regular because it felt unwieldy to use on a daily basis. Then I found the MagSafe pop socket and switched back to the pro max size. It’s definitely too big for me if I don’t have some kind of support accessory attached to it.
For me it was easy, I got the iphone 16 pro
Pro max is my kinda phone
Its so weird 16 Pro feels heavier versus 16 Pro Max. It feels weight is better spread on Pro Max. Bought `16 pro returned it and got pro Max
This is very true. More density in a smaller form factor. That is why I just went with the Max.
Go for the pro max 😅
I bought both and still CANT DECIDE!
It’s tough
This is the video i was waiting for . 😊
Hopefully it helped
16 pro 6.3 absolutely the sweetest spot
Reminds me of a slim down version of the 15 Pro Max
Glad I have 16 Pro Max the battery life is king since 13 Pro Max
Thanks for your video, it takes a lot of work to put these together. I got the 16 Pro and keep having FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). I’ve never had the bigger phone but as someone in a different video pointed out, the iPhone 11 Pro Max was 6.46” so in a sense I do have a bigger phone with a 6.3” screen on the 16 Pro. Will probably stick with what I have.
It was an easy decision for me, i just can’t use a regular 16 Pro, I love big screens. My main requirements of an iPhone is the screen has to be big (I’m visually impaired) and battery life is also a priority for me so the Pro Max is the iPhone I go for since the 11 Pro Max, or rather for me, its been since the e 6s Plus, i just can’t go back to a smaller phone now. I’m just used to having a bigger screen now.
I always thought I needed a pro max, but when I went to the 14, I got the pro and don’t miss the max. As a woman, the max is just too big for my hand, and small purses.
Still haven’t bit the bullet on 16 but am watching my provider for specials.
I own the 15 pro and I HATE the battery. How's 16 pro's battery in comparison to the 15pro? Will it last a day? I mostly use WhatsApp, about 60% of my battery goes to WhatsApp
I always carry an Android as my primary (S23 Ultra), but I have an iphone 14 Pro Max that I have used as a secondary number for a couple of years.
I prefer larger phones, but for whatever reason, the iphone 14 Pro Max just "seems" much heavier. Popsockets make everything so much easier to handle, I can't go without them. 😂
Anyway, I just bought the iphone 16pro to replace the iphone 14 Pro Max, and it is already much better to handle, and I appreciate the slight increase in screen real estate without being unwieldy. We'll see how it works out over the next year.
I was going to get the Max but the pro just the perfect balance like you said the pro going 6.3 just makes it tougher 🥴🥴
I’m normally a max user but ended up returning the 16PM for the 16pro. 16PM just felt to big and clunky and def fatigued my fingers. I prefer the size of the 15PM. First time using the smaller pro series and I’m glad they made it 6.3! Feels so nice and light and I can finally wear it comfortably in my pants and shorts without looking stupid lol. Really enjoying the portable size! Battery life is really good as good as the 15PM. I carry a portable battery pack around so don’t really care for battery
Why can't we just do smaller video and charge more often?
The problem for me is I'm getting pro for 200 & pro max for 400 from my company. Which makes the decision even worse i have huge hands & never used any iPhone except 1st gen se. I can sell 16 after 2yrs & make 200 & make 100 on the pro max. So there's that 😅 😂
Did Apple fix the Cell and Wifi connections? My 15 Pro Max is terrible
Had the Max but I returned it and ordered the regular Pro. 6.9 is just way too massive.
I have a 14 Pro Max right now and it does get uncomfortable after holding it for a while, I would like to get something more manageable now.
My vote, go for the pro! Gives a bit of credit to apple for making a smaller flagship, which you have been asking for. I will watch to see if it could be the phone for me. I agree Android, and in particular , Samsung don’t play well together with apple. Great content and insights from you, as always.
First world problems,Adam ... But I get it. I generally would always go for the battery life over form factor, but these phones are getting huge now..
I went with pro. After having pro max for 4 years straight. I definitely appreciate the change. Battery charge fast so it’s tough call but I’m sure either way you’ll be fine
Most important: comparing time taken to charge these phones say from 20% to 80% using same Watt charger. Let us know.
I'm actually considering the 16 Pro over the Pro Max due the slightly bigger display making it closer to the sweet spot as opposed to the Pro Max that borders on too big for me to daily drive comfortably
The video i was searching for.
I started using the "Plus" size phone with the 8 Plus and then into the Pro Maxs. For the 15 "I was tired of big phones" and got the 15 Pro. It was nice having a smaller phone for about a month. And I have regretted going down from the ProMax to the Pro sense then. I'm trying to skip the 16. But the next phone I get will be a Pro Max for sure.
Please provide us with an update video on which phone you ultimately decided on! Keep the great work up.
I upgraded from the 14 Pro Max in Deep Purple and just unboxed the Natural Titanium 16 Pro Max on my channel-definitely one of the best colors I’ve seen! The 6.9" display, no bezels, 48-megapixel fisheye camera, and larger battery make it totally worth the upgrade!
Carry a battery pack for extra battery
Seems like an easy decision. You want a tablet or a phone? 😂
The comparison vid I've been waiting for. It will be interesting to see which one you ultimately decide on. I'm leaning towards the regular Pro, mainly size, but I'm still waffling on the decision ;) I enjoy the more in depth topics you explore regarding real life usage to consider versus just a glossary phone review. Thanks!
