- Follow me as I walk around and explore this area!
I had acquired an old mining claim in northern Idaho awhile back and just now had the chance to go explore it. The old cabin has falling down and almost gone.
Some snow still remains. Mid may still a little cold.
There is gold in the creek as I panned for some.
Metal detected the area with the Minelab equinox 800.

might be moving to Idaho from Texas. Always thought it would be fun to pan. I had a really nice metal detector but all i could find was pennies and dimes. :D just came across your channel. Thank you. looks fun.
Welcome back to Idaho!!!
Bears and cats,I always pack when I'm in the Idaho forest.not necessarily for four legged animals but 2 legged snakes. I've lived in north Idaho all my life. I'm farther north of where you were at.im about 80 miles south of canada.
Awesome looking area.
Might be a good idea for a fella to be heeled in his quest for peace and color. Better to be safe than sirloin.
Thx for posting Jack! It will be interesting to see further testing results this summer!
Looks cold Jack, yikes! I enjoy this kind of video that includes travel and adventures. Good job.
I'm in Mesa and that looks real cold. I'd go up there in summer
I bet you there are pull tabs on the moon. Beautiful place.
I wander often and find gold seldom. Its all good.
like to see more video,s on that claim right there
Ya you are right, it definitely looks like there was hydraulic mining going on up there. 👍🤠👍and yes I you know there are bear up in them mountains
Looks like you can get to bedrock in the area, that's key for finding gold, Thanks for video and good luck 👍
Jack, I grew up in N Idaho 30 miles from Canada border. I moved to AZ to get away from all that snow! If you go through Boise there is a town called Emmett and a ghost town named Pearl, it would be fun to check out. Take care and stay safe.
I think that’s the Old Town above Eagle off HWY 55. Access by pearl rd. Located 5 miles south of montour. I see it in my books.
Thanks for pointing it out!
@@GoldFeverAdventures I was there about 20 years ago and some buildings were still standing
The snow is not that bad up here! :D . I recently retired from the Border Patrol (worked the Bonners Ferry area and live in Sandpoint. I do some metal detecting in the area. Do you regret moving?
I'm from emmett grew up there's no buildings no more most of that land is owned back road threw pearl comes out in Horseshoe bend there's a stream that runs through pearl I panned a little there to many people are moving in sad
How do you find or acquire old mining claims? Just getting interested in all of this... super fascinating.. any help would be awesome Thanks man!
Best bet is BLM or join a local club in the area then look at their maps and see what’s around then open. Blm can help you. Maybe I should do a claim filing live wand a
Looks like a beautiful and interesting area, but what are your plans for it? It’s a bit far for a weekend jaunt, 18 or more hrs. Find out more history on claim and general area and report back to us. How much gold came out of the district?
you should always carry a side arm with you 9mm or 40 cal 45 witch you perfer you might see bear,Couger always be ready and you my friend be safe drive safly
I could spend a week here
Still own the claim???? 😮
