I think for the "design a room" challenge they should do one where each queen makes their own dragcon booth. That way it is still a design aesthetic challenge but it's also promotional sort of like the dragcon panel challenges.

Not gonna lie, I loved Honey, I Shrunk the Kids when I was little, so that challenge resonated with me. Probably in the minority, but I would vote to have a "Honey, We Blew Up The Drag Queen" as a sequel, and ask Rick Moranis to be a guest judge. I'd eat it up.
I'd love to see the Gaff in 2.0. Have a drag icon as the guest like Lady Bunny or Coco Peru, and maybe lean a bit more into the impersonation and joke telling.
Ok I've solved the Porkchop Loading Dock. Make it the space where the queens go after they are eliminated in the usual way from a season. THEN you keep them all the entire season to film a behind the scenes Big Brother type show where the eliminated performers are all just trying to not kill each other to wait it out til the penultimate episode of the season they were eliminated from where they have a big contest and the winner from the PLD gets to go to the actual season finale. And then you run the footage of it as a separate supplemental show, like Untucked. And of course, it will be hosted by Porkchop!
Another failed challenge, in my opinion, is the wedding make over from season 6. The thing that could be redone is that instead of giving one partner a make over, both partners should get it. Not like a couple by one queen, but each person by each queen. It would also make a lot of good drama especially if one partner is in the top and the other in the bottom.
I also feel like they could do a queer eye acting challenge. Maybe have it be a mockumentary style like sex in the kitty girl from as4. But you know... Good
Haven’t finished watching the video, but what immediately comes to mind is the season 10 good twin bad twin challenge. To fix it the good twins should have come in to encourage the queen to overcome their fears instead of having the bad twin come in to tear them down. It was a really bad challenge and miss cracker went home ☹️
I would LOVE a super campy Rope themed acting challenge, maybe with a little hint of Clue. (The Hitchcock film Rope, not a random acting challenge about bondage) Oooo or La Cage aux Folles/The Birdcage, but one parent is a Drag King instead of Drag Queen.
I'll probably have a million separate comments so sorry in advance. The Disco-mentary challenge always confused me, because the final disco sucks portion should have been a hair metal number. It's obvious!

On acting, also hire real directors. Look at AS7. Let's not pretend the acting challenge was well written. But the end result was great and it was so constructive to have the queens work with an actual director and get experience for something they could very likely do after the show.
The challenge that definitelly needs a redo is the girl group from Espana season 3. Like, the idea of doing a Eurovision inspired challenge is cute, so I wish it could've been more like the one from UK2. Instead of completely recreating the number, the girls should've wrote their own lyrics and choreo.

This challenge wasn’t a flop, but I am DYING to see a challenge similar to the dance challenge that Alyssa won on Season 5. There’s so many things you can do with that general concept of a sort of dance performance moment.
Looking at this video, there seems to be a pattern forming with failed challenges. The challenge itself is either too simple or too specific. For example, I loved the CDR3 dance challenge but I can acknowledge that it was just too simple tbh. On Season 2, the memoir challenge was fine but I liked that Mera pointed out that they could have not done a specific genre of book and let the queens' creativity shine. It was too specific. Also, I noticed that a lot of the challenges listed are improv/acting challenges👀 just saying.
One that came to mind when you were talking about the wrong format is Pharmarusical. Why on earth was that a rusical. That concept could have worked as a commercial challenge though. I'm picturing like Katya and Alyssa's commercials in the AS2 shark tank episode.
I feel like the porkchop episode could be saved, they could do a split premiere with 6/7 drag quens per group and doing a lip sync lalaparuza, not to being eliminated but to win the challenge so every time there is a lip sync the looser of that lip sync is safe and the winner goes to the next stage to win the cash price
I feel like the porkchop loading dock could work as a Season long twist where after the queens are eliminated, they are brought back to the Porkchop Loading Dock and are paired with an early out from a previous season, and there's a challenge around the top 6-ish where it's just the eliminated queens and they do a comedy skit or makeover with the early out from a previous season and whoever wins gets to come back into the competition and maybe the early out that's on the winning team gets a guarantied spot on the next All Stars or something

Then a montage and interview of them (possibly pulling things from their audition and promo shoot) kind of like a video game. Make it more like a casting special. 2. Have stakes. The winners get their own “premiere” with no elimination, but the losers actually have an elimination. 3. Don’t have the queens meet the others until all of the winners can meet and all of the losers can meet.

when the people were collecting records before the entry before that infamous baseball game some have noticed that people are giving up records with black artists that are not doing Disco music, so this whole event was equally homophobic and racists.
as someone from australia, we don’t do brunches. it’s just not a common thing around here. brunches are more of a western world thing. they were doing talk spots which are more common at drag shows here.

