SSFR - Engine 121 Response *Reported Structure Fire*

In the evening hours, SSFR was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire with possible entrapment. The caller was a next door neighbor reporting flames visible from the residence, and unknown if someone was inside. Response view is from Engine 121. Chief 101 arrived on scene to find a large controlled burn of a previously demolished residential structure. Firefighters checked the area for any hazards while on the scene. No hazards were noted, and all fire was inside of the fire break. Units operated on scene for approximately 20 minutes before returning to service.

SSFR is a combination department in East Alabama staffed with a 24/7 paid EMS crew, and three paid firefighters Monday - Friday during business hours with volunteer firefighters completing staffing during all hours of the day and night. SSFR runs approximately 3,000 emergency calls annually.
