I think you may have a liquid line restriction bud, your SC is high which indicates your flooding your condenser coil / coax coil. A SH / suction line temperature measurement would have confirmed restriction. Recommend checking temperature drop across drier and then honing in on that TXV. You can also see where they middle circuit of your evaporator coil is not sweating indicating an un-even fill rate. It’s possible your evap coil could be restricted as well… a freeze test will tell you if your coil is restricted bud. Keep up the GREAT videos man!

      Wow you noticed that
      very good brother
Yes the txv could be stuck
I checked the drier and yes the SC was high

Hey Tad, I had a situation like this today. System was low pressure put about 3 pounds of our 410 a in the system got an 8° sub call system is working no issues could not find any leaks possibly the Schrader cores leaking but this mild temperature weather and high humidity is really throwing these pressures off just part of what we do, but good work, Tad

I have 1000’ of vertical wells I had a service company come out about 3-4 years ago system went down. They added water to the loops not much. They said it was from expansion and contraction of the ground loops over time they may need a little water. My question is it happened again and I added some water. Should I be adding antifreeze instead of water? I know initially they added some kind of glycol-water mixture when system was built. I am worried about loops freezing

My 18 year old FHP unit just had a no cooling issue. I checked pressures and found it to be low on R22 (around 45 psi on the low side) so I added around 1 pound. The pressures came up to the 68 low 220 high range, but then the evap stated icing up. I got my loop pressure gauge and found the inlet loop to be only about 8 psi! I used my gooser and added water until I got around 40 psi and the evap started melting and got good 48 degree discharge air. Without knowing proper loop pressure, what should static pressure be and what temp difference should i see across the loops? Great vids and information! I subscribed and joind! Thanks for the GEO guide.

Awesome jerry good job my friend you are doing a great things.
Static pressure for the duct work external static pressure should be point .05
Loop pressure should be anywhere from 30 - 50 psi

@@TaddyDigest Thanks for the quick reply! After watching your videos, I realized I needed to charge off of SH and SC instead of just gauge readings. I bought a used SMAN360 and with your guidance I can now make more sense of what I need to do!
I still am curious what amount of loop temp change I should see if things are working correctly?
Thanks again for sharing your knowledge with all of us!

To transfer heat from the water to the refrigerant
It acts as the condenser during the cooling operation and as the evaporator in the heating operation
