- I offered to clean this lady's yard up when I realized it was multiple feet into the street. I got started and man did I get myself in over my head. I spent about 10 hours doing this job and I removed a little over 3000 pounds of dirt/sod from the street to be composted. She was absolutely stunned with the result and thought I was absolutely crazy being there all day to do free work.

Thank you for this comment. So many people are acting as if property maintenance is a purely personal matter. No, it does affect other people, especially when you live in a neighborhood like this.
@@mookfarr thank you for your comment, sadly a lot of people honestly don’t tend to care much when something doesn’t personally affect them or someone they love though they forget it’s a real possibility to happen to them too and take things for granted so it means the world to see so many people having empathy and acknowledging that everyone deserves accessibility 💕🫶🥹

Dude, you are a rockstar! You deserved so much more appreciation for what you did. Not only did you do the town's job at fixing the sidewalk, but making it easier for the whole community to use the sidewalk and decrease any stormwater backup that I'm sure they had. If the family is socially uncomfortable, the lady could've at least left you a ice cold bottle of water on the porch. You also need a sign to put in their yard so that the neighbors know who to call and thank for your amazing work and possibly future jobs. Thank you for what you do!
Great ideas. I mean - who knew there was actual infrastructure under there that a town paid for.
It may not be the towns job, it might be a requirement of the homeowner to maintain it. At my location it is the responsibility of the homeowner to edge the grass on side walks and curbs and to remove blockages of leaves and yard waste from storm sewer grates. And since I live in the northern Midwest, we also have to clear the snow from sidewalks and keep them free of ice or face fines from the city - or worse get sued if someone slips and falls because you didn't clear it properly.

