The fact that rocky planet could have formed billions of year earlier than we thought means that there's even more chance of finding extraterrestrial civilizations or remnants of them. At least that's what I'd like to think. Great and informative video.

Thank you very much. I know, the idea of ancient rocky planets is so enticing to muse on the possibilities of ancient civilisations.

If life developed on an early planet, 1-1.5 billion years after the big bang, and acquired sentience on relatively the same time scale as on Earth, would you really want to meet them? Think about it. Predators are the "smartest" lifeforms on Earth. Your an Apex predator and your reading this. There is zero evidence that as time passes man has become less predatorial. In fact we are more cunning via time and experience.
What would a 10,000,000,000 year old society of predators be like? My bet is within seconds after contact we would not survive.
You can take a predator out of the jungle, but you can't take the jungle out of a predator.

@@tayro7265 Interesting point. I used to play a video game called Star Control in the earl 90's. The main enemy that you had to fight was an alien species that at one time were enslaved by another alien species that had the ability control the minds of sentient beings . After they broken free from the mind control they made it their mission to enslave every species in the galaxy including humans. They did this to never be enslaved again.

@@ReflectiveLayerFilm I still have a copy of that game. It's right beside my DOS Duke Nuke'm.

@@tayro7265 Nice! I use to play that too along with Space Quest on 5.25" floppy. Those were the days when games came with manuals.

Heyyy count me in for a ride in that space-time machine! I’ve always wanted to know what andromeda is like, what people would call our galaxy, etc. and I would really like to go back to the French Revolution and see what Napoleon looked like for reals 😄

Can you do a video about gliese 581? Here are the clues: It is a red dwarf, there are 3 confirmed planet, 1 disputed planet and 2 disproven planets

Bad news. We now think this planet might not exist. Apparently a more recent observation couldnt find evidence of it.

Just read this on the Wikipedia page for Bernard's Star - looks like the radial velocity signal coincided with the stellar activity cycle.

Wasn’t barnard b confirmed to be a data error and not an actual planet? Or did I just miss that part of the video

But if it is older an gone through thr red giant phase , doesn't that mean that planets shouldn't have any atmosphere? Unless the planet was rouge an got captured after the red giant phase.

Barnard's star is a red dwarf and hasn't gone through the red giant phase

Barnard B is most likely a Gas Giant.
