An Alternative to Cosplay Cards? - Share Your Cosplay Social Media with RFID Tags!

- cosplay business cards have their place and are helpful for getting your name out there, but what if I told you that you could easily share your cosplay social media with others at conventions by simply having them wave their phone over a piece of your armor?
with RFID tags, it is SUPER simple to do! once they're programmed, you can place these little tags anywhere on your costume so sharing your social media and cosplay contacts is as easy as a wave of a phone nearby :)
they're also SUPER ADHD friendly because ... well, once you've got them installed you never have to remember cosplay cards! now you just have to ... remember to tell people to wave their phone over your armor (which I have ... not perfected yet LOL)

Great idea, saw the QR code comment also, you can 3d print QR code tiles. You could hide a QR code glued to a prop or if you don't like the person, hide a Rick-Roll QR code somewhere else to troll people :) Great video as ever!
oh my god now I need to do some sort of rick-roll esque thing that's brilliant. and yessss QR codes work good for this type of stuff as well, I've even seen people tape them right on the outside of their armor which, hey it works i guess! lol
I just ordered some of these cause this is a great way to do this. Hopefully they’ll work through fabric and stuff though!
cool - not every one has Bluetooth on, another method would be QR code on your table - This would give people more options without using a card. Great idea and good video.
yep! QR codes are a great idea as well but still require me to get out my phone to show em (most of the times I have Brian carrying mine lol) but still a valid option!
@@vaultfox Could you integrate the QR code into your armor? Maybe have it printed/glued/whatever under your glove plate so it's easy to get to.

Oh that's a neat idea, I'll have to try it out! Have you run into anyone who doesn't have NFC on their phone/doesn't know how to use it?
I haven't got the chance to give it a go at a convention just yet, but you don't need to have any apps on your phone to read an NFC/RFID tag. It just requires you to have a phone w/bluetooth on is all