There is something so satisfying about gardening in fast-motion! I could not help but watch! An all-day job, for sure! Thank you for your kindness!!!❤
She said fantastic. That’s an understatement. Wow. Now for the family to be motivated and do a nice pressure wash to put the finishing touch to your hard back breaking work. YOU’RE A BLESSING SB. ☺️🙏🏼
But did you see that hard stare she gave our boys posterior on his way out? That's all the praise he needed
@@daledelatte9607wtf
The only thing they’re gonna be motivated to do is celebrate the free service with some Big Macs
I was thinking the same. A could pay for a pressure wash. The icing on the cake.
It seems they do the basic mowing. The gardens were overgrown with grass too. Smh
@@ireezy47 I agree from the looks of her..
I've noticed that you've doubled (or more) subscripers in the last few months. Congratulations and thanks for the great work.
Thank you very much!
I was expecting a more exciting reaction from her. He did wonders on mowing that lawn, the amount of work and dedication I'm speechless, I don't know if she did but I doubt it since she said "oh man, is he still here" part, but where I'm from the least we could do is to offer a bottle of water or something to drink, it doesn't matter if it's coffee, and if it's take a long time we even offer food (even if we're paying for the service). Great job! A young hardworking man. ❤
Same here! 😊 tea n coffee is the least anyone can offer as appreciation of their hard work
@Bladetron She saw him working for hours at home without changing the reason he came there, which was to work. I once had some people work at my house, and I am socially awkward . What I did was order pizza and soda, and I put them on the balcony. I did not dare to speak to them because although I was paying for the service, it was my husband who contacted them, and I was alone. I don't know. It would make sense the way she talks without excitement but not the part of not offering at least water as appreciation for his hard work. But who knows, really, maybe at the end of the day, maybe her and her husband contacted him later for paying mowing jobs as maintenance or to do the backyard, which was excluded at first.
That was what I was thinking too. When he said it was hot out there, I immediately wondered if the home owner offered him water, etc. Something tells me she didn't.
@@stephaniemiossottymirandap2750 It was a 40min vid that was condensed even more. You don't know if she offered water & if you pay attention the outfit she wore, in the beginning, is not what she was wearing in the end.
That means she probably changed her clothing. You have no idea if she offered him a drink or not.
@Black Gold I don't know what the change of clothes has to do with offering or not something to drink. I'm just commenting on what I'm seeing and hearing in the video, which she said, "he was still working outside," when he went searching for her to show the final results.
Hard work ALWAYS pays off. I am sure everyone in the neighborhood is very thankful for what you did and what you do. This deserves a sub if anything does.
Well this one doesn't pays off
This doesn't pay off and the neighbors look at it for one sec and say about time and then forget about it. That's it
Don’t let these negative nancies let you down.
Exactly :) Happy to know anyone with disabilities can still enjoy a nice walk around their block
I bet the drainage is much better on that street too!
Spencer you out did yourself on this property.
Phenomenal work of art. Thank you for being so giving with your time & skills.
Thank you so much Deb!
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS , SPENCER YOU ARE SUCH A KIND HARD WORKING PERSON GOD BLESS YOU from Texas😊
Thank you so much!
Ditto from Louisiana!! You are a wonderful worker.
This is amazing! I live in a really small country and most people live in apartments so I haven't seen houses with lawns like this before. I was really shocked when I saw the huge lawn, and the fact that you volunteered to help mow it for free?? Could have never guessed that there was actual pathways like that under all the grass 😂This is really amazing!! ❤
Not only does it make such a difference aesthetically, but you've just made it significantly easier to maintain. Lets hope they do!
I was in grounds maintenance for several years, so I put myself in your place while watching. This one about killed me! Had to take a break halfway through. 💖
😂😂😂
Hahaha I was so tired after this job!
Plus it was hot?!
My back hurt just watching you! And then when the bags broke.. ugh! 😱 I bet you have no problems sleeping after a brutal day like this. Great work!
That sewer drain corner was a wreck! Great job Spencer. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I was wondering if they get flooding there. Then wonder why there is always excess water every time it rains? Lol Neighborhood kids will probably be sad their favorite splash area is gone now. Lol 🤣😆
Amazing how much wider the streets and sidewalks are without all the overgrowth!
post10 would be proud of the drain clearing you did on this one. Seriously, the drainage along the street's gutter and through the drain is going to be 100% better. Unbelievable work, Spencer.
If ever there were a moment to say “wait, I change my mind”; this would be it 😳 your tenacity is astounding
What's apparent is that this Corner house was an ABSOLUTE EYE SORE for the community B4 SB's Amazing Generosity!! Don't know the reason behind the landscape neglect, Husband is Disabled, No husband, money is tight...Whatever. This house needed and received some serious LOVE. SB is the living example of Love thy Neighbor!! Great Job sir, that's easily a $500 or more job here in MD.
Ladies brother has CANCER and is helping him and yet all of these nasty commenters here are insulting her weight and saying she's lazy.
@@lmaree200886 yeah I was thinking - maybe God sent him, you don't know her story. And if she was underwhelmed like they say she may have been embarrassed. I know what it's like to care for the dying- if a camera busted up at my door and aired my dirty lawn-dry I'd be grateful but mortified
Florida, that's a grand job easy.
@LMW2086 what does her brother having cancer have ANYTHING to do with this? Did she get fat because her brother got sick? If she got out and cut her grass she'd lose weight. I have MS, had 10 surgeries from military service and I'm still in shape. If her brother actually has cancer she should be in better shape to stay healthy for him. She probably doesn't know how to cook and eats frozen food.
@@lmaree200886 😅h
If you watch the entire video, she does say thank you and compliment his work. 😊
I think she was just in "the moment" and didn't know what to say. She's probably embarrassed about how her yard looked too but yeah she did seem thankful.
This was amazing. I hypothesize the home owner/renter had no idea what goes into maintaining a lawn or what kind of an amazing free service you provided. I would have been a bit heart broke, to be honest, if I worked so hard for over a day for that response. Thank you for inspiring me and others to serve others without desiring recognition or thanks.
I don't know about over there. But in Australia if you are renting. You are expected to keep the grounds maintained the way they were, when you moved in. If you can't, don't move into a property you can't manage.
@@jaggirl Some of that is true. However, it is very dependent on where you live.
In many council areas you CAN keep it tidy but you're not responsible if you don't wish to (Campbelltown), whereas Canterbury-Bankstown expect YOU to do it.
It's quite interesting once you start looking at the different council policies ;)
Or they have a disability preventing them from doing so. BUT, taking care of it a little at a time, prevents all that intense work later on.
@@flowergirlabc123 I fear that’s probably the case, that she / her husband are disabled and they couldn’t afford someone else to maintain it + loose (or non existent) HOA
Really? This inspires me NOT to do that. See how it turned out for him? I don't want to be there.
That was brutal. Glad kitty was there to encourage you. 😉🐈
Yup! Thanks for watching!
Mad respect to you man... You found a great way to do something you enjoy while helping others and being of service. It may seem simple to some but I find what you do to be an inspiration. Thank you so much for proving that while there's a lot of darkness in this world... One man with their shovel, weed wacker and mowing equipment can bring so much light and life back into a neighborhood ☺️

