Hello from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Thanks for the great vlogs showcasing what its like to caravan in Australia, absolutely beautiful country and facilities. So much about the caravan in Australia and travel trailer in Canada are the same its quite amazing but not surprising. Things we share are the rig styles, huge variety of landscapes and climates to visit. Quite nice your season appears to be almost yearly while ours begins in May ending in October re our friend Winter. Thanks for including us in your travels very interesting.
Great Video. i Just found your channel whilst researching my June Trip back home to SA. Love Port Broughton as My Mother and her Ancestors are from Broughton. Mum was the Cook at the Hotel in the 50s and that's how my Parents Met. On a clear Night you could see the Faint Lights of Lucky Bay & Cowell from the Upstairs balcony of the Pub. My Nannas House is directly over the road from the Caravan Park on the Small Hill. i still remember when the Caravan Park never existed as Des Arbon had a Trotting Track in its location and i had many rides around it. Good mention of the Dodge Tide & Mundoora Railway which also took Passengers in the old Horse Drawn Pie Cart. Now to find time to watch the rest of your Videos
You have some real history with your connection to Port Broughton. We have visited the town for many reasons over the years and believe it to be one of the gems of S.A.
Mick and sally another great video. One thing I notice is how clean and tidy most of the towns and caravan parks are in SA. A real credit and certainly makes you want to go there. Safe travels!!
Hey Mick and Sally, love watching your videos they give us great ideas for our future travels! Tell Sally to give us a wave next time! 😊 Les and Alison 😊
Port Broughton , yes that place has some memories in my early live in late 1940's , Dad and Mum went Crabbing there a few times when I was 5 to 7 years old , as a kid I was terrified of the bloody things went they came at me . wow the place has certainly changed since then .
So cool! Love your work. Have you done port Lincoln, Coffin Bay? Cummins, and Cowell, Cleve? There's an interesting museum down there too, near Cummins. Also head of Todd River. And water pipeline taking water up the peninsula! But you would know about that! Dad's cousin helped build it. He was an engineer, and welder. Retired to fruit block in Murray River area. Graham Deane.
Thanks Chris, I think the aerials were more for the tv reception in years gone by. The latest digital reception may not need the aerials to be as high, don't quote me on that.
Great content for an Aussie abroad! Have you done Eyre Peninsula? Elliston, Port Lincoln? And Whyalla? With bigger focus on Wudinna? Please? 🤣 I read somewhere today that Viterra are talking about reopening the railway lines on Eyre Peninsula. Great if you could! No pressure! Stop in and see Roger in Wudinna! He knows of you! (My brother!)
Been to the Eyre Peninsula many times as my parents used to live that way. It is on our itinerary to go there again but not just yet. Retirement happens next year so we will get around more then.
One of those things, we can't be everywhere all at the same time. We have been to those places several times back before the UA-cam all started, we are hoping to be in the Northern Territory next year before heading to the west. We will get back to Canberra and NSW eventually🙂
The screen was purchased online from a place called Vantastic. aussieoutdoor.com.au/products/vantastic-custom-printed-screens/ Hope the link works for you.

Thanks Greg, yes it is a credit to the communities of these towns for the way that the towns are presented to tourist.
Thanks for the look. Haven’t been there yet, so I guess I should make the effort.
It is a great little spot for a visit.

Port Broughton certainly has changed for the better as have most of the country sea side towns.
Love the Hot Aussie bbq👍 We had one for many many years ..
The bbq is so quick and easy to use, very popular in it's day.
Beautiful video
Thank you, glad you liked it.
Great video guy’s, hoping to get there in July for a look on our trip to Oodnadatta track.
Hope you will have a good time when you visit Port Broughton and enjoy the Oodnadatta Track.

Nice tidy motor camp for sure Mick. Couldn't help but notice the town has a lot of tall aerials. I guess it's because of the flat terrain?
Thanks Chris, I think the aerials were more for the tv reception in years gone by. The latest digital reception may not need the aerials to be as high, don't quote me on that.
