Teleportation is my favorite ability in the whole index and railgun series because it so convenient and cool also saves money for transportation fee's hehehehe
Too add to that there is a member of MEMBER in index III who is a teleporter but isn't smart enough to do the 11th dimension calculations so he teleports relative to other people's locations.
@@giatsu4229 It's like jumping, but instead of moving through the 3rd dimension (you know, y-axis a.k.a. height) you move through the 11th. And instead of twisting your ankle when you don't stick your landing, you're splicing your limbs away.
She has demonstrated at multiple occasions that she is extremely physically capable (just many of the maneuvers she pulls of regularly like standing upright at an 90 ° angle for example are borderline superhuman, even with her powers keeping her sticking to the wall). In terms of powers she could use hers to for example increase the timespan she can keep a muscle tense but it shouldn't help increase her actual strength. It does however seem that while the baseline strength of a human in the index verse is the same as here the upper cap for a well trained human is a little higher (which is not uncommon for this kind of setting)
Always wondered how teleportation worked. Does the body get transported from one place to another, where all her particles disappear and reappear to another location? With that in mind, is it that even the same person at that point? The same mind and body, but the consciousness is lost once the body dissipates and reforms to another location....
Considering how fast she is, she can probably fold time and space. Star Trek requires cosmically complex computers to create perfect duplications, and I’ve always assumed it took two hundred years and like a thousand freak deaths before transporter technology was perfected. :D
@@YoungLeosword Well, they had perfected Stationary Teleporting by the time of Star Trek ToS, but it was Scotty who designed the formula to Teleport people and objects in motion. And if I recall correctly, there were more accidents than not with teleporters, including a time when Kirk was split into an Evil and a Good Clone.
The other series is "A Certain Magical Index " where you you see everything through Kamijo Toma's (that right hand no power guy level 0) view, and who his roommate Index is on the Magician side.Misaka Mikoto would be in competition with her. Both are same company, different side of the coin.
Teleported. It replaces the matter previously present at teleport target point. So the nails automatically "win" against the target without any consideration for durability, force, etc. Which is also why Kuroko almost never aims for the opponent's body with this, preferring to nail their clothes etc. and avoid harming them. But in this case the enemy was dangerous and inhuman enough that she made an exception.
@@zwenth Yeah I couldn't imagine how dangerous she was if she's a dark side instead of Judgement compare to other 2 teleporters. Tho the latest LN from Kamachi stated that the story are much darker than recent LN that he wroted. Kuroko was also written to as she have to killing someone tho by forced.
It makes me laugh that this person who would fully just murder someone for no reason at all, is 'redeemed' and just set free with no consequences. That's something this series really fails at, all the murderous psychos are treated like your or I and not scary monsters. Like they had assassins being used as comedic relief when they'd be killing and hunting down the members of their own team the next time we see them. It really breaks the immersion of an otherwise well thought out world
Well in the case of the science side, the story tries to show that the real villains are the adults who run the academy city, more precisely Aleister Crowley . History always conveys this message, that espers are just guinea pigs for Aleister's experiments and that their ideologies have been distorted in the midst of so much pain and suffering. But killing is still considered wrong no matter the case. that's why there is Anti-skill and Judgment that applies the "law" to punish the bad guys, the only problem is that they can't go over the law created by the administrators. in the case of this arc, the real villain wasn't this girl, but rather one of the Kiharas who are Aleister's "companions". Aleister doesn't give a damn about the city he created, he doesn't care what happens to the population as long as it doesn't interfere with his plans. A lot of people think that gym town is a good place, but it's not. Even because Aleister created the academy city for a single purpose, that is, every esper is just his puppet.
Spheres008 Port more mass and more often? Look up Move-Point another teleporter that was gonna be lvl 5 but had a childhood accident. Edit: P.S.: more distance too probably. Also lvl 6 port would probably just be unlimited distance no cooldown and infinite mass.
Coastalwaves360 i rlly want musijimie and kuroko to meet each other again and be friends because musijimie liked kuroko a bit and wanted her to join her team
To see a glimpse of that, just look at Musujime Awaki (another Lvl 4 teleporter, who is a potential candidate for Lvl 5). Kuroko's teleportation limit is 81.5 meters distance and 130.7 kg mass, while Awaki's - 800 meters distance and 4520 kg mass (though, teleporting more than 1000 kg will damage her body) + she don't need to touch objects in order to teleport them. Also shows how massive is the gap between Lvl 4 and Lvl 5: Awaki is still 4, despite being literally 10 times stronger than Kuroko, while the lower limit for 4 is just being able to freely teleport yourself.
Well it looks like a metal but it is also very much a not natural substance so it might be a pretty good insulator and is probably not ferromagnetic (which doesn't mean that Misaka can't control it in principle but ferromagnetic metal compounds are much easier since she only needs to apply a magnetic field while other metals would require her to induce a current or create a charge separation in the target)
Because it's liquid metal, one can assume that it's mercury, which is non-magnetic. Lead, Gallium and Aluminum are also non-magnetic. Not all metals can be moved by magnetism as some metals will not be attracted, but rather repelled.
@@tohaason in a way yes, funny thing is index is the main story, iirc. I couldn't care to catch up with the story long ago where she has to fight a few girls one of them with explosive dolls
Well, considering that Railgun is just a spin-off of Index and that takes place between Index I and Index II, it really doesn't have much to show for that short time, and it's clear that the main series would steal the spotlight, especially since Misaka is an original character of his. The Sisters' own arc in Railgun S, was an Original arc from Index. The only problem with Index is that it is poorly adapted. The third world war was supposed to be the climax of history up to that point but the J.C Staff managed to put a stop to all the hype. Index's LN has material for 6 more seasons with several arcs that would surpass that of the third war.
