Mr. Solo said, "because I'm a lion!" I went to high school with these dudes and I can vouch that we all saw him that way (R.I.P.). He was, as Ossie Davis said in his eulogy about Malcolm X, "our shining black prince." Strong, charismatic, intelligent, gifted, handsome. All the things that make an iconic leader. Chill's testimony is evidence of that. Solo had the magnetism to pull Chill in a positive direction. He could have been a superstar in secular music. Could have been a leader in any field he chose. He chose Christ. I'm not a Christian, but it was a positive force in his life, his truth, and he dedicated his life to pulling people along. A true soldier. No, a true general. Salute.
