When moved to PTV4, Uniwide Sales left as sponsor and succeeded by AMA Computer College then Digital LG Quiz came up as new quiz show competitor. The original timeslot was 12 noon on Saturday until mid-90’s when Chibugan Na! filled noontime slot and this quiz show moved to 2pm then went back to 12 noon after the variety show ceased.
Ah, Battle of the Brains. This was absolutely brilliant and a great deal of fun to have young, brilliant contestants exude confidence and quick-wittedness in answering any and every question they could. Even David Celdran's handsome charisma helped to make this gameshow a timeless experience full of interest and distinction.
Pero still, battle of the brain parin ang mas feel ko pinapanood. I wonder kung kumusta kaya kung meron parin ganito, kung ang mga kabataan nga ngayon gomburza lang di na kilala.
I remember this in the 90s I was in grade school..yes its impressive Ateneans La Salloians, UPians and other private/ high profile schools do get to excel in these quiz games, but whats more impressive are the public school and provincial students, despite their limited resources they also win onto the next qualifying rounds..
>Uniwide later bowed out as sponsor Considering what happened to Uniwide at the time (culminating with their "magnum opus" Coastal Mall left ultimately unfinished and eventually disused until it was torn down to make way for a transport terminal), this isn't surprising And who couldn't remember _Tropang Trumpo_ parodying this show as "Battle of the Brainless"?
The heavy reliance on search engines and AI might be a cheating factor instead of using your own brain to really make a difference. I also reckon social media will also be involved because it's no longer going to be a fair game.

Battle of the Brains on Saturdays, Family Kwarta O Kahon on Sundays, RPN had a great weekend noontime slate that can't be beaten.
If we remake this show now ...may maka-score pa kaya?!?!😆😆😆

May parody version yan, yung Battle of the Brainless sa Tropa Moko Unli sa TV5
Na nagawa originally ng Tropang Trumpo back in the 90's sa ABC 5 😊