it'd be interesting to see some sort of a follow up video with some of the properties you've done to see if the yards have been kept up with since you've brought them back to life. thanks for the content!
No, it wouldn't, because for any who haven't they would be shamed and ridiculed mercilessly. 😢
That is the complete opposite of who and what Spencer is about. ❤
Yea seeing the horrendous comments about this lady, I would never want to see Spencer again or if I saw him pull up, it would be a thanks but no thanks
@@captaincat4361she should try being a better person.
@@gtothereal how do you know what she is. You do realize that he's at a house for hours? Sometimes up to 10? Yet we only get 30 minutes of a show. I assume he has to eat, piss, and maybe shit but you do not see it. Why? It's called editing. You do see the jump cut at the end? With the woman? You have no idea what was cut out. Whether good or bad. You have no idea if she offered him something to drink or not, or whether Spencer doesn't like drinking in other places. I have friends that unless they get the water, or open it, they refuse to touch it. Again, so much is cut out to make a 30 minute show.
After all the comments on every video of his, no way in hell would I allow him on my property to get mocked on UA-cam or in real life.
I saw all these comments about her not showing gratitude but then I watched the video and she did? She reacted completely normally and was nice and thanked him and said he did a great job. I think everyone is too used to over the top reactions of people jumping up and down and overreacting. She looked very appreciative in a way that felt genuine and realistic.
I agree and there was also a part of her reaction cut out. I think she will remember this act of kindness for a very long time.
Nah. She could’ve shown more gratitude. She didn’t have to jump up and down or scream like she won the lottery but after all the work maybe a “wow. Thanks so much for all the hard work.” Especially after realizing it was way more overgrown than she realized. On the gratitude scale she was about a 4. You say she didn’t need to be a 10. But she could’ve been at least a 7.
True
Terminally online people expect everyone to be overly emotional about everything.
THANK YOU

Holy Moly! That was awesome! I always have to chuckle and scratch my head when people don't move their car off the driveway so you can do the whole edge. This transformation was incredible. The two things that would make it even better would be pressure wash and new sod. I wouldn't call that grass at this point. Two thumbs up! 👍🏻👍🏻❤️
I totally agree with moving the cars 🤷♀️ As far as the power wash and sod, I am fine with that as long as it’s not Spencer doing it! He did more than enough 😂👍
Definitely not a Spencer job. Agreed! Just my perfectionist eye looking at it. What he did was above and beyond. 😊
The neighbor did move HIS garbage can. At least this guy helped Spencer a little - 100 times more work than the lazy husband or the wife who's still in her housecoat at 4 o'clock in the afternoon!
Oh, thank goodness. I thought I was the only one who was wondering why they didn't move their cars for him. I bet that corner had had water backing up in storms for awhile, looking at the debris tangle. So I'm sure the neighbors are grateful. Awesome job as always.
The fact the cars weren't moved showed in my opinion the owner had no concept of the work being done. Hope they keep it up. Nice work Spencer. Always enjoy the work you do. I find watching it very therapeutic.
Fabulous effort. Love and blessings to you and yours.
Thank you! You too!
Apart from her underwhelming gratitude, this was really satisfying to watch! If you were closer, I'd come and help! Looks like fun 😊