I was in the same spot. Just got the 16 pro max and it’s bigger for sure and I always put a case on it which makes it even bigger BUT I still find the pro too small. My solution is i got apple care + and not use a case. Pro max feels amazing without a case and it’s cheaper to fix if you have apple care + than buying a case.
I’m honestly in the same position as you. It’s a tough decision. But I’m leaning towards the regular pro this year. What I’ve decided to do is just plug it in when I’m in the car even if I don’t need to. Then I’ll get the same or better battery than the pro max.
At 54, my eyes are definitely not getting better. For the last 7 years I have used seperate reading and everyday glasses. I am upgrading from an 8 Plus which has the same screen realestate as the regular pro but the body size of the Pro Max. I am used to the form factor. My eyes are not getting better and I plan to keep this iPhone for at least 6 years. I think there are a few people in my boat. They are used to accomodating the size in daily use and the screen realestate is the most important factor. It can mean the difference between reading your phone without swapping glasses.
Wait for iphone 17
Which one does your son prefer?
I always go with the bigger phones for the battery.
My wife is 94 pounds 4 foot 11 and has a Pro Max and never once complained about how heavy the phone is matter of fact she actually mentioned how this promax was felt lighter than the previous phone so for me it sounds funny to hear a guy complain about the weight of a phone
I went from 12 Pro to Google Pixel 6 and now to 16 Pro Max. This shit is lightweight and tall! It’s very immersive with the display and features. Worth 1200? Time shall tell
It's funny, women tend to like the pro max or plus. I have a weird mental block where I like small iPhone's but big androids. Love the 24U's size but also love the zfold6 which is kind of iPhone mini level portabilty plus a small tablet. I've been using the zfold6 since launch. Sold my iphone 15 pro and don't think I'll get a new one. First time since the original iPhone that I didn't at least own one, whether its my main device or not. I don't miss anything about it anymore, and with the new galaxy buds3 pro's and watch ultra, I think it's over for me with apple but you never know.
I’m going from an 11 pro max and just got a 16 pro. So it’ll be interesting to got back to a smaller phone
Pro max go big or go home lol
Honor magic V3
👍👍video thoughts
Can I buy one? 😢
Pro is best
True
16 Pro Max is stupid big. I don’t need a tablet I need a phone 😀
If only Samsung knew this also
With the USA being the biggest market, and having the fattest people in the world that are getting fatter at an alarming rate, I suppose they felt it was a good decision.
@@Just4freepremiumThis is the biggest BS I have read in a while. Wtf…
@@ThePianist51 it's a fact. Wtf. You deny facts? America has the most obese population in the world. Go exercise.
Adam can I ask you a question in regard to last nights video? Just a question not looking for people to go nuts. Don’t all phones that are any good vary the refresh rate on the screen depending on what you’re doing? I guess my question is if a phone were at a constant 120, or operating at 120 under basic navigation wouldn’t that be a wast of battery? Are Android phones 120 at all times, and why would you want that.
Don’t ask forbidden questions 😂 “Apple Controversies” earns clicks at any level.
Keep the Pro Max, battery life is the most important. you will get used to the bigger screen
The 13 Pro was nice, but the battery was in issue
The 13 pro and max were the battery kings
@alexpiptom Well compared to the previous series?Yes that's true. The thirteen pro max battery was larger than the thirteen pro.
I've found more men like the smaller form factor and women like the Pro Max, maybe because we can throw it in the purse, idk lol
Coming from a 14Pro and got the 16 Pro and battery was straight up garbage. Returned within 3 days and got a 16PMax. Loving it and the size increase takes a day to get used to. Get the 16Pro Max and you won’t regret it. It’s absolutely sick!!!
“Straight up garbage” is clearly not true though is it.
iam like you but i do LIKE THE BATTERY so i am going to 16 pro max
No 2TB STORAGE
NO DEAL!
Easy decision for me
😂😂
Lol, if the 1 TB model had an SD card slot you could achieve it.
@@jackwilson5542
I would never want to use iMovie with a shitty SD card. I want to be able to use apples NAND flash.
Wish smaller phones would get better battery life as I’d prefer a more compact and one hand device. It seems like my 13Pm battery st 84% capacity is about the same as a 16 pro capacity at 100% though.
Leaning towards pro 😅
Just returned my 16 pro max today, couldn’t get used to the max. Huge in my pocket, couldn’t use it one handed. Felt like I was holding up an iPad to my ear when talking on the phone. Ordering the 16 pro soon.
Let us know 😊
I picked up both and shifted back and forth at least a 10 times over the course of the last week. I've ended up going with the Pro - the Max was a chore to carry around compared to the Pro. I'm over 6' and can palm a basketball, so I'm capable of handling the bigger size, I just decided the convenience of the Pro was better for me.
I do DoorDash on a scooter in DC that made me go Pro as well
😮
I would prefer the smaller one. I already carry a massive power bank in my bag so battery life isn't the biggest concern. It's been excellent on my Pixel 9 Pro, though.
I have a hard time too, and i still don't know which one too pick. Gotta have to see them in person first.
I have ordered two cases from Amazon - one for Pro and other one for Max :) Hope it helps me to choose the right size for me
My 16 pro coming Monday or Tuesday
Pro max for me, as it felt better in hand, had a much more immersive screen, better barrery life, and key, is my main source of multi media.