What about a challenge where groups of 2 or 3 have to come up with an original drag podcast show idea similar to your own and others that are out there. They would be tasked to come up with fictional or actual events, perspectives, drag news, etc from an agreed upon region of the country, such as the South, New York, Midwest, wherever. The Pink Table talk episode comes to mind here but unlike that one, this bit would be more of a casual setting and the level of comedy or seriousness would also have to be agreed upon in the writing and preparation of the sketch which would include improv, of course. 3 or 4 minute limit.
Shakesqueer really bummed me out. It originally involved drag & he was quite possibly gay. It could've been so cool. Maybe if they'd just focussed on on the female characters in a documentary style? This might be a deep cut, but I'd like an' Inspired by Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz & Guildenstern' The Shakespeare play inspired by two ancillary characters from Hamlet, but based on all the Queer/coded side characters in Movies that had no real story. (I don't know why, but Hollywood in Mannequin springs to mind) It good be a cool way of talking about how negatively caricatured gays, queers & queens have been, giving them back stories. But maybe thats way too much for a Ru Paul Challenge.

I think the Porkchop Loading Dock could have worked if they had just made it a lipsync tournament with the winner of the lipsync getting moved up the next round and the overall winner getting a cashtip, i feel like it might have been a win win with production getting to know which queens were good lip syncers and which ones weren't (cause let be real that the point of it) and also help get to know the queens abit more then watching what i consider one of the worst episodes of the franchise
Philippines , the beauty pageant episode. The queens absolutely didn’t understand what the challenge was, improv, choreo with that scary director, character acting. It was too much. Making it a pageant rusical is the only way I could imagine fixing it.

I think the acting challenges need a revamp. There should be at least one try of something more serious/dramatic because there are a lot of queens who go on to do that. Re-doing Shakesqueer could basically be Drag the Musical. Not a redo but they should also gave to come up with the concept for a podcast, in pairs, and producer a teaser episode.
the cheerleading challenge in season 9 was too much and didn't work. I could see a cheer leading battle where two groups of cheerleaders just bounce around a bit with pompoms and read each other.

I was around when they had that Disco suck record burning moment --- while over all there are some really good tunes back then but really -- 'Disco Duck' --- that's went it went to the bad place.
I feel like if production would plan the season more around the queens they cast, instead of how they want the season to go. It would be less riggory and fails, and more success stories and redemption, And just overall a better season.
Porkchop Loading Dock should be an All Stars twist like the mirror in AS2 or the lip sync challenge in AS6.
It would suit so much better because we already know the queens on AS. It would also create better storylines moving forward.

The cast is so talented, and those edit choices for mini/main challenges, werk room conversations, even the lip syncs; are simply not fair to the queens 🙏
I think the Porkchop Loading Dock could have worked if they had just made it a lipsync tournament with the winner of the lipsync getting moved up the next round and the overall winner getting a cashtip, i feel like it might have been a win win with production getting to know which queens were good lip syncers and which ones weren't (cause let be real that the point of it) and also help get to know the queens abit more then watching what i consider one of the worst episodes of the franchise
Philippines , the beauty pageant episode. The queens absolutely didn’t understand what the challenge was, improv, choreo with that scary director, character acting. It was too much. Making it a pageant rusical is the only way I could imagine fixing it.

The Laugh in Door thing originally wasn't funny either. BUT it was because they all couldn't keep a straight face and screwed up the lines, so it was a train wreck funny thing. Laugh in was weird anyway LOL

I think the acting challenges need a revamp. There should be at least one try of something more serious/dramatic because there are a lot of queens who go on to do that.
Re-doing Shakesqueer could basically be Drag the Musical.
Not a redo but they should also gave to come up with the concept for a podcast, in pairs, and producer a teaser episode.

the cheerleading challenge in season 9 was too much and didn't work. I could see a cheer leading battle where two groups of cheerleaders just bounce around a bit with pompoms and read each other.

I think the best way to do the "pork chop loading dock" is to not actually eliminate the queens, but have them each lip sync against a lip sync assassin.
I wish on acting challenge the queen who wins the mini challenge gets to be the director,she chooses a writer to come up with the script,and then give her feedback about how the gurls performed

I was around when they had that Disco suck record burning moment --- while over all there are some really good tunes back then but really -- 'Disco Duck' --- that's went it went to the bad place.
The porkchop loading was so messed up. Season 13 was lackluster. Lala and Denali were the best entertainers and got done so dirty.

I feel like if production would plan the season more around the queens they cast, instead of how they want the season to go. It would be less riggory and fails, and more success stories and redemption, And just overall a better season.
