This song years ago when I heard it I started to cry. At the time I was having really good days and I questioned the Lord as to why I was crying like I was and He quietly said but how many days did you have like that. Sometimes in the situations and circumstances in our lives in taking care of everyone and everything the support we need we do without. This song gave God opportunity to release the tears I had inside regarding the days I had like that and had no support or help. This became the opportunity for God to show me He could be that support. So, if tears begin to fall when you are listening put your arms around yourself and let God hold you while yoy cry.

I just have a lot of trials l face alone but God sends His angels to reassure me that lm held in His embrace .
I love all of her songs but this one is special. I have several things that cause me to have self-pity and depression. The death of my husband is the beginning of it all. I know God is always there for us but the fleshly side of me still causes me to hurt inside. I think this song assures me Jesus understands all our hurt and feelings we have. Thank you for words in your songs that touch my life in a way that you feel that God is always there.
During these coming holidays,those of us who have lost loved ones are especially vulnerable to depression and yes, self-pity. Lord, only you know our hearts, and only you can calm our inner turmoil. But to all those who love us, give us an extra long hug, say another "I love you," because you never know when you will be the one missing someone during the days ahead. God Bless you all with the love of Jesus, our heavenly Father and saviour. Happy Thanksgiving.
I lost my wife trying to give birth to my second son it was really painful..
I've already commented twice on this video but I never saw your post/comment until this morning. I lost my husband of 41 years....43 years together total....New Years Eve will be a year. These holidays have already proven to be so hard. I've been so very depressed the past month or so. I spent our first Thanksgiving apart in 43 years just over a week ago. Now I'm facing Christmas and the 1 year anniversary of his death. I found him that morning on the living room floor. He always stayed up alot later than I did. The coroner said he'd been gone at least 8 hours. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy, finding the love of your life gone and, for so long. 💔 All you prayer warriors out there please, 🙏 please say a prayer for me. I need you lord to help me through this as I was still grieving his loss before these holidays. 🙏🙏🙏 I love you and miss you Jim!! Until we meet again.....fly high my angel! 😇😇💔💔❤❤
@@anthonyjoshua5175 I'm so sorry for your loss. Something like that, that is so unexpected, so sudden is so very hard to deal with. We couldn't make it without the peace that only God can give us. We still go through the grieving process but we're not alone! He holds us while we cry! 😥😥🙏🙏🙏

Recently I shared a song that helped me release tears locked inside “Hold me while I cry” by Karen Peck.
I remember when I would visit my parents when they were alive and my father would always take me for a ride as the scenery in New Brunswick was always beautiful. I knew those were times my dad wanted me to share my struggles but I never could. He never pressed and our conversations steered away from soul touching things regarding myself. Through out raising my girls I wanted to offer that same opportunity for them allowing them to come to me on their terms not prying.
I realize what my dad offered in those rides was the respect in allowing me to confide what I was able to and when and if I was ready. He mirrored the heart of God and Gods desire that He wanted us to share our struggles and burdens and His patience in waiting until an individual felt secure enough to trust Him with the things that hurt me deeply and could grasp His unconditional love personally.
Perfection is not expected on your parenting journey. I have had days when I was dealing with heavy, soul-crushing issues. I had days when nothing I did seemed to be good enough. I had days when smiles didn’t come easy and harsh words were spoken too quickly. I had days when I managed the basics and nothing more. On those days, I urge you to not to believe the lies like I began, that “I was a failure” and that “I was a bad parent.” I urge you to, instead, garner the strength, patience, and resolve to do one thing-just one thing: Listen. Someday your children will find themselves in difficult situations, and they’ll have to choose to suffer in silence or to speak up. Perhaps those will be the moments they will remember our eyes, the nodding of our heads, our thoughtful responses. Suddenly they will be reminded that their voices have value. That belief can make a life-changing difference.
So with that I will close thanking God for continuing to send His love and healing near and far in Jesus name. Amen.

Our Family have been hit with a hard time. Just last month one of our grandkids lost his life, leaving my daughter and son-in-law with more questions than answers. I listen to Southern Gospel and always loved this song, but at this time it just seemed to be the song that would touch them. I sent it to them and I was right. God does not care if we are hurting from something we did or others did to us. He loves, cares and holds us each and every day. And this song sums it up quite well. He holds us when we cry! Thank you Karen and New River for reminding us of that!

I lost my 95 yo Mom July 31 to dementia & I just heard this song for the 1st time the other day. I started bawling because I've had a LOT of "one of those days" since she's been gone. I was blessed to be able to care for her & my Dad (he passed in '11 & was a minister of the Gospel for over 60 yrs) @ home until God called them home. I miss them so much & this song really touched me. Thank you.

I wrote Hold Me While I Cry on Sunday October 2,1993. My father-in-law insisted that we could no longer attend the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Guymon, OK. This was upsetting to me as I had known the pastor's wife Hellen Garcia Wiggin going back to the time in the early 1980s when she was part of the Medellin Drug Cartel. God had gloriously saved her and delivered her from drugs and alcoholism. Her testimony inspired me and I hated not to have contact with her anymore.

This song has helped me through so many different obstacles one in particular. June 16,2017 i lost my baby i was 12 weeks pregnant and i went into premature labor i had to labor the whole thing 36 hour's where then i had to go into surgery bc my body wasn't doing what it was supposed to do. I felt lost and alone, i felt it was my fault when in fact i did nothing wrong. But between God and my wonderful husband and listening to this song they brought me back to my feet. Im so glad to know i habe a heavenly father that loves me

The first time I heard Karen sing this was at this very Gaither Homecoming......20 years ago I'd guess by now? I'd never heard of Karen Peck and New River but thought what a great voice she had! My first thought was actually, she'd make a great country singer.....probably more money in it but......it's not just about money! I still think it would make a great country song, (I don't know, maybe it has been sung in country?) I'm just glad Karen is still singing gospel! I've loved her for the last 20 years! Well, I've commented twice already on this video. 8 months ago and 9 months ago. Jim's been gone 10 months yesterday and I'm still crying and leaning on God! I don't think I go a day without tears. I just want this hurt to heal and try to move on with my life. It's so empty without him. We were together a total of 43 years. What do you do with yourself? I big part of me is missing. It's like cutting off an arm or leg, you're not whole anymore. I got up this morning trying to sing this song but I'm so hoarse I can't. I need your help dear Lord!! Please take all the hurt and pain away so I can be happy once again. Life here is so unpredictable, so short and fragile. I need to live what's left of the rest of my life in peace and happiness.
